Transcript
00:00Hello, we've got plenty of fine and settled weather in store across the UK this Easter Sunday, thanks to high pressure being close by to the east.
00:07Weather fronts though will gradually start to push their way in from the west over the next 24 hours or so, though it will bring some outbreaks of rain.
00:13And then over the next few days heading into next week, we'll start to see high pressure building to the north east of the UK, and with low pressure gathering to the south, we'll start to see a cooler easterly breeze becoming established.
00:24Back to this afternoon though and I'd say plenty of sunshine around, particularly across central and eastern parts of the UK, whilst out across Northern Ireland, Western Scotland and the far south west of England, we'll see some outbreaks of rain.
00:36In the sunshine, temperatures doing quite well for the time of year, up to 20 or 21 celsius.
00:41Overnight tonight we'll see outbreaks of rain edging the way eastwards across the UK, becoming lighter and patchier as they do so though, and not much rain at all in the south east, with clearer skies edging in across the west and south west by the morning, where it will start to turn fairly chilly.
00:55Into Easter Monday then, and plenty of fine weather in store once again, lots of bright and sunny weather around, but notice there will be some showers towards the north and west of the UK, and wherever you are, it will be a cooler day than today.
01:07Temperatures are peaking at 18 or 19 celsius towards the south east, nearer the low to mid teens elsewhere.
01:13That's pretty much it from me for now, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast by following us on social media.
