30 April - National weather forecast by Marco Petagna.
Transcript
00:00Hello, we're holding on to some fine weather across the south and east of the UK today.
00:05That's thanks to high pressure being close by, but the high is now starting to pull away
00:09towards the south-west of the UK, allowing a small area of low pressure to track its
00:13way south across western parts over the next 24 hours or so, bringing some rain, followed
00:18by a few showers on Monday.
00:20So back to the detail for this afternoon and confirmation of some wet and quite breezy
00:24weather, moving in across much of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:27Drier and brighter though as you head south-east into England and Wales, with top temperatures
00:31of 18C in London and the east of England at 64C in Fahrenheit.
00:36As we go through this evening into the overnight period, the cloud and rain across the north
00:40will slip its way south into England and Wales, bringing a few heavy bursts of rain towards
00:44the west of the UK, staying fine in the south-east and drier towards the north of the UK later.
00:50Frost free wherever you are tonight.
00:53Into Sunday and we'll see a north-south split weather-wise across the UK.
00:56It'll be cloudy and rather damp across much of England and Wales, with some outbreaks
01:00of rain locally heavy in the west, drier and brighter with a few showers towards the north,
01:05and top temperatures in the north in the sunshine, 16C, 61F.
01:09That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast
01:13by following us on social media.
01:15Whatever you're doing, have a great bank holiday weekend!
