00:00Hello, summer is in full swing this weekend, with most areas enjoying a good deal of dry
00:06and fine conditions, and those temperatures rising throughout the weekend, becoming locally
00:12warm if not very warm and hot across parts of the south and east by Sunday.
00:16The latest satellite picture shows largely clear skies across the bulk of England and
00:21Wales, and that's thanks largely to an area of high pressure, which is helping to keep
00:24the cloud and rain well at bay.
00:28Although we are seeing cloudier skies across parts of Scotland, and that cloud will continue
00:34across parts of northern Scotland and Northern Ireland into Saturday afternoon. Further south,
00:39largely clear skies persisting all afternoon with plenty of sunshine. And that will have
00:45an impact on temperatures, with temperatures rising into the high 20s across parts of England
00:49and Wales, although further north, with those slightly cloudier skies and fresher conditions,
00:54temperatures into the low 20s.
00:58A dry and fine evening to come, although across parts of Scotland we are still seeing
01:03cloudier skies, with some outbreaks of rain pushing eastwards into the North Sea through
01:08the parts of the Shetland Islands. Further south, clear skies, and a few mist and fog
01:14patches developing by dawn. Overnight temperatures staying firmly in double figures for most
01:19of us. It's a dry and fine start to Sunday morning, with any early morning mist and fog
01:25very quickly lifting, leaving pretty much wall-to-wall sunshine right the way across
01:31the country. We are still seeing a little bit of cloud across parts of the very far
01:35north of Scotland, but that quickly clearing eastwards into the North Sea. And those clear
01:41skies during the course of Sunday will have an impact on temperatures, with temperatures
01:44widely reaching into the high 20s across many parts of England and Wales, so generally a
01:49warmer day here. Further north, we are seeing temperatures also increasing a little bit
01:54on Saturdays, with temperatures into the mid-20s. And that settled theme continues
02:00into the new working week, with high pressure continuing to dominate the picture, although
02:04a change is underway with a cold front starting to sink south and east during the course of
02:09Monday and Tuesday, although we are still seeing temperatures into the 30s across the
02:13parts of the south. Thank you for listening, and please check our social media channels
02:18for the latest updates. Bye for now.
