Saturday - National weather forecast, presented by Dan Stroud.

00:00Hello, a good deal of dry and settled weather to come, although rather cloudy for many of
00:05us which will limit the extent of any overnight frost.
00:09So we have high pressure across the south and that is slowly easing eastwards. Further
00:14north we have a cold front which is bringing a little bit more in the way of cloud, thicker
00:17cloud with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle across parts of Scotland. Further south, rather
00:22cloudy, although it's not a totally cloudy picture with some breaks in that cloud developing
00:28during the course of the afternoon, so sunny spells are possible in places. Temperatures
00:33generally around 7 or 8 across the south, a touch warmer across the very far north of
00:38Scotland with temperatures just grazing into double figures.
00:42And that cloudy picture continues overnight, especially across many parts of England and
00:46Wales and parts of southern Scotland, although that cloud breaking up here and there, where
00:51that cloud does break, temperatures just dipping enough to allow for a touch of frost.
00:56Overnight temperatures falling to overnight lows of 1 or 2 degrees across the south,
01:017 or 8 across the far north of Scotland, although where that cloud does break, temperatures
01:05just dipping a smidgen lower.
01:09Another cloudy day tomorrow, although that cloud breaking up a little bit more readily,
01:14especially across parts of Wales and to the lee of any high ground, so a few brighter
01:19spells here and there. Temperatures generally a touch up on Saturdays with highs of around
01:258 across many parts of England and Wales, and into double figures across parts of Scotland,
01:30so feeling a bit warmer up there.
01:33And looking at the outlook, so a lot of dry and settled weather to come as we move into
01:37Monday, temperatures still rather disappointing but close to the average for the time of year.
