26 March - National weather forecast presented by Dan Stroud.
Transcript
00:00Hello. It may be the shortest weekend of the year, but blue skies and sunshine certainly
00:06are not in short supply during the course of Saturday.
00:09High pressure continues to dominate the UK's weather, although a slight change in position
00:13during the course of Sunday will allow cloud to filter in across some eastern areas.
00:18So back to this afternoon. Clear skies and sunshine is the order of the day, and winds
00:23mostly light, although a little bit fresher across the very far south.
00:28And temperatures responding to that sunshine too, rising up into the high teens, with highs
00:33generally of 18 or 19 across the south, although a rounding 19 is possible across parts of
00:39the north and west.
00:41So clear skies this evening, although during the second half of the night, clouds started
00:46to spill in across some eastern areas off the North Sea.
00:51So a bit of a chilly night, with temperatures into low single figures, especially when we
00:54actually have those clear skies for the majority of the night period, with frost possible in
00:59a few sheltered locations.
01:01So a cloudy start tomorrow morning, especially across the east, and some of that cloud spilling
01:05further west during the course of the morning, although generally lifting and breaking during
01:10the course of the early afternoon.
01:13Temperatures down a little bit on Saturday, with highs of 17 or 18 across the south, although
01:19where that cloud lingers, temperatures disappointing.
01:22We're looking at the outlook period, so a change of foot, with a colder theme set to
01:27take centre stage as we move into the new working week.
01:31Thank you for listening, and please check our social media channels for the latest updates.
01:36Bye for now.
