00:00Hello there. Welcome to your latest broadcast. High pressure is really dominating our weather
00:05scene right through the weekend and into the beginning of next week as well. We can see
00:09that on the pressure charts. A weak weather front will sink its way southwards through
00:13the early hours of Saturday, but high pressure dominating, keeping it settled for most. However,
00:18weak weather fronts will move across the far north of Scotland from time to time, but for
00:23many a settled weekend to come. So, for Friday evening, plenty of sunshine across England
00:28and Wales. A weak weather front across Northern Ireland, Northern England slowly sinks its
00:33way southwards during the early hours into Saturday morning. One or two spits of rain
00:37and drizzle on there, but most of the country will be dry. A few showers for Northern Scotland.
00:41A mild night for everyone, 12 to 15 January as the low. So, quite an uncomfortable night
00:47for sleeping and we're going to see that over the coming days as well. So, a bright start
00:52for many on Saturday morning. Some cloud across parts of the Midlands, Wales stretching up
00:57into Northern Ireland. This soon clearing its way southwards. Plenty of blue skies across
01:02much of the UK. Always thicker cloud across Northern Ireland, Northern and Western Scotland
01:06with one or two splashes of rain possible here, but it should generally be light and
01:10patchy. But in that sunshine, temperatures rising 27 Celsius as a high across central
01:15southern England. Elsewhere, a little bit cooler, 21 to 23 degrees and across the far
01:21north-west highs here, 16 or 17 degrees. Through Saturday evening, plenty of sunshine
01:26to end the day across much of the UK. A weather front will bring thicker cloud and outbreaks
01:31of rain across Northern Scotland, Orkney and Shetland in particular seeing some heavier
01:35bursts. But most places as we head overnight will be dry and another warm night to come,
01:4014, 15 Celsius as a low. But into Sunday, that means plenty of sunshine to start the
01:45day. Some low cloud initially, particularly across western areas. This slowly burns back
01:50towards the coastal areas and then high pressure in charge. So lots of strong sunshine to come
01:55through the day. Weather front will also start to clear away from Orkney and Shetland and
02:00temperatures rise further, reaching the high 20s to low 30s, 31 Celsius towards the London
02:06area. And this continues into the beginning of next week as well. Lots of sunshine, strong
02:11sunshine, the heat rising 32 Celsius Monday, 33 possible on Tuesday and also really high
02:19overnight temperatures as well. Temperatures perhaps dropping much below 18 or 19 in towns
02:24and cities. So a real hot spell on its way and for more information on this you can visit
02:29our social media channels. I'll see you again soon.
