00:00Hello, there. It's been a settled first half of the weekend, high pressure keeping it dry
00:06and largely sunny. Will it continue through Sunday? Well, here's the bigger picture, high
00:10pressure holding on, keeping it settled through the rest of the weekend and indeed into the
00:15beginning of next week too. It stays unsettled across Southern Europe, some further heavy
00:20downpours here. But for the U.K., it's fine and dry for the vast majority. To end Saturday,
00:26plenty of clear skies across the whole of the U.K., great viewing of the strawberry
00:31full moon as it rises. And then overnight, we will look towards the east, the North Sea.
00:36We'll see some low cloud filtering back inland here, perhaps thick enough for the odd spot
00:41of light rain or drizzle for one or two. But mostly, it will be dry. And then further west,
00:47we hold on to the clear skies. And with light winds, we could see a few shallow mist and
00:51fog patches developing. Temperatures, generally, towns and cities between 9 and 13 degrees.
00:57But in the countryside, like recent nights, we could see one or two spots close to freezing.
01:02So, it's a bit of a fresh start Sunday morning, but plenty of sunshine. The low cloud across
01:07the eastern third of the U.K. does burn back to the coast during the morning. But it may
01:11just hang on across eastern coast of England, northern and eastern Scotland through the
01:16day, turning it quite grey at times here. But elsewhere, plenty of sunshine to come.
01:22Some cumulus clouds bubbling up across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Perhaps an
01:26isolated light shower is possible. But the vast majority, it will be dry. And in that
01:30sunshine, it will feel warm. Temperatures reaching 23 to 25 degrees, perhaps even an
01:36isolated 26 for west Wales. But just notice the eastern side of Scotland, eastern England,
01:41still quite chilly with that breeze coming in from the North Sea, 15-16 Celsius at the
01:46very best. As a result of all that clear sky and those blue skies, the UV levels will be
01:52high to very high across much of the country. Just a little lower where we keep the cloud
01:57across some eastern coasts and the far northeast of Scotland. And across Scotland, Northern
02:01Ireland, we'll see some relief from the pollen here, low to moderate levels. But much of
02:05England and Wales will see high grass pollen counts.
02:10Just when Sunday, it's a fine note for many. Any isolated showers across Scotland will
02:14ease away. And then we look towards the North Sea. We see low cloud becoming more extensive
02:19and then slowly feeding its way southwestwards across England, in particular, perhaps reaching
02:24eastern parts of Wales. Under the clearest skies, again, with light winds, a few shallow
02:29mist and fog patches and temperatures once more very similar. Towns and cities holding
02:35up just about between 9 and 12 degrees whilst the countryside falling into single figures.
02:41So it means a grey start across central and eastern parts of England, northern and eastern
02:45Scotland. Sunny skies elsewhere once mist and fog patches clear. And then through the
02:49day, we'll slowly see this cloud burn back towards the coast. It may take longer to do
02:54so compared to what we've seen at the weekend. And some eastern parts of East Anglia up into
03:01eastern parts of North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire here could see
03:06the cloud linger all day. Once more, some cumulus clouds bubbling up across Northern
03:10Ireland and Scotland could produce an isolated shower. But for the vast majority, blue skies
03:16for much of the afternoon and temperatures also rising and responding in that sunshine
03:2024, 25 degrees possible. Again, the east coast on the chilly side.
03:26So what's in store for the rest of the week? If we take a look at the details, generally
03:30high pressure is going to hold on. It looks like the sunniest and warmest weather like
03:35we have seen over the last few weeks holding on to western areas. But there are signs as
03:40we head towards the end of the week, we could see an increasing risk of some showers moving
03:44in from the south, which also may bring in some higher temperatures and also some more
03:50humid conditions, too. So want to watch towards the end of next week. But in the meantime,
03:55plenty of dry and settled weather to come. But if you'd like more information on the
