00:00Hello there. So far it's been a lovely start across much of the country with low cloud
00:06clearing away and will we see more over the next few days? Well, high pressure really
00:10keeps it settled across northern Europe. If you're heading towards the Mediterranean,
00:15southern Europe over the next few days, it still remains showery here, the risk of some
00:19thunderstorms, but temperatures climbing over the next few days too, fairly settled across
00:25the UK. And if we look at the details for the rest of the afternoon into the evening
00:30time, plenty of sunshine across most areas. The cloud will come and go at times. Lower
00:34cloud will affect the far north of Scotland here, perhaps thick enough for the odd spot
00:40of drizzle, but otherwise plenty of dry weather to come. There is the low chance of an isolated
00:45shower developing over the higher ground of Scotland. And if we look at the temperatures,
00:51well, we still have that north easterly breeze. So coming in from quite a cool North Sea,
00:56temperatures here 15, 16 Celsius at best along some eastern coast, but come inland and further
01:02west temperatures rising into the low 20s, perhaps even one or two places across parts
01:07of Wales, southwest England getting towards 24 or 25 degrees. So feeling warm in that
01:14sunshine and that is reflected in our UV levels. We're looking at high to very high levels
01:20across the whole of the UK. So strong sunshine out there as we approach the solstice in a
01:26few weeks time. And pollen levels continue to rise as well. Grass counts here were up
01:31to high for many areas, still low across northern Scotland for some relief here. Into the evening
01:39time, it's a fine end to the day. We'll notice some low cloud coming into northeast Scotland
01:44inland areas and also just starting to lap back onshore across eastern England. But for
01:49many, plenty of sunshine ahead of dusk. And then when it is dusk, we'll see the moon rising,
01:56a full moon tonight. It's the strawberry moon. It rises just after 9 p.m. Plenty of clear
02:01skies to enjoy the spectacle. And if we look towards the east, we'll see it rise up into
02:06the sky. For the rest of the evening time and overnight, plenty of clear skies to come.
02:11Just notice the low cloud across northeast Scotland just filters a little bit further
02:16inland and also eastern England, that cloud spreading back into central parts as we head
02:21towards the end of the night. But for many, it's dry, plenty of clear spells. And just
02:26like recent night temperatures, Townsend City is generally falling just about into single
02:31figures and perhaps locally low single figures in one or two spots in the countryside. So
02:36it means a fresh start to Sunday morning. Plenty of sunshine across western parts of
02:40the UK. Lower cloud across central and eastern areas and northeast Scotland slowly lifts
02:45and breaks. But it does hang around a little bit longer for some eastern coast through
02:50the day. So it might lap on shore at times here, particularly towards east Anglia, northeast
02:55Scotland. But I'm hopeful even here we will see some sunnier breaks at times. But otherwise
03:01unbroken sunshine for many. We will see some cloud bubbling up across parts of Northern
03:05Ireland into Scotland. We could see the odd isolated shower developing by late afternoon
03:11here, but for the vast majority it will stay dry. And that sunshine is strong once again
03:16and it will lift those temperatures for many. We will see temperatures rising towards the
03:22mid 20s across western parts here up to around 25, possibly a 26 Celsius. But just notice
03:29again the east coast with that northeasterly breeze here, temperatures peg back around
03:3415 or 16 degrees. As we move into the evening time into the early hours on Sunday, we are
03:40likely to see thicker cloud pushing in from the North Sea and it will spread further westwards
03:45quicker and this will just mean a grey start to Monday morning across the far east, whilst
03:51western areas chilly but staying clear. So if you'd like more information on the weather
03:56where you are for the next few days, you can follow us on our social media channels. I'll
04:00see you again later.
