00:00Hello there. Sunday was an exceptional day across parts of Scotland. Temperatures reaching
00:0519.6 Celsius at Kinloch Ewe and it's all changed as cooler air moves in from the Atlantic.
00:13This low-pressure system is likely to give some heavy rain for Wales, Northern England
00:17through Monday. A brief respite with high pressure for Tuesday but then this next area
00:22of low pressure bringing some wet and windy weather across Northern Scotland through into
00:26Wednesday. Met obvious warnings already in place across Northern Scotland, gusts of 70
00:31to 80 miles an hour possible. Band of rain slowly pushing its way south-eastwards this
00:36evening moving into Northern England, Wales where it's going to stay for quite some time.
00:41Clearer skies following across Northern Ireland and Scotland. A few showers towards the Western
00:45Isles and Northern Isles but generally clear skies here and cloudy and murky across central
00:50southern parts of England. Under the cloud and the rain, temperatures holding up well
00:54above freezing, perhaps double figures across south-west England. A touch of frost in the
01:00clearest skies particularly across Scotland. But sunny skies here to start Monday. The
01:06sunshine turning hazy through the day but generally dry. A few showers again towards
01:10the Northern and Western Isles. This band of rain just continues across Wales, Northern
01:15England, perhaps parts of the Midlands too and then later on south-west England. The
01:18rain will be heavy at times and Met obvious warning out which could mean some localised
01:23disruption through into Monday afternoon. Cloudy skies to the south-east of this band
01:28of rain. A few glimmers of brightness could lift temperatures towards the London area
01:33to around 14 Celsius. Behind the band of rain in the sunnier skies, temperatures here 6
01:39or 7 and feeling cold under the rain all day for Northern England and parts of Wales. That
01:44rain slowly starts to push its way north and eastwards into the North Sea through the evening
01:48time. Still some heavier bursts possible as we move into the early hours. Frost reforming
01:54across Northern Ireland and Scotland quite widespread here with clear skies staying quite
01:58cloudy across much of England and Wales. So again, a temperature divide here above freezing,
02:04frost free for much of England and Wales and that patchy frost to start the day on Tuesday
02:09for Scotland and Northern Ireland. But plenty of sunshine to come here. The overnight rain
02:14just slowly pushes away. It leaves a legacy of cloud particularly across central and eastern
02:18parts of England. A few spots of drizzle possible but perhaps some brighter skies filtering
02:22in eventually to northern and western areas and then later on some showers moving into
02:28north-west Scotland. Temperatures overall a little lower compared to Monday, 7 to 9
02:34Celsius locally, 10 or 11 towards the south-east but feeling quite chilly under that cloud.
02:40The wind starts to turn very unsettled as we head towards Wednesday, particularly across
02:44the north of the UK. Northern Scotland met obvious warnings out for Wednesday gusts 70
02:49to 80 miles an hour. So it is worth staying tuned to the forecast. It generally remains
02:54breezy across much of the UK, often mild, but we could see some patchy frost at night
02:58where skies remain clear. So there's quite a bit going on with the weather over the next
03:03few days. You can keep up to date on our social media channels. See you again soon.
