00:00Hello there. It's another day of sunshine and showers across the UK. Some of them will
00:05be heavy and thundery. It could lead to some local disruption. And the reason for this
00:10is low pressure sits to the west of us at the moment. Going forward in time, it spreads
00:14its way eastwards. So, further showers, longer spells of rain, turning fresher as well as
00:20the wind switch direction. So, an unsettled week to come for many of us with heavy showers
00:25and longer spells of rain. For Sunday afternoon, showers are focused across Northern Ireland,
00:31parts of Wales, the Midlands, South West England. Some of these will be heavy and thundery at
00:36times, some hail, some gusty winds. So, we could see some localised disruption in places
00:40elsewhere will generally see drier conditions, sunny spells, but a risk of some longer spells
00:46of rain across the far north east of Scotland. So, we just take a look at the details of
00:51those showers. As I mentioned, they will be hit and miss, but we could see some very gusty
00:55winds. We could see 30-40mm of rain falling in short periods of time, similar to what
01:00we saw on Saturday, but not everywhere will catch these. As you can see, they are quite
01:04well scattered. In terms of temperatures for this afternoon, a little lower compared to
01:09Saturday. Generally, the low 20s for many, perhaps 24 or 25 towards South East England.
01:16So, in the sunshine, not feeling too bad. Into the evening time, though, showers continue
01:21to push north and eastwards across the country, though they do fade away, so most places becoming
01:26dry overnight with clear spells, a few mist and fog patches forming in the countryside
01:31and then by the end of the night, this system just starts approaching. So, an increasing
01:35amount of cloud, the risk of a few showers towards southwestern parts of the UK. In terms
01:40of temperatures tonight, generally will stay in double figures, 13-15C, so a little lower
01:47than recent nights, but still on the warm side, especially in the towns and cities.
01:53Sunny start for Monday morning, though it doesn't take long before the cloud increases
01:57from the southwest. This area of rain pushes into Wales, parts of the Midlands, northwest
02:02England as we go through the day. It could be heavy at times. Elsewhere, we'll see a
02:06mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. And once more, some of these showers could
02:10be heavy and thundery at times, particularly Northern Ireland up into Scotland. Best of
02:14the sunshine holding on across southeast England. And here is where we'll see the highest
02:19temperatures again, 24 or 25, but for most, generally the high teens to low 20s. So, feeling
02:25fresher, especially around the coast where we do have a bit of a breeze developing. Then
02:29into the evening time on Monday, we look towards the southwest as the next area of rain starts
02:35to move in here. This could be heavy and you can see across much of the UK, in fact, quite
02:39a wet end to the day, some heavy showers around. And that's the theme going forward
02:44for the week ahead. We'll see plenty of rain or showers. Some of these will be heavy at
02:49times, but there will be some sunny spells at times. Temperatures generally near average,
02:53but with a rather brisk breeze, it will feel quite cool as well. So, if you'd like more
02:59information on the weather where you are for the next few days, you can follow us on our
03:02social media channels. See you again soon.
