00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest national weather forecast. It's all changed yet again
00:05with our weather after a fairly bright sunny day on Sunday. We've got wet weather on the
00:10way through Monday. We can see that on the bigger picture. Atlantic weather system sweeping
00:14in through the course of the week ahead, bringing some outbreaks of rain, stronger winds and
00:19some heavy showers as well. So if we look at the details for the rest of Sunday to start
00:25with, we've got a fine end of the day to come. Best of the driest weather holding on
00:31across south-east England. However, in the west, the first set of Atlantic weather systems
00:35start moving in here, bringing some outbreaks of rain as we head into Monday morning. Some
00:40of this rain could be heavy at times, the wind starting to pick up along Irish sea coast
00:45too. But with a lot of cloud around, it means temperatures holding up generally in double
00:49figures to start Monday morning. But it is a grey start for many of us, a wet start particularly
00:54in the west. This rain slowly pushes eastwards through the day, perhaps east Anglia, parts
00:59of Kent holding onto a bit of brightness until later on. Behind the band of rain, it brightens
01:04up for Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, but the risk of some very heavy showers developing,
01:09some thunderstorms, hail, some localised flooding possible, so a Met Office warning in force
01:14through the day across Northern Ireland. In between though, we will see some sunny spells,
01:19but England and Wales generally staying quite cloudy. Further pulses of heavy rain pushing
01:23into the south west later on in the afternoon. This will keep temperatures lower compared
01:28to Sunday, but in any brightness, we could still reach towards 20c, but for many, the
01:33mid teens at best, and with cloud and rain around, it will feel quite muggy through the
01:37afternoon. As a result though, pollen levels lower on Monday compared to Sunday, we'll
01:43be looking at moderate for many of us. Into the evening, time of cloudy, wet end to the
01:48day across parts of England and Wales, the rain heavy and persistent as it slowly pushes
01:53eastwards. The thundery showers across Northern Ireland and southern Scotland will ease into
01:57the early hours and temperatures, well again, remaining in double figures with all that
02:02cloud and rain around. So, a bit of a wet start to Tuesday morning across some eastern
02:07areas though. The rain should start to move away quite quickly, just perhaps holding on
02:11to north east Scotland for a time. The cloud lifts and breaks through the day, but it does
02:15mean we'll see some heavy showers developing, particularly across eastern England, eastern
02:20Scotland, perhaps some longer spells of rain pushing into the south west of the UK later
02:24on. But in between, plenty of sunny spells, particularly through this central stretch
02:29of the UK and in that sunshine, feeling quite pleasant. Temperatures reaching again towards
02:34the high teens, locally 20c and UV levels in that sunshine, pretty strong, moderate
02:39for many of us. And pollen levels as a result also start to rise back to high levels, particularly
02:46in the best of that sunshine. So, if you'd like more information on the weather over
02:50the coming days, you can find out more on our social media channels. See you again soon.
