00:00Hi there, it's been a cloudy start to Tuesday for many of us and I think that cloud will
00:05stick around in many places throughout the day but there will also be a few bright spells,
00:11most notably around coasts for example. Wales and the south west coastal areas here will
00:16see some decent sunny spells emerging. Elsewhere, a few showers around, particularly Scotland,
00:22Northern Ireland, parts of Northern and Central as well as Southeastern England. Less windy
00:28compared with Monday so the showers perhaps slower moving but also feeling more pleasant
00:34I suspect with those lighter winds where we do get some sunny spells coming through,
00:3821 to 23 in the south, 18 to 19 further north. It's actually towards the end of the afternoon
00:46and into the evening where the cloud breaks up a bit more widely. Still areas of cloud floating
00:52about, still a few showers overnight for parts of Northern Scotland into Eastern England but
00:57otherwise for many it's dry, we'll see clear spells, we'll see the odd mist or fog patch
01:02forming across say higher parts of Wales and Northern England and a cooler night to come.
01:08In some places temperatures dipping into the single figures, even the mid-single figures,
01:12so a fresh start to Tuesday. Mostly fine though as a ridge of high pressure builds in,
01:18low pressure disappearing and isobars already opening out so a much less windy day compared
01:24with Sunday and Monday and it looks like we'll see plenty of sunshine first thing.
01:29The cloud will build though and I think it will spread out in the sky so by the afternoon
01:34we're back to mostly cloudy conditions although the cloud broken and we'll still see some bright
01:40weather around. A few showers developing into Wales, the Midlands, Northern England and further
01:46showers continuing for Northern Scotland as well but away from the showers actually a pleasant
01:51enough day with light winds and feeling a bit warmer compared with Tuesday. Then into Wednesday
01:58evening the cloud breaks up once again, there will be thicker clouds, some medium and high level
02:04cloud pushing in from the southwest so not entirely clear overnight and as a result not quite as cool
02:12and then Thursday we'll see further showers, some heavy downpours across central and northern areas
02:17and Friday similar in the north and west again.
