00:00Hi there. One thing that can be said about Monday's weather is that it is going to be photogenic.
00:05Some decent cloudscapes and some rainbows potentially as sunshine and showers dominates across the country.
00:11The low pressure that brought us unsettled weather through the weekend, that's pulling away.
00:15Another low on the way with an associated frontal system to bring some wet weather to central areas on Tuesday.
00:22But for Monday, plenty of showers around. The heaviest and most widespread showers will be early afternoon.
00:29Some stabilisation of the atmosphere takes place from the south-west by the end of the afternoon.
00:34So drier and brighter for parts of Wales and the south-west.
00:38But certainly across much of the country it is a case of sunny spells and showers.
00:43And that's going to make it feel on the cool side with a brisk breeze from the west.
00:47But actually temperatures not that far from average for the time of year.
00:51Any showers could be heavy towards the south-east with the odd rumble of thunder.
00:55But for the vast majority of those showers do ease after the sun goes down.
00:58Except for northern Scotland where they do continue into the evening.
01:02Elsewhere across the UK clearing skies for a time and temperatures falling away. A cool night to come.
01:08But for Northern Ireland, for western parts of England and for Wales the clouds thicken by the end of the night.
01:13With some outbreaks of rain starting to appear by dawn.
01:1612-13 Celsius in the west as that rain starts to approach.
01:20And that's towards the east dipping into the single figures or at least the low double figures.
01:25But plenty of sunshine for Scotland for eastern and southern England first thing Tuesday.
01:30However you can see this central swathe of the UK.
01:33Southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, Northern and Central England as well as Wales.
01:37Increasingly affected by outbreaks of rain.
01:39That rain heaviest across south-east Northern Ireland, south-west southern Scotland.
01:43Parts of Wales especially over hills.
01:45And it's going to feel cool where it's raining through the day with temperatures here of 15-18 Celsius.
01:51Where we do keep the sunny skies towards the south-east and the north of Scotland feeling warmer.
01:56A brisk breeze for the far north of Scotland along with a few more showers.
02:00Some dribs and drabs of rain approach the south-west by the end of the afternoon as well.
02:05But nothing as persistent as what we'll see through northern England into southern Scotland at this stage.
02:10The rain tending to fragment across Northern Ireland and Wales.
02:14This pushes way through the middle of the week.
02:17We'll see again sunny spells and showers and some more photogenic weather.
