00:00Hello, and welcome to your latest forecast from here at the Met Office.
00:04After a rather changeable weekend, we're expecting the weather to settle down this week as high pressure develops.
00:09This high pressure builds in from the west of the UK through the first half of the week, bringing lots of dry and fine weather to all parts,
00:16except the far north-west where we could see more in the way of cloud and rain at times.
00:20Overnight tonight we've got some showery rain across southern parts of the UK, but that will clear away through the second half of the night.
00:26Elsewhere it's going to be a dry night with plenty of clear spells, and under light winds and clear skies,
00:30we'll see those temperatures fall away, with a local frost possible over parts of Scotland.
00:35So there's a dry, fine and bright start to all of the UK on Monday.
00:39We will see more in the way of clouds start to drift into the far north-west of Scotland, with a little bit of rain here later,
00:44but under those sunny skies and light winds elsewhere, temperatures will build, reaching the low 20s for many of us.
00:51And that's how things stay as we head through into the evening.
00:54Dry and fine for many parts, with lots of late sunshine on offer, cloud will continue to drift in from the north-west,
01:00with further spells of rain for the far north-west of Scotland.
01:03And this is really the situation that we'll find ourselves in for much of this week.
01:08Always cloudier with a little rain out towards the north-west, drier elsewhere,
01:12and in that sunshine temperatures will build, reaching the mid to high 20s, possibly by Thursday.
01:17If you want to know more about what the weather's doing where you are,
