00:00Hello and welcome to your latest forecast from right here at the Met Office.
00:04After a warm and sunny day for many parts today, we will see showers start to push their way in from the south.
00:09That's down to this plume of warm and humid air coming off the continent.
00:13That's going to allow some heavy showers to develop and we could also see the odd rumble of thunder overnight as well.
00:19So showers initially across south west England move their way north and eastwards across central and southern England and Wales.
00:25Further north though it will be drier and with clearer skies it will feel much fresher here away from the muggy air down across southern counties.
00:33And that's really how we start off on Sunday morning.
00:35Grey with some outbreaks of rain in the south.
00:38A few showers just making their way into the south western parts of Scotland.
00:41But during the day the sun will come out, the cloud will break and that will allow temperatures to climb once again.
00:47And down in the south east we could see highs of 25 degrees and that will be the hottest day of the year so far.
00:54But with that warm and muggy air we will then see further showers start to push in from the south once again through the overnight period.
01:01And again we will see a risk of thunder from many southern parts of the country.
01:06So if you want to keep up to date with where those showers will be or how those thunderstorms will affect you,
01:10follow us on all our social media channels and I'll speak to you again soon.
