00:00Hello there, there's some thunderstorms in the forecast over the next 24 hours.
00:04Let's take a closer look at the detail. So far this morning we've seen outbreaks
00:08of rain and showers push up from the south. Some of them have been thundery
00:12across the south coast. And it's quite cloudy out there as well this morning
00:16and that cloud will linger as we head through the rest of this afternoon.
00:20The best of any sunshine will be across northern Scotland. Some brighter spells
00:23also possible across parts of Wales and the Midlands as well. And where we get
00:28the best of any sunshine temperatures could be as high as 23 degrees in the
00:32south today. Still some showers pushing in from the south though and we could
00:35still see a few thunderstorms along the south coast. As we head through this
00:39evening and overnight those thunderstorms become more widespread
00:42and we have a yellow thunderstorm warning in force across South Wales and
00:46southern counties of England. Locally we could see some frequent lightning, hail
00:50and some very heavy downpours. So first thing on Monday is a cloudy picture and
00:54those showers continue to push their way northwards but they will become less
00:58thundery as the morning goes on. Into the afternoon we hang on to a lot of
01:02cloud across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England. But further south
01:05we should see some warm sunny spells and a few heavy showers still in the
01:09forecast too. Looking ahead to next week low pressure in the west tries to work
01:14its way in and that will bring some heavy outbreaks of rain to western areas.
01:18Further east we hang on to the drier weather under the high pressure and we
01:21could see temperatures as high as 27 on Tuesday. For more details tune in later.
01:26Take care.
