28th March - National weather forecast by Becky Mitchell.
Transcript
00:00Hello there, there's been some sunshine around today but also some clouds and where we've had the cloudy skies, particularly across England and Wales, it will turn quite murky tonight with some mist and fog in places.
00:11The cloud will lower and spread its way across parts of northern England too and that could bring one or two showers.
00:17Elsewhere, it's going to stay dry with some clear spells and that could lead to a patchy rural frost.
00:22So a cold starts in the day on Monday, quite grey and murky where we've got the cloud and that cloud will only gradually lift and break as the day goes on.
00:30We could also see some showers out of the cloudy skies across parts of southern Scotland and northern England into the afternoon.
00:36Elsewhere, it should stay largely dry with some good sunny spells but again, perhaps one or two showers to end the day across Wales.
00:43Temperatures reaching about 16 or 17 in the best of the sunshine.
00:47To end Monday, it's a fairly quiet picture. We've got some showers scattered around the country and it will turn cloudier across southern parts of England and Wales as well.
00:56As we head through the rest of next week, although it's been fairly mild recently, we're about to see a big change.
01:02Much colder air will stream down from the Arctic and we could even start to see some wintry showers and some hill snow as the week goes on.
01:10So stay tuned to the weather forecast. You can catch more on our social media channels, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Take care.
