00:00Morning. We have something of a north-south split today. Some decent, fine, bright and
00:05often dry weather across southern parts. Further north, though, much cloudier and wetter, all
00:11under the influence of an area of low pressure that is pushing its way northwards and its
00:16associated fronts. And it's these that are bringing the focus of the rain today. So across
00:20parts of Northern Ireland into southern Scotland, we are going to have some heavy, persistent
00:24rain as we go through the morning. But this does start to break up and ease a little bit
00:29as we go into the afternoon. Also, some rain across eastern parts of Scotland could bring
00:34something wintry over the higher ground. But northern north-western parts, particularly
00:38the Northern Isles, the Outer Hebrides, likely to stay largely dry. There may even be a bit
00:43of brightness breaking through. Across central southern parts of England and Wales, though,
00:47here it is going to be mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells at times. There will
00:52be a scattering of showers, particularly across parts of East Midlands into East Anglia, and
00:56the potential that some of these could turn a little bit heavy at times as well. In any
01:00sunshine towards the south, it should feel relatively pleasant. Highs of around 15 or
01:0516 Celsius. But further north, feeling much more unpleasant, particularly under the rain.
01:11Here, temperatures suppressed. But also to the north, where it stays largely dry, there's
01:14a biting wind and colder air. So feeling pretty chilly indeed. As we go through the end of
01:20the day, watch out for some heavy, persistent rain spilling in across parts of Cornwall
01:24and Devon initially, and then feeding into other areas of England and Wales through the
01:28night. And more heavy rain pushing into parts of the south-west as we go through the early
01:32hours too. All the time further north, staying pretty cloudy with further rain at times,
01:38and this bringing some more hill snow. Initially over the highest ground, but it may drop to
01:42slightly lower levels as we go through the early hours of Thursday. A bit of a chilly
01:46night across far north-western parts of Scotland, particularly in any sheltered glens. We could
01:51see a touch of frost here. Elsewhere, relatively mild, most places holding up in the mid to
01:56high single figures. In fact, across some southern coastal areas we may hold up in double
02:00digits. Thursdays then is looking like a pretty unsettled
02:04day for many of us. Watch out for some heavy bursts of rain pushing their way eastwards
02:08across central-southern parts of England through the morning. Could cause some significant
02:11spray on the roads and some limited travel disruption perhaps. Otherwise, often pretty
02:16cloudy and there will be a few showery bursts here and there. Some of them could be a little
02:21bit on the heavy side before some more persistent rain again feeds in from the south-west affecting
02:26parts of Devon and Cornwall as we go into the afternoon. Temperatures for many look
02:31fairly similar to today really. Across the south, likely to be in the mid-teen celsius.
02:36Colder again further north, but just about getting into double digits across parts of
02:41southern and western Scotland and into Northern Ireland too. There is more unsettled weather
02:46to come as we go through the end of the week. Particularly in western areas, that's where
02:50we're going to have the heaviest rain. But do watch out for some very strong winds building
02:54as we go through Friday and into Saturday. But with that, we're going to drag in some
02:59warmer air. So we're likely to see temperatures rising. And in fact, on Saturday, we could
03:03reach 20 celsius for the first time this year. We obviously will keep you up to date as we
03:08get nearer the time with the potential for some very unsettled weather through the end
03:11of the week. So make sure you stay tuned to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
