00:00Hello. The weather remains pretty mixed across the UK through this week. There
00:04will be some warm sunshine but there will also be further spells of rain. For
00:09many though this afternoon looking largely dry. We started off with some
00:12heavy showers over East Anglia and the southeast. You can see them there on the
00:15radar and the rain is persisting over parts of eastern Scotland and notice
00:18approaching cloud and rain down to the southwest. That is going to turn things
00:22down because Devon and Cornwall, parts of Somerset this afternoon and eventually
00:26that rain is creeping into southern most parts of Wales. A few scattered
00:30showers across England and Wales elsewhere, maybe Northern Ireland,
00:33southern Scotland but many places dry. The main other exception will be the
00:37northeast of Scotland where it does stay dull and damp as a cold and brisk wind
00:41blowing over the Northern Isles. Temperatures here struggling somewhat
00:45six, seven degrees at best with the rain across eastern Scotland certainly eight
00:50or nine Celsius here. But elsewhere with a bit of brightness we should creep into
00:54the mid-teens 14, 15 degrees with some sunny spells over parts of the Midlands
00:58and East Anglia. The breeze picking up in the southwest as the rain moves in
01:03here that will spread the rain further north across most of Wales, the Midlands
01:07into northern England through the nights. Most of us seeing some rain through the
01:11night could be some heavier bursts for parts of Northern Ireland as well. With
01:15all the clouds and the breeze and the outbreaks of rain it should keep the
01:19temperatures up nine, ten degrees the low in the south a little cooler further
01:23north. Still the air cold enough here for some of that rain to be falling as
01:27snow over the hills and that will continue into Wednesday morning. Some of
01:31the higher routes could be affected by a little bit of that snow for a time. A wet
01:34start for Northern Ireland, much of southern and central Scotland and
01:37northern England. Parts of eastern England too waking up to rain but it
01:41should tend to scoot away from here. A sprinkling of showers in the south but
01:46many areas here also dry and fine with some decent spirals of sunshine before
01:50more rain comes into the southwest late in the day. A fairly brisk wind bringing
01:54that rain into parts of the east. That's going to feel cold coming in from the
01:58North Sea. Parts of the northwest of Scotland mostly dry and bright but still
02:02here too. A pretty chilly wind blowing and temperatures only in single figures.
02:06Those single digits with that persistent rain over the far northeast of England
02:10southeast Scotland that will feel pretty chilly for April. Whereas for the south
02:14our skies bright and 15, 16 degrees. Perhaps even 17 in one or two spots should feel
02:20pleasant in the sunny spirals. As we go through Wednesday evening not a great deal of
02:24change. We continue to feed some rain into parts of eastern Scotland. Further
02:28band of showery rain works its way up from the south. Something a little bit
02:31drier in between and we will continue with this fairly mixed picture even into
02:35the weekend with further spirals of rain but when the sun's out feeling
02:38pleasantly warm. You can catch more details if you subscribe to our YouTube
02:42channel. Be able to watch our deep dive that'll be available on Tuesday
02:46afternoon.
