00:00Hello, very good morning to you. There's a bit of frost and also some patches of mist and fog for some of us.
00:06However, across the east, it's a wet start to the day. Outbreaks of rain across eastern England will clear away as we go through the morning.
00:14However, for eastern parts of Scotland, some persistent rain could continue into the afternoon here, particularly for Orkney and Shetland.
00:21There may even be a little bit of sleet or snow over any higher ground here.
00:25For England, it is going to stay largely cloudy. Also, for much of Wales, some showers likely here could be a few heavier ones.
00:33Meanwhile, for Scotland and Northern Ireland, a few coastal showers perhaps.
00:37But a little bit further inland, it's actually looking like it will turn dry and at times quite sunny as we go through the afternoon.
00:44Temperatures will be around average for the time of year, most places staying in single figures.
00:49But towards the southwest, we may just about scrape into double digits.
00:53As we go through the evening, it's going to stay largely cloudy across many parts of England and Wales with further outbreaks of showery rain.
01:00But overnight, the focus of that cloud is going to push a little bit further eastward.
01:04So more western parts of England and Wales starting to turn a little bit clearer.
01:08Some clear skies developing here and also some clear spells across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:13Still some showers around in places mainly towards the coast, but a few penetrating their way a bit further inland, particularly across parts of Scotland.
01:20And some of those showers here are likely to bring some sleet or snow over any modest higher ground.
01:25Where we have the cloud in the east tonight, that will stop temperatures dropping particularly low.
01:30But further west, clearer skies allowing for temperatures to drop to around, if not a little bit below freezing in some prone spots.
01:37So I think there will be a bit more frost around through this coming night than there was this morning.
01:41And also some more mist and fog in places too.
01:45Through Saturday itself, there will be a bit of a westy split in our weather, particularly when it comes to sunshine amounts.
01:51In the east, quite a cloudy day. Some outbreaks of showery rain, though nothing particularly heavy.
01:57However, further west, a greater chance of seeing some bright sunny skies.
02:00Yes, still some showers, mostly towards those coastal areas.
02:04So again, some feeding further inland towards parts of Scotland.
02:07And for Orkney and Shetland, a blustery showery picture here.
02:11Despite the fact that there will be quite a bit of sunshine around, it is actually going to feel quite chilly.
02:15If anything, temperatures tomorrow likely to be down a degree or so compared to today.
02:19As we go later on in the weekend and through Sunday, we're going to see high pressure becoming more dominant.
02:25And so that is going to quieten our weather down even further.
02:28Yes, a few coastal showers are still possible, particularly towards the east.
02:32But on the whole, it is looking largely dry through Sunday and into next week as well.
02:37It's not going to be particularly warm, though. Temperatures dropping, so more likely to see more frost and some fog as well.
02:42That's it for me. I'll see you soon.
