00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest from the Met Office. It's going to be a dry
00:04but fairly cloudy day out there for the bulk of the UK, however there is some
00:08sunshine to be had. You'll notice across Northern Ireland and the bulk of Scotland
00:12where it's been quite gloomy recently, plenty of sunshine through the day. It is a
00:16cold start out there and the cold feel will last well into the afternoon here.
00:20Further south though, a different story with that cloud lingering through much
00:24of the day. Across the Far East coast here the cloud could be quite thick and
00:28could bring a patches of drizzly rain. In the West though, West Wales parts of
00:33Devon and Cornwall could see some pockets of sunshine developing by the
00:36afternoon and the temperatures not too bad for the time of year and a little
00:40bit higher than they have been recently. Highs of six or seven degrees but as I
00:44said it'll still feel quite cold well into the afternoon across Northern
00:47Ireland and Scotland. Tonight notice this area of rain starting to move in from
00:52the northwest. That will introduce mainly cloud but also some drizzly rain and a
00:56dusting of snow to the high ground of Scotland and then to the Pennines later
01:00on tonight. Ahead of that it'll stay fairly cloudy so another relatively mild
01:05night for the bulk of England and Wales. However there will be these clear skies
01:09developing across parts of Devon and Cornwall, Sussex and Kent as well as
01:14linked towards Lincolnshire. So we could see some pockets of frost here and
01:17there by tomorrow morning but across more northern Scotland we'll see widely
01:20clearer skies so it will be a cold start here again tomorrow. This area of cloud
01:26and some patchy rain will sink southwards through the course of
01:29Saturday. But however many of us will see dry weather through the bulk
01:34of the day on Saturday but the further south you are the more likely it is to
01:37be a little bit cloudier. Whereas northern areas will see skies brighten
01:41through the day plenty of sunshine by the end of the day at least and
01:44temperatures not too bad for the time of year six or seven degrees. However it's
01:49turning colder into Sunday the latter part of the weekend as another cold
01:54front sinks southwards introducing this much colder Arctic air that will bring a
01:58risk of some snow showers to northern areas of Scotland but also widely some
02:04more frost and a colder feel into the start of next week. If you're interested
02:09in a full weekend forecast you can find more details on our weekend forecast on
02:13YouTube and I'll see you next time. Bye bye.
