00:00Hello, very good evening to you. The heavy thundery rain across parts of central and
00:05southern England and Wales at the moment will clear away as we go through into the evening
00:10and overnight. That's because the low pressure centre driving it is also pushing away towards
00:15the west. Then things will turn quieter for a time. Yes, some showers on Friday, but it's
00:19on Saturday when we have the potential for some heavy, possibly even disruptive, showery
00:24rain to affect southern parts. But if we look at the details starting off through Thursday
00:28evening, still some heavy rain affecting parts of Wales in particular, and still some thunderstorms
00:33across parts of the southwest could cause some problems, especially on the roads. But
00:38like I said, all of that is going to clear away towards the west as we go through the
00:41next few hours. And so for many, it is going to turn largely dry overnight. That being
00:47said, there will be some thicker cloud across parts of northern England, southern Scotland,
00:50perhaps even north Wales as well. And this thicker cloud likely to bring a little bit
00:55of rain at times too. Also, perhaps a bit more cloud towards the far northwest of Scotland.
00:59But elsewhere, some clear skies, temperatures not dropping a huge amount though, most places
01:03holding up in double digits, particularly your towns and cities. Though do watch out
01:07for some mist and fog patches towards the southeast in particular. These should clear
01:11quite quickly first thing on Friday morning. Otherwise, as we go through Friday itself,
01:16the thick cloud across some northern parts should break up a little bit. So most of us
01:20will see some bright, if not sunny skies, and there will be a scattering of showers
01:25around. Not everywhere will catch a shower because they're going to be fairly hit or
01:29miss, but some of them could be a little bit on the heavy side, particularly across parts
01:33of Scotland. Here, there is the risk of a bit of thunder mixed in with them. But many
01:37of us will have some decent dry, if not sunny weather. And with that, temperatures climbing.
01:41For many, it is going to be a little bit warmer than on Thursday, more widely getting into
01:46the very high teens or low 20s. So feeling pretty warm indeed, if you do catch any sunshine.
01:51The exception being perhaps towards some eastern coastal parts where there's going to be a
01:55bit of an onshore breeze making it feel that little bit cooler. As we go through the end
02:00of the day on Friday, most of the showers are going to ease and clear away. So it is
02:05going to turn largely dry again, though a bit more cloud spilling its way in from the
02:09North Sea, some low cloud pushing its way in, gradually making its way a little bit
02:13further westwards. Western areas likely to hold on to some clearer skies, but again,
02:18temperatures not really dropping a huge amount. Similar to Thursday night, really many places
02:22holding up in double digits. Early on on Saturday morning, you'll see there is some heavy showery
02:28rain starting to push its way into the southeast, and that's likely to spread further westwards
02:33across southern counties as we go through Saturday itself. Could be pretty heavy, could
02:37be a little bit disruptive, so do watch out for that. Elsewhere, the showers look much
02:41more hit and miss, though there could still be the odd heavy one, the odd damp, or perhaps
02:45even the odd rumble of thunder. Again, we should see some bright or sunny skies, temperatures
02:51perhaps a little bit lower than on Friday, but still mid to high teens or low 20s for
02:55many of us, so feeling pleasantly warm where we get any sunshine. As we go through later
03:01on in the weekend, and there is high pressure to the west of us trying to dominate our weather,
03:05so whilst there will be some showers on Sunday, they don't look like they'll be quite as intense
03:09as on Saturday, and also a few showers possible on Monday, but it does look like it will be
03:14largely dry for many of us. There is more information about the forecast you can expect
03:19this weekend on our YouTube channel, and also make sure with some fine but also showery
03:23weather to come this weekend, you're weather ready. Check out some advice from us and our
03:28partners on our website. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
