00:00Hello, very good day to you. Yes, there are a few showers around today and even a bit
00:04more rain across parts of Scotland and there will be through the next few days. But high
00:09pressure is building. It is going to turn largely settled across the bulk of the country
00:13as we go through much of this week. And with that high pressure, lots of fine sunny weather
00:18and also temperatures rising as we head towards the end of the week and into the weekend,
00:23we're likely to get into the mid 20 Celsius. So feeling a bit more like we would hope it
00:28would at this stage in spring summers, not too far away. But let's look at the detail
00:33through this afternoon. And there's quite a bit of cloud at the moment. And like I said,
00:37some outbreaks of rain across parts of Scotland, a few showers dotted elsewhere. Some of them
00:42could be a little bit on the heavy side, but perhaps there won't be as many showers as
00:46shown behind me. So a good chance that most of us will actually stay dry and most of us
00:51will see some bright sunny spells, some breaks developing in the cloud as we go through the
00:56afternoon. In the breaks, in the sunshine, temperatures should rise quite nicely. Low
01:0020s towards the south, a little bit cooler than this further north, but nonetheless not feeling
01:05too bad, especially if you do see any of that sunshine. A few showers will continue as we go
01:11into the evening. A few outbreaks of rain still across parts of Scotland, but generally it is
01:15going to turn dry overnight. A bit of cloud pushing in from the North Sea. So North Sea
01:20coastal areas turning pretty cloudy overnight. Further west, though, a bit more clear skies
01:24around. And as a result, we could see some mist and fog patches developing where we see the clear
01:30skies and also a bit of mist and murk perhaps coming in from the coast towards western parts
01:35too. It's not going to be a particularly chilly night. Some places will hold up in double figures,
01:40though most areas just about dropping into single figures as we look through into Wednesday. And
01:46while it's looking like a fine day for many of us, once any mist and fog does clear away
01:51towards the northwest, though, across northwestern parts of Scotland, perhaps the far northwest of
01:55Northern Ireland, a bit more cloud here and some outbreaks of rain, perhaps a few spots of rain
02:00further south across other areas of Scotland too. But for much of England and Wales, yes,
02:05we can't rule out a shower, but on the whole, it's looking like another largely fine day and
02:11there perhaps will be a bit more sunshine than today. And as a result, it may feel a little bit
02:16warmer, even though temperatures on paper won't be a huge amount different to what we're seeing
02:21today. Perhaps a little bit higher towards northern areas, but again, towards more southern
02:25areas, high teens, low 20s perhaps. Now, the other thing that we do need to bear in mind at this time
02:31of year with the fine sunny weather, UV levels. They're generally going to be moderate for many
02:36areas, but towards the south, some high levels of UV. So if you do spend a good deal of time outside
02:42tomorrow, then you will need to make sure you are protected from the sun. Looking further ahead and
02:47like I said, high pressure is building and it's going to dominate the picture as we go through
02:51much of this week. So plenty of fine warm weather to come for most of us. A bit more rain though
02:55towards the far north northwest of the UK and the whole time you can't rule out an isolated shower
03:01elsewhere. But on the whole, it is going to stay dry and fine for many of us. It's the weather most
03:06of us have been looking forward to. Remember, you can check out our deep dive, which will be available
03:11on our YouTube channel later this afternoon with Annie. Otherwise, I'll see you again soon. Ta-ra.
