00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. We'll hold on to rather mixed
00:04weather conditions across the UK over the next few days, some showers at times but some
00:08sunshine too. Low pressure is dominating centred towards the north-west of the UK at the moment,
00:12feeding those showers in from the south-west. We'll need to keep an eye on this little feature
00:15down towards the south-west of the UK that will feed more persistent rain in across much
00:20of England and Wales certainly through Sunday night.
00:22Back to the detail now for the overnight period. We'll hold on to showers towards the north
00:26and west of the UK. Some of those quite heavy, particularly towards the west of Scotland. So
00:30the best of the clear spells down towards the south and east. And wherever you are,
00:34it's a pretty warm night for the time of year. Temperatures holding up in double figures,
00:37in fact no lower than mid-teens across the parts of the south and east of the UK. 15
00:42Celsius there as the upper 50s in Fahrenheit. As for Sunday, it's another day of sunshine
00:47and showers. The showers most frequent towards the north and west of the UK. I think heaviest
00:51though towards the north and north-east of Scotland. Here again we could see one or two
00:54thundery ones as we go through the day on Sunday. It's down towards the south and east,
00:58the showers more scattered, so more on the way of sunshine, with rain approaching the
01:02far south-west there later on in the day. In the sunshine, temperatures climbing into
01:06the low 20s, peaking at 22 or 23 degrees down towards the south-east. 23 is 73 in Fahrenheit,
01:12a little bit cooler towards the north. But on the whole, those temperatures are close
01:15to where they should be for the time of year.
01:18As for Monday, it's a pretty unsettled day across the south of the UK. England and Wales
01:22seeing heavy bursts of rain moving in from the south-west, some of that on the thundery
01:26side. Whereas towards the north and north-west, a brighter picture. Scotland and Northern
01:30Ireland seeing a mixture of sunshine and showers. The showers fairly well scattered though,
01:34but as I say, one or two of those could be on the heavy side too. Temperatures peaking
01:37in the high teens to low 20s, again pretty much where they should be for the time of
01:41year.
01:42That's it from me, I'll see you soon. Take care for now, bye bye.
