00:00Hello, I'm Marco Petania, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. We'll
00:04see plenty of fine weather across the UK during the week ahead, high pressure generally in
00:08charge. As we head through the evening into the overnight period, there are a few showers
00:11to contend with, certainly across the north of England, southern parts of Scotland, moving
00:15their way westwards into Irish sea areas into the early hours of Monday, even reaching parts
00:19of the east of Northern Ireland by the morning itself. Down towards the south-east of England,
00:23also keeping an eye on some showers moving in from the north-east there, could give some
00:27icy stretches going into Monday morning. But elsewhere, a quieter picture, lots of
00:31clear weather around, some fog patches in one or two spots, and also a widespread frost
00:35too by Monday morning, with temperatures widely dipping down to, if not below freezing, certainly
00:40down to minus 3, if not minus 4 degrees in a few rural spots. So as for Monday itself,
00:45keeping an eye on the south-east there, we have an ice warning out in full until 10 o'clock,
00:49the showers moving their way in from the east, giving some slippery surfaces, certainly for
00:52the rush hour on Monday down towards the south-east there. As we go through the day, those showers
00:56migrate their way westwards across other southern counties of England, turning increasingly
01:00to rain as temperatures start to rise. And elsewhere, apart from the odd shower across
01:04the east of Northern Ireland during the morning, there'll be plenty of fine weather around,
01:07lots of sunshine after that foggy, locally frosty start. But staying cold, temperatures
01:11no better than 4 or 5 degrees into the afternoon, 5 down towards the south-west is 41 in Fahrenheit.
01:17Add on the effect of quite a brisk eastern or feisty breeze, especially across the south
01:21and east of the UK, and it'll feel more like minus 1 or minus 2 degrees. So you'll certainly
01:25need to wrap up warm if you're heading out and about. As for the evening into the overnight
01:30period, the showers continue their way westwards across southern counties, reaching the south-west
01:34of England. Again, because of the 1 or 2 wintry showers, as temperatures drop, certainly over
01:38the moors in the south-west, a bit of wintriness here. And elsewhere, a quieter picture, lots
01:43of clear weather around going into Tuesday morning, so turning very frosty once again,
01:47with 1 or 2 fog patches developing by the morning on Tuesday. After a foggy, frosty
01:52start in places on Tuesday, it does promise to be a much brighter day across the UK, lots
01:56of sunshine developing almost across the UK in fact, just the odd patch of cloud around
02:00turning the sunshine hazy in places. But it will stay quite breezy, especially towards
02:04the south and east of the UK, and here it will be quite cold once again in that breeze,
02:09with temperatures generally no better than 4 or 5, locally perhaps 6 Celsius, that's
02:1343 in Fahrenheit. That's pretty much it from me, but of course you can keep tuned to The
