00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather forecast on The Met. As we head into the new
00:04season of summer, the weather certainly looks like it's going to remain fairly similar with
00:08high pressure remaining in charge. For Wednesday afternoon, we've got plenty of cloud across
00:12many central parts of England, eastern England into Wales. The hope is some of this will
00:17burn away as the afternoon goes on, but really best of the sunshine reserved for parts of
00:21Scotland, Northern Ireland and parts of north-western England too. So where we do see the sunshine,
00:26temperatures responding could potentially see highs reaching 25 or 26 degrees in parts
00:31of western Scotland, but especially along the eastern seaboard of England where that
00:35cloud remains stubborn and combined with an onshore breeze, temperatures really struggling
00:40only reaching around 14 or 15 degrees. But if you do see the sunshine, do be aware that
00:45the sun is pretty much as strong as it gets across the UK this time of year, so high levels
00:50of UV across a lot of the country, potentially even very high across the very far south coast
00:55of the country. And pollen levels, always bad news across England and Wales, moderate
01:00to high levels of grass pollen. Not quite into the grass pollen season just yet for
01:05Northern Ireland and Scotland, so here pollen levels remain low. So having a look at this
01:10evening, plenty of late sunshine across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and north-western
01:14England. Elsewhere, cloud will gradually spread its way westwards as the night goes on. Still
01:19thick enough at times to be used for a few spots of rain across the very far north of
01:23Scotland, but under the cloud cover, temperatures not falling much lower than around 8 to 10
01:28degrees. Could just see a touch of ground frost across parts of western Scotland and
01:32Northern Ireland in the clearest skies. But here, we'll see plenty of sunshine from the
01:36word go tomorrow, a pleasant start to the day. Could just see a few mist and fog patches
01:41first wing, but they will quickly burn away. And the low cloud across many parts of England
01:46and Wales will just gradually move its way back towards the North Sea as we go towards
01:51lunchtime. So I'm hopeful by the afternoon, a lot of the UK will see plenty of sunshine,
01:56but probably along the North Sea coast of England especially here, probably remaining
02:00quite dull. And combined with that onshore breeze, another chilly one here, temperatures
02:05only reaching the mid-teens. We're further west, again into the low 20s. Then having
02:11a look at Friday, a rinse-repeat performance really, after a cloudy start across parts
02:16of England and Wales. The cloud will return towards the North Sea, giving a pleasant day
02:20for a lot of the country. Best of the sunshine always across the west. And here, we'll see
02:25the highest temperatures reaching around 22, 23 degrees in places, but out towards the
02:30east, still feeling quite chilly for the time of year. Well, if you want more information
02:35about the weather where you are, you can always follow us on social media or check out our
