00:00Hello, it was another changeable day across the UK on Thursday and that rather unsettled
00:04theme looks set to continue for the rest of this working week. If we look at the pressure
00:07pattern then you can see the reason why. Low pressure still very much dominating our weather
00:11at the moment, some more persistent rain spreading across southern coastal parts on Friday. But
00:15then it's all changed as we head through the weekend into the early part of next week as
00:19we start to see pressure build across the country. High pressure then becoming centred
00:22towards the north east of the UK and as that happens that will keep most weather fronts
00:26at bay and increasing amounts of dry bright and sunny weather developing. But still quite
00:30a strong easterly breeze developing as we head into the early part of next week. Back
00:34to Thursday evening and overnight then we still see some further shower outbreaks of
00:37rain across parts of Scotland, north east England as we head through the night. But
00:40elsewhere yes there will be one or two showers but much of England, Wales and Northern Ireland
00:44will turn drier and clearer with one or two mist and fog patches. But then all eyes towards
00:49the south west as we see cloud and outbreaks of rain spreading in across Devon and Cornwall
00:52as we head through the night with a strengthening breeze here as well. Now where we got that
00:56cloud it will stay milder, lows of 6 or 7 but elsewhere as I said quite a chilly night
01:00to come, temperatures in rural spots falling close to if not below freezing. So here we
01:05get off to a fairly bright start, one or two showers from the word go. But all eyes towards
01:08the south west as we see quite a wet morning across parts of Devon and Cornwall with that
01:12rain then slowly extending across other southern coastal parts. But elsewhere yes there will
01:17be some brightness but it won't be long before we see widespread heavy showers developing
01:21across the country. Anywhere could really have some hail and thunder developing with
01:24light winds as well. These will become quite slow moving too. Something a little bit dry
01:29and brighter across the far west though as we head into the latter part of the afternoon.
01:34Despite the light winds it will still feel fairly chilly I think for the time of the
01:37year. Where we got thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain, temperatures in one or two spots
01:40staying in single figures. But generally highs of 10 to 12 degrees which is a little bit
01:44cooler I think for the middle part of April. Now towards the latter part of the afternoon
01:49we start to see some heavy more persistent rain developing across parts of south east
01:52England, east Anglia and that will slowly push its way south eastwards. So quite a wet
01:55picture for the evening rush hour here. But elsewhere though many of those showers will
02:00start to fade away as we head through the evening and overnight. Increasingly we're
02:03going to see clear skies developing and again that will lead to quite a chilly night with
02:06one or two mist and fog patches. Here we're overnight lows again in rural spots falling
02:11fairly close to freezing. But that gets us off to a sunny start on Saturday morning.
02:15A very optimistic start to the weekend. We still hang on to some thicker cloud across
02:19parts of the east Midlands, east Anglia, south east England and through the afternoon that
02:22could lead to one or two showers. Again could be heavy but for most places a much better
02:26day to come on Saturday. Plenty of dry fine weather, lots of sunshine, light winds turn
02:30in that sunshine feeling a bit warmer too. So as I said it's starting to settle down
02:36even more so as we head through Sunday into next week as well. For more information you
02:39can always follow us on social media.
