00:00Hello. The easterly breeze continues to bring a chill to North Sea coast, but also plenty
00:05of spring sunshine and not much rain. We did see a few showers, as you can see here on
00:10the radar across the southwest early this morning, but they have been drifting away
00:14and so for much the rest of the day, it is going to be dry and find quite a bit of cloud
00:18across some parts of central England and Wales, but melting away from eastern England, northern
00:24England, plenty of sunshine here for Northern Ireland and lots of sunshine across Scotland,
00:28always keeping a bit more cloud in the southwestern quarter, still a small chance of a shower,
00:33but the vast majority dry. That easterly breeze is bringing a fresh feel to eastern coasts,
00:3912, 13 at best and on the coast itself, maybe more like 10 or 11, but further west with
00:45a bit of shelter, again, western Scotland probably seeing the top temperatures, maybe
00:49not quite as high as the past couple of days, but we could still get 19, perhaps even still
00:54squeeze out of 20 Celsius. As we go through the evening, we'll see the cloud melting away
01:00further from the west, so most places become clear, some misty conditions over the Pennines
01:05perhaps and maybe on some eastern coast too, but generally it'll be dry and clear, enough
01:11of a breeze to stop temperatures dropping too low, but still it's going to be a fresh
01:15old start to Thursday down to threes and fours in towns and cities and some frost is likely
01:21over the hills of North Wales, Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. So yes, a chilly
01:27start to Thursday, but a cracking day by and large, still some mist and low clouds over
01:33the hills of Northern England and always the potential for some mist in an easterly wind
01:38to affect North Sea coast, particularly eastern coast of Scotland. But for most places, dry
01:43and sunny sums up Thursday with that easterly breeze again, bringing a fresh feel to North
01:48Sea coast. Come the afternoon, we are in for the start of a change with clouds splitting
01:54into East Anglia and the southeast and some showers possible here late in the day. Temperature
01:59wise, well again, that east-west split with eastern areas struggling to get into the teens
02:04and feeling colder on the coast with that breeze. Further west, temperatures closer
02:08to average and again, western Scotland, 17, 18 Celsius is likely, turning cooler as the
02:15breeze picks up and the cloud comes into the southeastern corner of the country during
02:19Thursday evening. Increasing chance of seeing some showers developing for East Anglia and
02:23the southeast during Thursday night and into Friday. And that is, as I say, the science
02:29of more of a change. Come Friday, quite a lot of cloud for England and Wales with some
02:33outbreaks of rain. Whereas we should hang on to the clearest skies for Scotland and
02:37Northern Ireland. With the clearest skies, particularly tomorrow night, there is a chance
02:41of seeing the aurora as well. For more on that, check out our social media feeds, particularly
02:46Twitter. And for more details on the outlook, make sure you catch our 10-day trend. That
02:51will be on YouTube for Wednesday afternoon.
