00:00Hello, it's turning much colder over the weekend and many of us will see some rain through
00:06the coming days but not all of us at the same time and that's because we've got low pressure
00:11in charge but that's swinging a variety of occluded fronts. So you see the purple fronts
00:17which are scattered across the country, not affecting all of one place at one time. But
00:23for all of us, we will then see that low pressure push off to the east and a cold northerly
00:28wind develop into the start of next week. But through the rest of Friday, before we
00:34get to the weekend, we've got an occluded front bringing some rain to many central areas
00:39of the UK, so Northern Ireland, Northern England and into the Midlands too, we'll see outbreaks
00:44of rain throughout the night. Further north though, we'll stick with that clearer weather
00:49and to the south too, however, pockets of frost and fog could develop. We're likely
00:54to see some hark encroach in from the North Sea as well across Northern Scotland by Saturday
01:00morning. So a bit of a mixed picture to the start on Saturday but some sunshine on offer,
01:05particularly across the south and the north despite the chilly start. Rain will become
01:10a little bit more widespread throughout the day, particularly affecting the likes of Northern
01:14Ireland, Southern Scotland, Northern England and some showers developing across the Midlands
01:18and North West England into the afternoon. We'll also see some shower outbreaks of rain
01:23affecting South Wales, South East England and temperatures will be around average for
01:29the time of year for many areas. However, with the best of that sunshine across Northern
01:34Scotland and the north west of Scotland is where we'll see the highest temperatures,
01:38highs of 16, possibly 17 degrees. Not quite as warm as Friday, but still pretty warm for
01:44the time of year. Then as we head through Saturday night, we'll see a lot of cloud around
01:50throughout the night, not quite as cold overnight. Many areas seeing some rain, some quite heavy
01:55rain pushing up from the channel into the south coast and parts of the Midlands. And the rain
02:00will also finally reach parts of Scotland, so much cloudier and wetter night. It'll also turn
02:06quite windy, as I said, frost free Sunday morning, but it's going to start to feel that much colder
02:14through Sunday. So that strong northerly wind will bring a very cold feel to northern areas
02:20of Scotland and perhaps some snow showers as well over the high ground at first to the south.
02:27Sunshine at times, but it's going to be pretty limited. Quite a few showers breaking out here
02:31and there, and these could be heavy, though in any sunny spells it will feel warm in the south.
02:38But any eastern coast still starting to feel that chilly breeze now hides around 11 or 12 degrees
02:46through Sunday. However, as I said, it's going to feel colder than that in the wind. And by the time
02:52we get to Monday to start a week, it's going to we're going to be rarely seeing any double digits
02:57across the country. So remaining quite cold into the start of next week. And with that,
03:02that will bring some wintry hazards too. So risk of frost and ice and snow to some northern areas
03:08into the start of next week. So keep up to date with the forecast and you can do that
03:13by following us on social media. I'll see you later.
