00:00Hello, Thursday is going to be a much clearer and sunnier day for many areas of the country
00:06and that's because we've got much fresher air pushing in across the UK behind this cold
00:12front. Now this cold front has sunk southwards throughout Wednesday leaving many areas under
00:17the influence of high pressure through the rest of the week but by the time we get to
00:23the weekend we could start to see some weather fronts pushing into the far north west bringing
00:28some more cloud for the weekend. But before we get then there let's take a close a look
00:33at the last part of Wednesday. Now that front will clear the far south of England bringing
00:39some rain to end the day here but elsewhere behind that weather front it's going to be
00:44a clear and dry night. Quite a chilly night too so we could see a touch of frost especially
00:51in places where we haven't had a frost in recent nights. So across the south west of
00:55Scotland north west of England as well as Northern Ireland we could get as low as minus
01:00three in rural areas here. Now to the south we'll see a milder night still relatively
01:06chilly with possibly some ice on the cars to start the day however it will be a milder
01:12night than recently. Now there'll be a more noticeable breeze across the north east through
01:17Thursday as well as some more cloud across eastern areas but by and large it's going
01:22to be a fine and dry day. The best of the sunshine you'll notice is across western areas
01:29so much of Wales as well as western England Scotland and all of Northern Ireland will
01:34see some very sunny skies and we're starting to see the benefit of the slightly longer
01:39days so you might notice that on Thursday evening across these areas. And temperatures
01:44for Thursday will be much more evenly distributed across the UK. These are very close to seasonal
01:51average for this time of year and they are a little bit milder for daytime temperatures
01:57that we've had recently across the south. So it will be a milder day here for many of
02:02us. Thursday evening very little change. We'll see cloud continuing to push in off the North
02:08Sea. There could be a greater risk of the odd shower across south eastern Scotland and
02:15north eastern England and to the west and across Northern Ireland and Scotland it'll
02:20be a chilly night. We're going to see quite a harsh frost as well across parts of Cornwall
02:27and West Wales as well. But it's Northern Ireland where we'll see the coldest temperatures.
02:32We could be getting down as low as minus six in rural areas of Northern Ireland by the
02:38time we get to Friday morning. Across the east you'll notice the temperatures are a
02:42little bit higher. That's thanks to this breeze coming in off the North Sea. So most areas
02:47frost free but can't rule out needing the ice scraper on the cars on Friday morning.
02:53Now the rest of Friday after we get after that chilly start will be quite a dry and
02:58sunny day for a lot of the country. A bit more cloud coming and going across parts of
03:03Wales and England and towards the end of the day across the Western Isles and Highlands
03:08we'll start to see cloud thicken as well as some drizzly rain start to arrive. Under that
03:15cloud temperatures will start to increase though there'll be very little sunshine to
03:20have the benefits of that temperature and elsewhere a very similar feeling day to Thursday
03:25though the winds will be a little bit lighter. Into the weekend this cloud across the northwest
03:31will start to shift, sink southwards bringing cloudier skies from time to time on the weekend
03:36but away from that cloud it will still stay frosty overnight. So some further overnight
03:41frosts over the weekend. You can find more details if you're interested in the weekend
