00:00Hello again and welcome to your latest weather forecast from the Met Office.
00:04As we move into the second half of the weekend, our weather will become somewhat drier.
00:08There will be some sunshine around as well on Sunday, particularly in the east,
00:12but there are going to be some heavy showers in the north-west and these will move slowly
00:15south-eastwards through the course of the day. Winds will slowly ease, but it does stay unsettled
00:20through Sunday and into the new working week, with low pressure in charge across north-western
00:24parts of Europe, bringing some spells of rain and showers at times. This weather front will
00:29bring a band of rain south-eastwards through the day on Monday, lingering around in the south on
00:33Tuesday, but otherwise high pressure builds across the UK through the middle of the week,
00:37bringing plenty of sunshine by day, but some mist and fog overnight.
00:42Back to Saturday evening though, and we've got plenty of showers out towards the west of the UK.
00:46These are falling as a wintry mixture of hail, sleet and snow across some of the hills. Further
00:51east, it's mostly dry and there are some decent periods of clear weather overnight tonight,
00:56and we will see a fairly widespread frost tonight, particularly in the north and the east,
01:00temperatures holding just above freezing in many towns and cities, but a widespread
01:04frost in the countryside, and perhaps a few icy patches in the north-west.
01:09Through Sunday morning and we continue with the showery theme in the west,
01:12some heavier showers across northern Ireland and south-west Scotland, spreading their way
01:16south-eastwards through the day. The best of the drier and sunnier conditions will be across
01:20central and eastern parts of England, and northern Scotland as well should see a generally dry day.
01:25Temperatures tomorrow a little bit lower than they were on Saturday, and I think with lighter
01:30winds though, it shouldn't feel too bad and around average for the time of year.
01:34Through Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening, a band of rain will increasingly bring some
01:38damp weather towards the south-west of England and into south Wales. Elsewhere, a few showers,
01:43but many places staying dry with some clear periods. By Monday, we start to see that rain
01:48moving south-eastwards across the country, but staying dry in the far south-east until later,
01:54and turning increasingly dry and bright by the middle of the week,
01:56but an increasing chance of frost and fog developing. For your further details,
