00:00Hello again and welcome to the latest Met Office forecast. It was another very hot day

00:04across most of the country on Saturday and the heatwave will continue through this weekend.

00:09However, there is an increasing chance of some thunderstorms developing on Sunday

00:12and these will become more widespread by the early part of next week as low pressure takes

00:16charge of the UK's weather. So a much more unsettled picture by Tuesday with heavy downpours

00:21and thunderstorms in many places but it will turn fresher with temperatures returning closer to

00:26average. On Saturday evening though it's very hot out there. There's plenty of sunshine across the

00:31vast majority. There's some low clouds still around some eastern coasts of Scotland and

00:35North East England and that will spread its way a bit further inland overnight. Scattered

00:40showers will also develop across Cornwall and Northern Ireland. Some of these may be

00:44thundery by dawn but for everyone else it's a warm and dry night. Sunshine for many to begin

00:50the day on Sunday but scattered showers will break out across Northern Ireland and these

00:53will become more widespread across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the afternoon.

00:57Some thunder and lightning mixed in with these and one or two isolated hit and miss showers

01:02elsewhere across England and Wales particularly by the evening where some torrential downpours

01:07are possible across the high ground particularly in Northern England but some widespread thundery

01:11downpours developing across many northern areas through Sunday evening. The next few days we'll

01:17see it turn gradually fresher though after another hot day in the southeast on Monday.

01:20There'll be an increasing risk of thunderstorms for all of us and where we see those thunderstorms

01:25there's a risk of some flash flooding and bearing that in mind we have got a number

01:28of weather warnings in force through Sunday, Monday and indeed Tuesday so please stay up
