00:00Hello and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Sunday will start with some isolated mist and fog patches in the south,
00:07before a band of cloud and patchy rain sinks south-eastwards throughout the day.
00:12Behind this, skies will clear though, allowing for plenty of sunshine in the north.
00:17High pressure has been in charge of the weather over the last week,
00:20but a cold front will sink south-eastwards through Sunday,
00:23marking a slight change in the weather for a time.
00:26But high pressure is never too far away, as it builds back in again on Monday.
00:31Back to tonight's weather, and scattered showers will affect the south-west,
00:34and some of these could be heavy at times.
00:36Across the far north-west of Scotland,
00:38that cold front starts to sink south-eastwards, bringing outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
00:43Elsewhere, it will be a mostly cloudy night, but there will be some clear spells
00:47in which we could see some mist or fog developing.
00:50It is also here where we'll see the coldest temperatures tonight,
00:53and maybe a localised frost,
00:55where temperatures drop close to, if not just a touch below freezing.
01:00Into Sunday morning, and that cold front continues to sink south-eastwards,
01:04bringing outbreaks of light, patchy rain.
01:07Behind this, there's plenty of clear spells,
01:09allowing for lots of sunshine across Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland.
01:14Temperatures tomorrow will be a touch milder than they have been on Saturday,
01:17especially for those who were sat in fog all day, with a high of 9 to 12.
01:24Into Sunday evening, and that cold front will clear the south-east of England.
01:28Behind this, plenty of clear spells spreading southwards,
01:32allowing for quite a chilly night and a widespread frost.
01:37Into next week, and high pressure returns, bringing frost and fog in the south.
