00:00Hello, and welcome to our latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Today there'll be light winds, though it will be breezy along the south coast.
00:07It'll be generally cloudy, with some mist and fog patches across the eastern half of
00:12England.
00:13Away from this, though, it will be mild for many, and this is all due to the fact that
00:17we have a high pressure situated over the UK.
00:21Though as we head into Sunday and the start of the new week, a cold front will push in
00:25from the east, marking the change to slightly cooler and brighter conditions.
00:31But back to today, there is a fog warning in force for the Midlands and north-east England
00:35until midday, though even after this ends we could see some localised mist and fog patches
00:40continuing across the eastern half of England.
00:42Elsewhere, it's going to be a rather cloudy day, though there could be some sunny spells
00:46in the far south-west of England, west Wales and across Scotland.
00:51So under these cloudy skies, temperatures will be mild today, with a high of around
00:559 or 10.
00:58Into tonight, further mist and fog may form, particularly across the Midlands and eastern
01:02England.
01:04Across Scotland and northern England, though, under clearing skies we could see some localised
01:09frost patches forming tonight.
01:11And here the temperatures will drop close to freezing or just below, but elsewhere under
01:16those cloudier skies, temperatures will remain mild tonight, with a low of around 4.
01:22Into tomorrow, the gloomy and cloudy conditions continue for many, though there could be some
01:26bright spells across Scotland, northern England and Wales.
01:30Across north-eastern Scotland, some rain and drizzle will start to push in, in association
01:34with that cold front.
01:36Temperatures tomorrow will be a touch cooler than today, though still remaining mild, with
01:39a high of 9.
01:41The cloudy conditions are set to continue into the start of next week, though we could
01:45see some bright and sunny spells, though it will remain dry for many.
