00:00:47two hours of wrestling's number one program, WCW Monday Nitro.

00:00:53Along with the living legend, Larry Sabitsko, I'm Tony Giovanni.

00:00:57Welcome to our number one, what a tremendous program we have for you.

00:01:02Ladies and gentlemen, now six days away from Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:01:06And Larry, when we left the fans last week,

00:01:09we saw a very disturbed Macho Man Randy Savage.

00:01:13Well, Savage has got to have a lot on his mind.

00:01:15I mean, look at the spiel that Miss Elizabeth gave him.

00:01:19We're gonna take a look at it, Tony, but listen, Macho Man,

00:01:22do not give her your checkbook, do not give her your charge cards.

00:01:27She is your ex-wife.

00:01:29I mean, do you think she does not want to ruin your life again?

00:01:33Well, I tell you, if you go back and take a look at what happened last week and

00:01:36that very emotional statement from Miss Elizabeth, here's what happened.

00:01:40Leave me alone.

00:01:44And I know that I feel the same way about you today as I did the day I said I'd do.

00:01:58Randy, look, Randy, just stop, stop.

00:02:06The Macho Man left the arena last week, did not even compete in his matchup.

00:02:10And I tell you, Larry, she sounded very sincere.

00:02:13I believe that this lady is sincere, but I wonder about the timing.

00:02:17The Macho Man in six days at Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc,

00:02:20the most important match not only in the career of this great athlete, but

00:02:24the most important match in WCW history.

00:02:26She looked sincere, but timing is everything.

00:02:28Timing is everything in the execution of moves and the science of wrestling.

00:02:33Time, Tony, is a strong force.

00:02:35Time can level mountains, but WCW is running out of time.

00:02:40We need a leader.

00:02:41We go to the ring, the opening bout this week on Nitro.

00:03:23It will be his first appearance on Nitro since back on the 16th of September,

00:03:28His opponent, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Chris Jericho.

00:03:36This young man, Mr. Intensity, Mr. Excitement.

00:03:39The fans have taken to this man in a short period of time, Larry.

00:03:43Well, this guy, I mean, he's a young man.

00:03:46Well, this guy, I mean, he's got a lot on the ball.

00:03:48Good athletic ability.

00:03:49He's got charisma, which, you know, separates the men from the boys.

00:03:53He can back up his actions.

00:03:54He's in there against an experienced man, Bobby Eaton.

00:03:58Again, another man with something to prove after being thrown out of the blue bloods.

00:04:09There is Six and there is the bogus NWO Sting.

00:04:14They have come out on the banner of the NWO and he has,

00:04:17it looks like a camcorder, one of those palm camcorders with him.

00:04:22Wait a minute, he needs written permission to film this.

00:04:25Well, they've been able to do what they want to do over the past couple of months.

00:04:29What's going to stop him from videotaping what's going on?

00:04:33He's going to do a little scouting, I guess, for his upcoming match

00:04:37this coming Sunday at Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:05:21Nick Patrick making sure that all participants are ready and here we go.

00:05:26The man is still in pain, but smart idea.

00:05:28At least the NWO is doing their homework.

00:05:30They're out scouting their opponents.

00:05:33They know how much is at stake here.

00:05:35Savage, is he scouting?

00:05:42Is he ready to retain the Holy Grail?

00:05:44Or is he running out like a crybaby, hopping into limos and leaving like a wimp?

00:05:51Well, I think we're all concerned about the mental state of the macho man Randy Savage.

00:05:55We've been concerned for quite a while, but it's really turned over

00:05:58not only to a man who has always been nuts, but a man who is very,

00:06:02very disturbed about what's going on in his personal life as well as-

00:06:06Well, he should discover what the real meaning of joy is.

00:06:10That's your ex-wife driving off a cliff, not coming back for a bigger smack.

00:06:17There is no doubt, as we saw, there's a great shoulder block by Chris Jericho.

00:06:22There's no doubt that we saw a week ago a very sincere

00:06:25Miss Elizabeth pouring her heart out to the macho man Randy Savage.

00:06:30Meanwhile, in the ring here, Chris Jericho, as six of the NWO watches on.

00:06:35Yes, you can get your scouting work done without coming out in the arena

00:06:39and making a disturbance.

00:06:41They like to make a scene.

00:06:42They do not like to go unnoticed.

00:06:45Well, it's clever chess moves on the part of the NWO.

00:06:49Here they are inciting some of the robotized sheep we have here in the arena,

00:06:54wearing the NWO shirts, trying to get the concentration away from guys like Jericho,

00:07:00from the Harlem Heat, from their opponents, from Savage.

00:07:04And they're doing a good job of it.

00:07:17It was like Eaton hurt himself on that maneuver.

00:07:36Well, how can you trust Sting?

00:07:38Lex Luger, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson.

00:07:41Ask them if they trust Sting after what he pulled.

00:07:44He walked out and abandoned them.

00:07:46How can you trust him as a leader?

00:07:48Well, let me tell you, if you can't trust anyone,

00:07:50and that's been the paranoia of WCW since this onslaught of the NWO,

00:07:56if you cannot trust anybody within WCW, you're not going to have a leader.

00:08:02And WCW was always built on tradition.

00:08:05A man's sport.

00:08:06Every man for himself.

00:08:07Go back to 1905, where the great men ruled WCW.

00:08:12And now this tradition being shaken at its foundations because of paranoia.

00:08:16We've got to forget about it and trust someone.

00:08:19We've got to.

00:08:20Unfortunately, it's the age of mankind.

00:08:23Look at the world.

00:08:24No country in the world can find a good leader.

00:08:26And we're having the same trouble.

00:08:30Nick Patrick, who contends that he is the leader in the ring,

00:08:33as far as being the senior official for WCW.

00:08:36But even there's been a lot of accusations flying his way.

00:08:41And look at Nick Patrick running.

00:08:44He's called this match straight up and down.

00:08:47And there is Bobby Eaton grabbing the head of Jericho,

00:08:50using the top rope like a guillotine.

00:08:52Yeah, I mean, Patrick's going by the book right there.

00:08:55Jericho, though, he came in high.

00:08:57And that's a mistake.

00:08:58Let the man come through the rope.

00:09:00Attack him when he's coming through the ropes and doesn't have balance.

00:09:03Eaton, he just got him with an old trick of the trade.

00:09:12Everybody, all eyes will be on the strip in Las Vegas

00:09:16at the gorgeous MGM Grand Hotel Casino.

00:09:22Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:09:24Each and every year, Halloween time means Halloween Havoc for WCW.

00:09:28This year, Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc taking on more importance than ever before.

00:09:33Because, as you've always called it, Larry,

00:09:35the holy grail of our sport up as never before.

00:09:38The battle between the MWO and WCW.

00:09:41That's the foundation.

00:09:43Macho Man climbs that stairway to heaven,

00:09:46regains the holy grail.

00:09:49That crumbles the foundation of the New World Order,

00:09:52no matter how much money DiBiase has.

00:09:55But if Savage doesn't do it, the MWO gets stronger.

00:10:00Exactly, right hand.

00:10:01And for WCW, the battle-

00:10:02Oh, both men go down.

00:10:04The battle starts from the beginning with the youngster, Chris Jericho,

00:10:07who's giving the veteran, Bob Eaton, all he wants here.

00:10:10Going up against the youngster, I guess, for the MWO, you call him, six.

00:10:16Well, he better scout Jericho.

00:10:18He's in trouble right now.

00:10:19He'd be thankful that he's in the physical condition he's in.

00:10:22He's got the endurance and the power.

00:10:24Otherwise, Eaton might have already had him beaten.

00:10:28Oh my goodness, shoulder and head now to the ring post and a back elbow missed.

00:10:34And that could be a dislocated elbow if he doesn't watch himself here.

00:10:37Boy, and that's a mistake he should have made.

00:15:49High-risk maneuvers like we have never seen before.

00:16:01Revolutionizing the sport, maybe a little bit in terms of high-risk and high-flying,

00:16:10And mark my words, Malenko is going to regain the Cruiserweight title.

00:16:27Dee Malenko, the man of a thousand holes, and the man who carries in that right hand

00:16:32that mask he stole about four weeks ago from Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:16:37And of course, he realizes what the mask means,

00:16:40not only to Mysterio, but to the Mexican wrestling fans as well.

00:16:44Well, of course, to Americans and civilization, it's silly,

00:16:48but to the Mexican people, it's a tradition almost.

00:16:52Must have something to do with the spirits of wrestling victory.

00:16:58Anybody should put one on Savage and he won't see Elizabeth anymore.

00:17:02All right, Jimmy, would you please stop?

00:17:05Jimmy Graffiti, Gene Malenko, one-on-one.

00:17:07Malenko taking this match with this man, Jimmy Graffiti, in the face of six days away.

00:17:13And Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc, realizing that Graffiti is a fine competitor,

00:17:19making his appearance in WCW, his first appearance,

00:17:22and a man who will not back down at all.

00:17:24But look at this, leg trip, there he goes.

00:17:26Might be a good competitor, but that outfit, the blue light special.

00:17:32All right, it just goes with the name, I guess.

00:17:35Graffiti has a tight handlock and a takeover.

00:17:38There's the name that goes with Malenko, a thousand holes,

00:17:40and I don't know what Dean is doing, maybe feeling him out,

00:17:43but take this guy down on the net.

00:17:45That's where Malenko's at home, and that's what he's gonna have to do with Mysterio Jr.

00:17:49I'd start working on it now, just take him on the mat.

00:17:51That's right, keep him grounded.

00:17:53Work on the legs, maybe, because Rey Mysterio Jr.,

00:17:56if you can use the top rope, use the rope to springboard maneuvers,

00:18:11Many people do not appreciate Dean Malenko, but he is all business.
