00:03:42First of all, on December 29th, they want me to fight Hogan in Nashville, Tennessee.

00:04:08You know, when they say being ashamed of things, and I'd like you to hear this, when they say

00:04:30I had my, I think it was my seven-year-old kid, I'm not sure which one, anyway, he had

00:04:36saw the NWO written on my leg, and he said to me, he says, Daddy, you know, Hulk Hogan's

00:04:44younger than you, and you only got one leg.

00:04:47Maybe you shouldn't go out and fight him, you know?

00:04:54I guess I'm supposed to be ashamed, because as Hogan put it, I'm a gimp.

00:05:01Nothing seemed to stop Bo Jackson.

00:05:09One time in my career, the most shameful thing that I ever done, and I'll never do it again,

00:05:16and you'll understand why in a second, is I boxed Mr. T in a boxing match at a Nassau

00:05:23Coliseum, and they wanted me to take a dive for him.

00:05:28And I said, I don't take dives, and I don't do windows.

00:05:35So they made me, and who they are is somebody you would never guess, none of the obvious.

00:05:41They made me put my hands in the boxing gloves, and they made me curl up my fist, and then

00:05:47they made the rest of the boxing glove come around, so I wouldn't hurt the poor little

00:05:51actor.

00:05:56So now I've vented it, I owe you all $100 for the couch, it's out, it's the most shameful

00:06:01thing I've ever done, and I'll be damned if I'm taking a dive for anybody, at any time,

00:06:08at anywhere.

00:06:09Oh, there's a guy there, there's a guy there, just a second, can you get a shot of that

00:06:19gentleman who said, this is NWO country?

00:06:26I have nothing, I have nothing against the NWO.

00:06:35I am not with the WCW, I am not with the NWO, I'm Roddy Piper.

00:06:42I will tell you this though, just point of interest, I saw a promo the NWO did, and they

00:06:53had six of them in a room, right?

00:06:56They're all dressed in leathers, they're drinking Dom Perignon, not one woman.

00:07:07So you keep putting that sign up, brother, because we know exactly where you're coming

00:07:12from.

00:07:13But I'll tell you this, I am sick and tired of hearing about Hogan, who let's face it,

00:07:26Hogan is Hulk Hogan, he has been in the lead for years, he is a man to contend with, he

00:07:34truly is a superstar.

00:07:39But I'm not taking this fight lightly, so what I figure, I know he's in the building,

00:07:47let's just have it now.

00:07:49Oh my.

00:07:51He's calling him out.

00:07:56The Panthers, they're underdogs, from what I understand, I'm coming in the Evander Holy

00:08:04Field of this fight.

00:08:06Bring him on out, because what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger, and I'm feeling awful

00:08:21Well, obviously what the NWO did to Piper before, like he said, only makes him stronger,

00:08:41Now, obviously, Hogan isn't ready, Hogan has been afraid of this man for years, and once

00:08:47again, Piper comes out by himself, Tony.

00:09:10Ladies and gentlemen, as we are off and running with action, Rowdy Roddy Piper has called

00:09:16out Hulk Hogan.

00:09:17He wants him to come out here tonight.

00:09:22I've never in all my career, Larry, of big matches, and we've had big matches, never

00:09:28had so much riding on one match, so much electricity.

00:09:34Wherever we go, the fans are talking about one thing, Piper Hogan.

00:09:39We know there are big matches throughout history of wrestling, but there's only so many historical

00:09:45matches that happen every 20, 30 years, and this is going to be the biggest match of this

00:09:53century, no doubt about it.

00:09:55Just facts and circumstances, it took 20 years to build a match of this caliber.

00:10:03Our opening bout here tonight on this two-hour edition of Nitro is Mr. Wall Street going

00:10:08up against Mike Enos.

00:10:11Two men who can wrestle, two great veterans, great win-loss record for both men, and this

00:10:16is a very important match for them.

00:10:18The more I see Piper, the more he becomes my new hero, and he's the only man I met that

00:10:23got more kids than you.

00:10:25You're probably right about that.

00:10:27In this telecast tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we will have the Cruiserweight Champion, Dean

00:10:32Malenko, defend his title.

00:10:34We will have a semifinal match in the WCW US Heavyweight title tournament.

00:10:41We'll also be talking to the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, as well, and we do understand, ladies

00:10:47and gentlemen, members of the Carolina Panthers are here tonight, fresh off, like we said

00:10:52before, the biggest win in that franchise's history, and we'll hear, we understand, from

00:10:59Kevin Green a little bit later on in this telecast.

00:11:02It is great to have you with us.

00:11:04We are into the holiday season, and that means into the Starrcade season.

00:11:08Hey, hey, here comes DiBiase, obviously not happy with the words out of the mouth of Piper.

00:11:21The last time an NWO member came out when I had the microphone was last week, and they

00:12:52Sullivan and confronted him with a video.

00:12:53Take a look at what happened to the video and his reaction to what happened, if you

00:15:05And you know, we've transcended now a bitter feud between two men.

00:15:19Benoit's over there, apparently woman with him.

00:15:21And this is, I don't know what to think of what we just saw.

00:15:26I don't know either, except whenever Kevin Sullivan has nothing to say, that's when you have to worry about the man.

00:15:32Because he is lost in the depths of his devious thinking.

00:15:37And no matter how horrible you thought he was in the past, wait until you see what he can conceive of when he's in a bad mood.

00:15:48And he's always had a word or a reaction for something as the Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan.

00:15:54And I must say, that was the very first time that he ever in his career was speechless.

00:16:01You're not getting any of this.

00:16:03It's scary holding a microphone for him, I can tell you that right now.

00:16:06All right, speaking of Kevin Sullivan, a member of the Dungeoneer, Hugh Morris.

00:16:11One-on-one against the Renegade in this matchup here on WCW Monday Night Raw.

00:16:16His tag team partner Joe Gomez out with him.

00:16:19It should be a great matchup.

00:16:22Hugh Morris, probably the most agile big man we have seen in many, many years here in this sport.

00:16:28And of course, the Renegade, high intensity, high impact wrestling, Larry.

00:16:32Well, the Renegade, Mr. Perpetual Motion, he doesn't stop.

00:16:35And that would be a very good theory to live with against Hugh Morris, a big man with a great amount of movement.

00:16:43I don't see any other members of the Dungeon of Doom here, and that's what concerns me.

00:16:47I mean, we got Joe Gomez with the Renegade, but Hugh Morris all alone out here.

00:16:53Now, that could be good.

00:16:54That could be a deception.

00:16:56Well, you never know with the Dungeon of Doom what they're thinking of next.

00:17:00Although the closest we've ever come to reading Kevin's mind was this past Saturday, as you saw.

00:17:05We don't know exactly what he was thinking, but we knew he was upset.

00:17:11He was probably shaking for the first time ever in his career.

00:17:13Hugh Morris, big, powerful guy holding on to that side headlock.

00:17:17I want to remind you, ladies and gentlemen, in this telecast, we will have a semifinal match in the Cruiserweight division,

00:17:25or in the U.S. heavyweight tournament, that is, as we will have Diamond Dallas Page go one-on-one against Jeff Jarrett.

00:17:32And then in the Cruiserweight division also, the champ, Dean Malenko against Jimmy Graffiti.

00:17:38How about that move?

00:17:39Boy, for a 300-pound man, he nailed him and quickly ran over to Joe Gomez.

00:17:54And the Renegade almost came out with a quick win here.

00:17:59Yeah, I mean, talk about a big guy.

00:18:00You don't realize how explosive and how fast he is until it's too late.

00:18:06Ladies and gentlemen, Starrcade is rapidly approaching.

00:18:09This, of course, the 9th day of December, 20 days away, Larry, from Starrcade.

00:18:14And if you go back throughout the years, the biggest matches in this sport have always been at one event, and that was Starrcade.

00:18:21It began in 1983. Roddy Piper was there in the very first Starrcade.

00:18:26And he is going to have a history-making match, like you talked about earlier, in the main event coming up in the 1996 version.

00:18:33You know, when I talk about history, Piper was in the very first Starrcade.

00:18:37What if Piper doesn't beat Hogan and the New World Order lives on?

00:18:42There may never be another Starrcade.

00:18:45Cover one, two. Well, that's a good point.

00:18:47They may want to take it over and change the name of it.

00:18:50I mean, WCW right now, and Piper, like you said earlier, not a part of world championship wrestling.

00:18:57But WCW, certainly, its cornerstone, its marquee, has always been Starrcade.

00:19:03So this is a very important night for world championship wrestling.

00:19:06Very important, indeed.

00:19:07And, of course, we heard last week Arn Anderson make the statements where the horsemen are willing to stand behind Piper.

00:19:14Whether he's with WCW or not, the man's got the charisma to pull men together.

00:19:20That was a great counter move by Hugh Morris.

00:19:22Came out of a potential bulldog.

00:19:24But Gomez looked like he went too high, and that let Hugh Morris just keep his momentum going.

00:19:40Hugh Morris, with the moonsault, off of the turnbuckles, gets a win, and he's not finished yet.

00:27:16and the more you watch Malenko,

00:27:18nice move there, nice little reversal,

00:27:20but reversing a move on Malenko

00:27:22and capitalizing on it is two different things.

00:27:24Look at Malenko getting back to the base,

00:27:26trying to squirm out of it,

00:27:28but Malenko, to me,

00:27:30seems comfortable with a championship belt.

00:27:33That's what makes a champion.

00:27:35Some guys wind up with a championship belt.

00:27:37It's not them.

00:27:38They can't hold on to it.

00:27:39He lives to be a champion.

00:27:40And there's no question,

00:27:41when he lost this summer

00:27:42the cruiserweight championship

00:27:44to Rey Mysterio Jr.,

00:27:45he was so focused.

00:27:46He did not get down on himself.

00:27:48He did not sulk.

00:27:49He did not go off and corner and cry somewhere.

00:27:51He just made it his mission

00:27:53to get the title back,

00:27:54and he succeeded.

00:27:56Same way with Roddy Roddy Piper.

00:27:58His mission has been to get in the ring

00:28:00with Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

00:28:01It has taken him a long time,

00:28:03but it is finally gonna come to pass
