00:01:32He will announce the newest member of the Four Horsemen in this two hour program.

00:01:36Plus, Mike Tene, for the first time,

00:01:38Kurt Hennig will wrestle here tonight on this program.

00:01:41Well, we saw Kurt Hennig debut at Bash at the Beach,

00:01:44and we also saw the total package.

00:01:46Lex Luger put Hogan, Rodman, and Savage up in the rack.

00:01:50Maybe tonight we'll find out if Hollywood Hogan will defend the world's title against Luger.

00:01:59Larry, I wanted to talk to you about that challenge made by Lex Luger last week on this program

00:02:05that was really answered by the entire New World Order,

00:02:08but we may get an answer right here.

00:02:10But it could be it.

00:02:11Here comes Bischoff, and Hollywood Hulk Hogan's right behind him.

00:02:16We begin this Tuesday edition of Nitro live with the world heavyweight champion,

00:02:26I don't think there's anyone worldwide that would not agree with the state.

00:02:34Lex Luger wins, of course, the big match months ago at Springsteen,

00:02:39deserves the world title shot, should get it,

00:02:42and he wants it coming up at Road Wild.

00:02:45Well, no question about it.

00:02:46Of course, he deserves it.

00:02:48Problem is, does Hollywood Hulk Hogan have the guts to sign on the dotted line?

00:03:04those letters in black spray painted on that belt, NWO.

00:03:11That graffiti was done last year in Sturgis at Road Wild.

00:03:16So it's almost been a year now since they dominated the world title scene.

00:03:22And wouldn't it be great for Lex Luger to get an opportunity at that world championship

00:03:27and bring the most important belt in our sport today

00:03:30back to world championship wrestling.

00:03:40You cannot deny he still demands command, if you will, attention

00:08:51and bring the belt back to WCW where it rightfully belongs.

00:09:58they owe their jobs with world championship wrestling

00:10:01to Conan, bringing them to the country,

00:10:03bringing them to this organization,

00:10:05and they really are befuddled

00:10:07with his association with the New World Order.

00:10:09And the man first in line at that mic

00:10:11is Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:10:13Certainly the case, and we know that Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:28:48has it over McMichael because, well, the man grew up in this sport.

00:28:52But raw power, it goes to Mongo.

00:28:58Also, the tutelage of guys like Anderson and

00:29:01Flair is involved in with the Horsemen.

00:29:03Mongo catches on quick, but he's gotta stay off the mat with Malinko.

00:29:12You know, we heard earlier that Ric Flair was going to announce

00:29:15the newest member of the Horsemen.

00:29:17WCW sources, rumors on the Internet had all pegged

00:29:21De Malinko as being in the running for that fourth slot with the Horsemen group.

00:29:26Well, that was really bizarre what happened earlier on.

00:29:28Flair was ready, apparently, to make an announcement.

00:29:31And apparently, he's gonna hold off right now because his focus is with the challenge

00:29:35that was made to Hall and Nash with he and Benoit a little bit later on for tonight.

00:29:41A challenge that is still unanswered at this moment.

00:29:46Malinko made a big mistake here, trying to power Mongo over.

00:29:50He's got to use the leverage.

00:32:41concentration, and that's where it backfired on the big man.

00:32:50until his wife and Jeff Jarrett came out.

00:32:52That took the focus off completely, and his back was wide open here on the mat.

00:36:12The ultimate sibling rivalries with the Guerrero brothers going head to head,

00:36:16one on one.

00:36:18We've seen in recent weeks, Eddie Guerrero had been trying to teach a lesson

00:36:23to his young nephew, Chavo Guerrero Jr.

00:36:27Last week, a sickening display by Eddie Guerrero and

00:36:29Hector Guerrero trying to represent his brothers, Bondo and Chavo Sr., of course.

00:36:35Gets an opportunity against Eddie this week.

00:36:38And Larry, you know as well as anyone,

00:36:40there's no battle more bitter than one between members of the same family.

00:36:44And here we have it right here.

00:36:45Yeah, and the Guerrero boys, I mean, that's always that hot blood in them.

00:36:51But I've never seen it carried to this extent, nice move by Hector.

00:36:54It's gonna be an interesting matchup, Hector and Eddie almost are the two

00:36:58brothers that they look so much alike, separated, of course, by a good number

00:37:02of years, to see if Hector can keep up with the stamina of Eddie Guerrero.

00:37:10And Mike, let me ask you this, and you've covered wrestling, of course,

00:37:13in Mexico and down in Texas.

00:37:18I believe this is the first head to head meeting between the two.

00:48:26the NWO come out to face Luger.

00:48:29It is scheduled to be Scott Flash Norton, but now Bagwell is out, Vincent is out, and

00:48:34this does not bode well for Lex Luger, now only weeks away, Mike, from Road Wild and

00:48:39Sturgis.

00:48:40Well, we've seen this from the NWO in the past.

00:48:43They love to run things their way.

00:48:45They love to put things off until they want to deal with it.

00:48:48Remember the Steiner brothers, and they finally get their tag title shot in Sturgis as well,

00:48:52and now they've set out Scott Norton, obviously as an NWO emissary, to face the total package.

00:48:59No doubt about it.

00:49:00And look at the size of Norton.

00:49:01Look at the way his body structure is.

00:49:03I don't know if Luger could get him up in the rack.

00:49:05Well, I think Luger can get anyone in the rack now, Brain.

00:49:08I mean, he's proved it so many times.

00:49:10But look at the size, the way he's built, Norton.

00:49:11He's built like a Hudson, like a Buick.

00:49:16You're not going to lift him real easy.

00:49:17He's one of the toughest men, you're right, to get up off his feet.

01:04:25Well, when you used to have a manager today, they do all the work for people.

01:04:29They handle reservations, the money, they handle contracts and everything.

01:04:32When you got to start doing that for yourself,

01:04:34make the trips, get in the ring and fight these big men here at WCW,

01:04:38it's a different ballgame.

01:04:39Well, Brain, you were a manager and you actually did all that work for your wrestlers?

01:04:42Well, no, I hired a staff.

01:04:43Okay, there you go.

01:04:45That's what we thought.

01:04:46But Bagwell and one half of Harlem Heat Booker T in this next matchup still to come, fans.

01:04:52Do not forget, Kurt Hennig makes his singles debut on Nitro.

01:04:56It is coming up a little bit later on.

01:05:08It's a trio that gets a lot of dirty deeds done for the NWO.

01:05:14Bagwell loves to pose and to make fun and run down his opponents, doesn't he, Iron Mike?

01:05:19Certainly does, Tony.

01:05:20And also in this hour, we will hear from Rey Mysterio Jr.

01:05:25It's been a couple of weeks since he suffered the broken leg at the hands of Konnan.

01:05:30In his opinion on Konnan, and I know from talking to the other Mexican wrestlers,

01:05:34they certainly don't understand what's behind Konnan's association with the NWO.

01:05:39Here's an example, Bray, why you can't take a member of the Harlem Heat Booker T lightly.

01:05:45Now, it doesn't matter if they're in tag team action or single action.

01:05:47Look at this.

01:05:48There he is.

01:05:52You can't take them lightly at all.

01:05:54You can't take anybody here lightly.

01:05:56Here in singles competition, Booker T now controlling.

01:05:59Oh my, oh my, didn't not want to do that.

01:06:06He's an angry man anyway at times, and that just made him madder.

01:06:12Wow, a series of hip tosses, and Bagwell finally ends up up and over the top rope.

01:06:18I think the referee, Nick Patrick, is just looking at his momentum that sent him over

01:06:20the top.

01:06:21And that's a good call, don't you think, Bray?

01:06:22I do too, and you know I'm over the top.

01:06:24Here's Booker T, without a partner, without a manager in the corner, he's not used to

01:06:32single competition.

01:06:33But look how he's doing.

01:06:36Not doing too good now, but he was doing good.

01:06:37Yes, he was, and he goes back to the old adage, and you know this as well as I do, being a

01:06:41manager in the past, you've got to be a great singles wrestler before you can even think

01:06:45about tag team wrestling.

01:06:47No doubt about it.

01:06:50Catching it in the stomach.

01:06:52Got the knees up, Bagwell, back to his feet, and Booker T lays one in, sending Bagwell

01:06:58to the far side of that elbow, and now all the way to the outside goes Bagwell.

01:07:03So far, Vincent and Norton have not been a factor in this matchup, but that is, as we

01:07:08say, so far.

01:07:10Always subject to change when the end of the round, and they have the strength in numbers

01:07:15in this matchup with both Norton and Vincent at ringside.

01:07:20You know, that's a huge distraction, knowing Vincent will do anything, and knowing the

01:07:25size and the power of Flash Norton, and knowing you've got a guy in there like Buck Bagwell,

01:07:30who's in tremendous shape, and you're all by yourself, Booker T's at a heck of a disadvantage.

01:07:36To the top turnbuckle, to the neutral side now.

01:07:39I say it's a neutral side, but if you look below, you'll see two members of the New World

01:07:43Order, and now Nick Patrick and Bagwell go face to face.

01:07:47Nick Patrick, who, of course, has proven himself over and over again.

01:07:55Walked right into that foot that time, and now sends him spinning 360 with a running

01:13:58that the wrestlers from Mexico have no idea what's behind Conan and his association with the NWO.

01:14:05They're totally baffled.

01:14:06They don't know what to think of it.

01:14:07But I saw a sign of unity there.

01:14:09They came out to back their countrymen, their fellow Lucha Libre professional wrestlers.

01:14:15And you notice K-Dog kind of backed up a little bit, didn't he?

01:19:06Looking back at the conclusion of the Kurt Hennig match and Diamond Dallas Page,

01:19:11his interference.

01:19:12I think it's back to the drawing board for Kurt Hennig.

01:19:15When he tried to apply the Fisherman Suplex,

01:19:18he left himself wide open for the Diamond Cutter.

01:19:21His ability to counter the Diamond Cutter

01:19:23is going to be the difference in victory or defeat upcoming in Sturgis at Road Wild.

01:19:27I haven't seen anybody really counter the Diamond Cutter.

01:19:30I think Hennig has heard an awful lot about Diamond Dallas for the Diamond Cutter.

01:19:35I don't think he realized exactly how quick and how fast and devastating

01:19:40DDP can slap that Diamond Cutter on and put you out.

01:19:43Well, I think it's pretty obvious, guys.

01:19:44The key here is not to worry about the Diamond Cutter.

01:19:48If it happens, you know there's nothing you can do.

01:19:50But if you can stay on the offensive and you can wear Diamond Dallas Page down,

01:19:55then he won't be able to put it on, I would think.

01:19:57I mean, to me, that's simple strategy.

01:20:18When it's all said and done, he's going to be considered one of the best ever.
