00:00:54was the most important event in WCW history.

00:00:56There is no doubt about it.

00:00:58But tonight, here on Nitro, much the same.

00:01:01This could become, within the next two hours,

00:01:04the most revealing, the most shocking,

00:01:06and the most important event in WCW

00:01:08we've been looking around.

00:01:09Because we know that later on here tonight,

00:01:12the outsiders will be here.

00:01:14Plus, Hulk Hogan will be here tonight,

00:01:19removed from the disparaging remarks

00:01:21he made recently at Badger the Beach towards WCW, Larry.

00:01:25You know, I can't help but keep looking over my shoulder.

00:01:28We know what the disgusting event that took place.

00:01:31Question is, who's next, Tony?

00:01:34Who is Hulk Hogan and the outsiders

00:01:36going to recruit into their new world order?

00:01:43We all had wondered, if you'll recall,

00:01:45back at Badger the Beach, who the third man was.

00:03:30And Hulk Hogan fans, later on in this two-hour telecast,

00:03:35And I can guarantee you, Larry,

00:03:37he has never come to Disney MGM here at this theme park

00:03:41and will have such a reception as he will have tonight.

00:03:44The last time he was here was back in 1994.

00:03:47There was, by golly, a ticker-tape parade for that man.

00:04:15to join these two outsiders was Hulk Hogan.

00:04:17One thing Hulk Hogan does have, he's got influence,

00:04:20he's got a ton of money.

00:04:21He can buy an army.

00:04:24Well, he does have a lot of influence,

00:04:26or at least he had a lot of influence

00:04:28and certainly has a lot of money.

00:04:30And I also want to bring up this point.

00:04:32The outsiders in Hulk Hogan,

00:04:34as we open up with some great tag team action here this week,

00:04:37the masters of the cheap shot.

00:04:39You saw the evidence there from back here.

00:04:41The master of the cheap shot,

00:04:42the master of the cheap shot,

00:04:44the masters of the cheap shot.

00:04:46You saw the evidence there from back to the beach.

00:04:48You've seen what's happened to Eric Bischoff,

00:04:50what has happened really since Memorial Day.

00:04:52But oddly enough, ironic as it may seem,

00:04:55these are cheap shot artists that pick their shots

00:04:58because tonight Sting is not here.

00:05:01Ric Flair is not here.

00:05:03The Macho Man Randy Savage is not here.

00:05:05And believe it or not,

00:05:06I never thought I would want to see the giant.

00:05:09I would want to stand behind the giant,

00:05:11but the giant is not here.

00:05:13The only man who is here that has kind of felt

00:05:16the impact of this is Lex Luger.

00:05:18Well, Lex Luger is standing on his own.

00:05:20But again, keep that in mind.

00:05:22There is a method to Hulk Hogan's madness.

00:05:26The outsiders, the beginning of the New World Order.

00:05:28It is a precision thing, Tony.

00:05:31That's why you better keep looking over your shoulder.

00:05:48Fire and Ice, against the Steiner Brothers.

00:05:50There's a little friction between

00:05:53the members of Fire and Ice.

00:05:54Ice trained at Scott and Norton,

00:05:55but they have seemed to mend these things now.

00:05:57Snetmare takeover.

00:05:58There's no denying the power of this team.

00:06:00There's no denying the power of the athletes

00:06:02in World Championship Wrestling.

00:06:03Well, you know, there was a little dissension,

00:06:05but not too much.

00:06:06I think what it was,

00:06:06Norton, the experienced one,

00:06:07was just trying to make sure

00:06:09the ice train kept working out,

00:06:11kept going down to the power plant,

00:06:12you know, just getting himself the most knowledge

00:06:16that he can.

00:06:17You know, Norton wants a partner on his own level,

00:06:19and I think ice train can do that.

00:06:21We're just gonna take a little time.

00:06:23We have, as we said, a tremendous two hours,

00:06:25including Lex Luger against Big Bubba

00:06:27in our second hour,

00:06:28Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero,

00:06:29and there's a man here who has something he has to say.

00:07:05bigger than themselves,

00:07:06and again, tenacious individual,

00:07:08powerful man, got Scotty Steiner in trouble,

00:07:11and he's a long way from his brother.

00:07:14You know, in listening back to that entire interview

00:07:18by Hulk Hogan at the close of WCW's Bash at the Beach

00:07:22back on the 7th of July,

00:07:26Hulk Hogan talked about billionaire Ted Promise

00:07:29in movies, millions of dollars.

00:07:33Well, fans on TBS coming up tomorrow night

00:07:36is the network broadcast premiere

00:07:38of one of his movies, Mr. and Annie.

00:07:39Well, take it off.

00:07:41So he needs to look at what WCW

00:07:43and what Turner Broadcasting has done for him.

00:07:45Let's talk about putting Thunder in Paradise on

00:07:48right before Nitro.

00:07:49I wish it aired.

00:07:52There's been a lot.

00:07:53He needs to really check the record book,

00:07:55and I don't want to get into a running argument,

00:07:56but it is really disgusting.

00:08:31back on the 7th of July, a mere eight days ago.

00:09:05The Steiner brothers earned the shot at Hog Wild.

00:09:07Wait a minute, Teddy Long is coming out here,

00:09:09earned the World Tag Team title shot at Hog Wild

00:09:11against Harlem Heat by winning last week here on Nitro Live.

00:09:16Of course, Hog Wild coming up

00:09:18from the Black Hills of South Dakota

00:09:19on Saturday, August 10th, and only on PWU

00:09:22as Ice Train with a power slam.

00:09:25And Teddy Long has made his way out here.

00:09:27He is standing in the entranceway

00:09:29and I have no idea what's going on here.

00:09:31Well, what's he doing here?

00:09:32He's the manager of the Pit Bull Craig Pittman.

00:09:36He is out searching or scouting something here.

00:09:38Well, he's always scouting.

00:09:40That's how managers make their money

00:09:41by leeching off your professional earnings.

00:10:42the athletes of other countries keep defecting.

00:10:45It's all for money and power.

00:10:47Well, that's a great point.

00:10:49Here's a double team.

00:10:50Boy, I tell you, you're talking about power.

00:10:53A different type of power,

00:10:54but it was on display right there

00:10:56from Scott Flax Norton, a double axel.

00:10:58You know, Teddy Long may be wanting to either

00:11:01be the guiding factor here to fire an ice

00:11:03or maybe even the Snyder Brothers.

00:11:04You see Teddy in the background there.

00:11:06And boy, I tell you this, Scott Norton is just raw power.

00:11:09Well, tenacious guy, and I think that's the attitude

00:11:11he's trying to translate to ice strength,

00:11:13to get more nasty, to get more vicious,

00:11:16to get more tenacious,

00:11:17because the competition level here is so tough.

00:11:20It's so aggressive.

00:11:21It's the best in the world.

00:11:23And if you're not aggressive,

00:11:25you're not gonna get the gold.

00:11:27Scott Norton has a mean streak too.

00:11:29Look at him, he says something to the fan.

00:11:29Oh, and he wasted a lot of time.

00:11:32Maybe a little bit of showboating that time

00:11:34by the man they call Flash, Scott Norton.

00:11:36And Scott Steiner makes the tag.

00:15:38There seems to be a little conflict here

00:15:41between Fire and Ice, Scott Norton.

00:15:43When I put this tag team together,

00:15:45we were gonna get titles and championship shots.

00:15:49But now, we got the greatest tag teams in the world beat,

00:15:52and you do something to screw it up.

00:15:54And number one, I do things within the rules, okay?

00:15:58There's a way we can do things, okay?

00:16:00There can be some goodness in the ground.

00:16:02Hey, I'm not out here to get in your business,

00:16:04and I'm not out here to get in your business,

00:16:06but I've got one thing to say.

00:16:07I think you two make a great tag team,

00:16:09and I just don't wanna see you two break up, that's all.

00:16:15It started with us, and it's gonna end with us.

00:16:50He's not managing Fire and Ice.

00:16:52He's got no business to be involved with them.

00:17:00He's got the experience and the knowledge,

00:17:02like I said earlier.

00:17:03Obviously, he's trying to get Ice Train more aggressive,

00:17:07more into the professional wisdom of the whole situation,

00:17:12to be a winner.

00:17:13And Ice Train, like a usual young guy,

00:17:15doesn't listen to advice.

00:17:17He's gonna learn the hard way.

00:17:19Dean Malenko is-

00:17:21Wait a minute.

00:17:22What do we have here?

00:17:23Jimmy Hart's coming up.

00:17:24Let's listen in.

00:17:28Well, we tried to listen in to what Jimmy Hart had to say.

00:17:31Only thing I can tell you is that, Vince,

00:17:33you probably know it when we talked about it.

00:17:35Coming up at WCW Hog Wild,

00:17:38Dean Malenko will square off against

00:17:39one of the members of the Horseman's Response.

00:17:42Maybe there's a little bit of

00:17:44alliance here with Malenko in the Dungeon of Doom.

00:17:47You know, the Dungeon of Doom and the Horseman

00:17:49certainly having their problems.

00:17:51Well, Dungeon of Doom and the four Horsemen

00:17:53got each other's throats, no question about it.

00:17:56But I think Jimmy Hart, being the smart man that he is,

00:18:00like he said earlier, they're looking for men.

00:18:03They're recruiting.

00:18:04I think Jimmy Hart is doing a smart thing

00:18:06by talking to Malenko, man of a thousand holes.

00:18:09Very good look.

00:18:10Oh, he just got kicked in off guard.

00:18:12It was last week, right here on this television program,

00:18:14in the same ring, on the same television program

00:18:17as always live, Dean Malenko lost the Cruiserweight title

00:18:21to a very determined young man in Ray Mysterio Jr.

00:18:25And he did that in the face of these young men in the sport.

00:18:28Many of them who got into the sport because of one man,

00:18:31because of the man they looked up to, Hulk Hogan.

00:18:33Ray Mysterio rebounded when his concentration,

00:18:36when his focus was not 100%.

00:18:39And Dean Malenko now, as a result,

00:18:42you heard what he said right before the break.

00:18:44Oh, Billy Kidman returns fire as well.

00:18:46Fans, we want to remind you that later on,

00:18:49keep it right here, the Outsiders.

00:18:52And once, I'm going to say very, very bluntly,

00:18:55I made some very emotional remarks towards Hulk Hogan.

00:18:58And I'm personally very scared to death.

00:19:01One, two, Billy Kidman got a toucan.

00:19:04Because of the way Hulk Hogan

00:19:05and the Outsiders operate as of late,

00:19:07they may jump out here right now and attack anybody.

00:19:10I've been looking, again, don't trust anybody.

00:19:14Standing switch applied, and Malenko

00:19:17over the standing switch by Kidman

00:19:19just spun around a 360 that nailed him into a gut.

00:19:22Malenko's very upset from last week, losing the title.

00:19:25Again, he wasn't focused.

00:19:26If you remember, he had him pinned like three times,

00:19:29but kept pulling him up, almost being

00:19:31cocky about the situation.

00:19:33I don't think Dean Malenko's going

00:19:34to make that mistake again.

00:19:36Toucan almost got a three count that time.

00:19:38I think you're right.

00:19:39I think we're going to find that Malenko is more focused.

00:19:41And how can you get any more focused than this man who

00:19:44is called the Iceman in WCW?

00:19:46No question about that.

00:19:48Fans, we want to let you know that it

00:19:50was some pretty good points brought up earlier

00:19:52by the Dungeon Doom.

00:19:53They talked about what happened to Lex Luger.

00:19:55We have not heard from Luger, nor seen Lex Luger,

00:19:58since he unfortunately was taken out of that match

00:20:00before Hulk Hogan stabbed us all through the heart.

00:20:04Well, Lex Luger returns tonight in action in our second hour.

00:20:07He's the world television champ,

00:20:09and he'll go up against Big Bubba.

00:20:11We'll see how Luger's doing physically and mentally

00:20:13as well.

00:20:14And he's a man, an island to himself that time.

00:20:18The foot got up.

00:20:19Luger is here by himself.

00:20:21We said Sting, Macho Man, Flair Giant,

00:20:24they are not here tonight.

00:20:25Certainly the outfighters have picked their spot.

00:20:34always remember, it's because it is well planned.
