00:03:35Last week when you talked about the N-W-O, Diamond Dallas Page,

00:03:40the Macho Man Randy Savage, and Sting.

00:03:42Larry, in this program later on tonight,

00:03:45Chris Benoit will face a member of the Dungeon of Doom.

00:03:49You know how explosive that is.

00:03:51But also, let me say this, that as you know, Lex Luger and

00:03:56Spring Stampede won the four corner tag match,

00:03:59won the right to face Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the world title.

00:04:04Luger has said here tonight, he wants the shot tonight.

00:04:08He cannot wait, he wants Hulk Hogan here tonight live on Nitro.

00:04:12He's not the only one, I want to see Lex Luger.

00:08:09We're talking about one of the members of the Dungeon of Doom going up against Benoit.

00:08:14You can imagine what Kevin Sultan and Jimmy Hart have planted in the brain of the Barbarian.

00:08:20What they want him to do to Chris Benoit.

00:08:23Chris Benoit to come out here to face the Barbarian.

00:08:26Look at the fans standing.

00:08:28Look at this crowd, if you will, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia here on this 14th day of April in 1997.

00:09:13The Barbarian zeros in on Benoit who sidesteps him.

00:09:17And now Chris Benoit begins things quickly.

00:12:52We are seeing another standoff here with the Dungeon of Doom and the Horsemen

00:13:03She wants to get in there against McMichael and the Haliburton.

00:13:06McMichael's was ready for her, and I don't think he would have held back,

00:13:54You come out here week after week and try to justify yourself,

00:13:58trying to make all your wrongs into rights.

00:14:02There's no sin in that.

00:14:04Maybe I haven't always done the right thing myself.

00:14:09I'm starting to believe that you are my karma coming back on me, Kevin.

00:14:20Or perhaps some other communicable disease.

00:15:29And you know, Larry, during the course of that first match,

00:15:32and even before the match, we were discussing the NWO.

00:15:35Later on, fans, Kevin Nash, Lex Luger, live in this telecast, second hour, one-on-one.

00:15:43That is still to come.

00:15:44But we discussed Eric Bischoff.

00:15:46He walked out here with the NWO.

00:15:49And as you know, fans, Eric Bischoff suspended by Dr. Harvey Schiller,

00:15:54the head of Turner Sports, back at the beginning of the month of March,

00:15:58right here on this program live when we were at the Omni in Atlanta.

00:16:01But as we announced, a few weeks after that, Eric had hired this law firm,

00:16:05and there's been a lot of, I guess, legal maneuvering going on.

00:16:09Well, you know what it is.

00:16:10It's a lot of inter-corporate depositions.

00:16:12Mr. Bischoff's in trouble,

00:16:14but he also created a lot of legal entanglements involving numerous contracts.

00:16:19Maybe we'll find out more about it.

00:16:21In other words, Mr. Bischoff made a big mess upstairs.

00:16:25Well, you know, we did announce that the WCW Executive Committee,

00:16:28that they were taking all the files of all the deals and the documents

00:16:32that he had done when he was in charge of this company,

00:16:35and we're looking through that.

00:16:36We do understand next week on this program,

00:16:40there will be a big announcement concerning that,

00:16:43concerning his status,

00:16:45and that there's a lot going on behind the scenes

00:16:48that you fans do not know about,

00:16:50and maybe that will come to light here next week.

00:16:52And I can't wait for that.

00:16:53That's a big announcement.

00:16:54Well, is he going to get completely squashed here?

00:16:57I don't know.

00:16:58I don't know what's going on as a result of this law firm that he's hired.

00:17:02There's a lot going on that we've not been able to talk about legally,

00:17:06but next week we will be able to discuss this,

00:17:09and there will be a big announcement made concerning his status.

00:17:12Why has he been out here?

00:17:14Why is he continuing to be a part of the NWO

00:17:17when not too long ago he basically was told,

00:17:20get away from our sport?

00:17:43Hector Guerrero, his opponent, the brother of Eddie.

00:17:46Yeah, we talked about the Guerreros before over the past few months.

00:17:49You just can't get rid of them.

00:17:50There's one after another after another.

00:17:52Now we're getting up to the veteran, the part of the Guerrero family.

00:17:55Hector, very good.

00:17:56You can see right here, this guy's no dummy.

00:17:59Malenko doesn't have the mileage Hector does,

00:18:03but if you make a mistake, Hector Guerrero, he'll snatch you.

00:18:06Malenko's tried a variety of things,

00:18:08but Hector's been up to the task here.

00:18:10There's a drop toehold and a crossface by the man of a thousand holds,

00:18:13the United States heavyweight champion, Dean Malenko.

00:18:16What a champion he has become.

00:18:18But you talking about a bitter rivalry that has existed,

00:18:22it really intensified when you go back now

00:18:24and talk about what happened at Spring Stampede

00:18:27when Eddie came out and walked back with that U.S. title belt.

00:18:31I really don't think Eddie wanted to have the belt,

00:18:34but it seemed as if the Dungeon of Doom,

00:18:36that they were there almost killing him.

00:18:39Here, walk back, take this belt.

00:20:59that Reggie White has signed to wrestle

00:21:02for World Championship Wrestling,

00:21:04and has signed, he's put his name on a contract

00:21:07to go one-on-one against Steve Mungo McMichael.

00:21:11Why would he do that?

00:21:13Steve McMichael has not signed this contract yet,

00:21:17but boy, would that be something to see those two men,

00:21:21two men, former All-Pros, or one a former All-Pro,

00:21:25one a current All-Pro with the Green Bay Packers.

00:21:28Both have Super Bowl rings to collide one-on-one

00:21:31in the wrestling ring together with WCW.

00:21:33Well, Mungo's got one thing old Reggie doesn't,

00:21:35and that's the experience of Flair and Anderson

00:21:38and the association with the Horsemen.

00:21:40Mungo would wipe up the mat with Reggie White.

00:21:46Well, you know, I'm not gonna take one side or the other here,

00:21:49but I can tell you right now,

00:22:18and we have two of the superstars from Mexico

00:22:21who have really made a name for themselves

00:22:23in the Cruiserweight division,

00:22:25Juventud Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. here, Larry.

00:22:27Yeah, and this is a big, big adversaries of each other.

00:22:32These guys have been combating

00:22:34for almost like the top star billing in Mexico

00:22:39and now all over the world,

00:22:41Rey Mysterio Jr. and Juventud Guerrero.

00:22:45Interesting toss-of-the-coin matchup here, Tony.

00:22:48Don't want to correct you, Beth, Guerrero, not Guerrero.

00:22:51There's too many Guerreros here.

00:22:54Juventud Guerrero means young warrior.
