00:00:35Wrestling's number one television program live, Nitro,

00:00:40here on TNT.

00:00:43And along with the living legend Larry Zobinsko, this is Tony Schiavone.

00:00:47Hi, everyone.

00:00:48Ladies and gentlemen, we are now 24 hours removed from WCW's

00:00:53Raw for all war games.

00:00:55Bad news to report, the NWO did win war games last night.

00:01:00It was a wild affair, Larry.

00:01:02If we go back and take a look.

00:01:03Bad news.

00:01:04It was horrible news.

00:01:05We had the world in our hands.

00:01:08It fell through our fingertips.

00:01:11If we would have trusted Sting, like I said, we would have won.

00:01:16As a matter of fact, as you see the cage lowering right now,

00:01:19we're going to take a look at some of the things that occurred.

00:01:22The first man in for the NWO was Hall of the Outsiders,

00:01:26of course, flanked by Ted DiBiase.

00:01:28The first man in for WCW was Arne Anderson, in for that five-minute period.

00:01:32The NWO won the coin toss.

00:01:34They sent in Nash of the Outsiders to give the two on one advantage.

00:01:38Lex Luger then came in to even it up at two apiece.

00:01:42Then comes Hulk Hogan, three to two advantage for the NWO,

00:01:46and then Ric Flair, even it up three to three.

00:01:48At that time, we had no idea what would happen.

00:01:51The fourth man for the NWO was this man.

00:01:54Fans, this is not Sting.

00:01:56This is an imposter.

00:01:58Earlier in the night, Sting said, hey, fans and members of WCW,

00:02:04that was not me last Monday.

00:02:06Sting then hit the ring for WCW, and he took charge.

00:02:10As a matter of fact, he confronted the bogus Sting.

00:02:13He attacked the bogus Sting, cleared house,

00:02:16but then Sting, very angry that no one believed him, walked away.

00:02:21And then WCW lost war games because Lex Luger being put into Scorpion Death Lock

00:02:27by the bogus Sting, attacked by Hulk Hogan.

00:02:29The NWO wins war games.

00:02:32Then the Macho Man Randy Savage entered to try to help matters.

00:02:35The Giant had entered.

00:02:36The cage was up, and all members of the NWO brutally attacked

00:02:40the Macho Man Randy Savage.

00:02:42Then, you're talking about a shocker,

00:02:44Miss Elizabeth enters to try to plead with Hulk Hogan to leave the Macho Man alone.

00:02:48As a matter of fact, she threw herself on top of the Macho Man,

00:02:51and then what has to be the most disgusting thing we've ever seen,

00:02:55they spray painted the dress of Miss Elizabeth.

00:02:59Ladies and gentlemen, like Larry said, we could have won war games.

00:03:03Sting came in, and you know I have an apology to make to Sting.

00:03:07I said, we all said he was the newest member of the NWO.

00:03:11That was wrong.

00:03:12That was incorrect.

00:03:13He obviously was in Japan.

00:03:14We should have known this.

00:03:16Was not there last Monday.

00:03:18He came in.

00:03:19He was very angry.

00:03:20You know, it's too late for apologies.

00:03:21Sting is a sensitive man.

00:03:23Someone says he hurt his feelings, no one trusting him.

00:03:26If you're going to be a sensitive individual, get a job working for Mother Teresa.

00:03:30This is war against the new world order, and as far as Savage goes,

00:03:34what happened with Elizabeth?

00:03:35Ric Flair spend all his alimony?

00:03:37I have no idea.

00:03:38I wouldn't trust her either.

00:03:39But by winning war games, the NWO now in full force.

00:03:42Earlier tonight, here at the arena, as a matter of fact, as you take a look,

00:03:46NWO people were out handing out flyers as people were walking into the arena.

00:03:52So the NWO had a lot of demands they wanted met if they won war games.

00:03:56Apparently, those demands are going to be met,

00:03:58and they have their propaganda out and about already.

00:04:01Some people taking it.

00:04:02Some people throwing this NWO propaganda right in the trash can.

00:04:06Not propaganda.

00:04:07It's toilet paper.

00:04:08Well, be that as it may, we have a lot going on tonight.

00:04:11Two hours of great world championship wrestling action

00:04:14as we go to the ring and David Penn for the first bout on Nitro.

00:04:17Ladies and gentlemen, the opening contest live on Monday Nitro

00:04:20is for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

00:04:23Set for one fall.

00:04:25Introducing first, the challenger from the Federal District of Mexico,

00:04:29Juventud Guerrera.

00:04:33We open up with Juventud Guerrera,

00:04:36the young man from Mexico who last night on WCW's Fall Brawl

00:04:42took Conan right to the test,

00:04:45almost became the Mexican heavyweight champion.

00:04:48Let's go back to David Pencer.

00:04:50His opponent from Tijuana, Mexico,

00:04:52the WCW Cruiserweight Champion,

00:04:55Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:05:01Tremendous ovation for Rey Mysterio Jr.,

00:05:04the WCW Cruiserweight Champion.

00:05:06Last night against Super Calo,

00:05:08held on to the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

00:05:11And I tell you, when you go back and think about the tremendous action

00:05:14that we had last night, Larry, at Fall Brawl,

00:05:18and then at the end, the way it all went down for WCW,

00:05:22it was one of the most exciting, but then again,

00:05:24one of the most disheartening, disappointing nights

00:05:26I've ever been a part of.

00:05:28It was one of the most exciting pay-per-views ever,

00:05:30a historical moment, but at the end,

00:05:33look what happened.

00:05:34Luger, Flair, Anderson left three against four.

00:05:39Mark Curtis is the referee showing the WCW Cruiserweight title.

00:05:42And once again, I want to apologize personally to Sting.

00:05:46And I'm doing it on my behalf and certainly on the entire broadcast,

00:05:49WCW broadcast team, we all said yes.

00:05:52We pointed our finger at him.

00:05:53He was a part of the NWO.

00:05:55They fooled us.

00:05:56It was not Sting.

00:05:57We should have known.

00:05:58We should have done our homework that Sting was in Japan.

00:06:00You know, earlier this year,

00:06:02I made some comments about Ric Flair pointing my finger at him,

00:06:05saying that he was a member of the New World Order.

00:06:07Yeah, you've been pointing your finger at everybody.

00:06:09Well, you know, we're in paranoid-type times now, Larry.

00:06:12It's paranoid, but let's face the sad fact.

00:06:15The NWO has always been one step ahead of us.

00:06:18It's time for us to get a leader and then take that two steps forward.

00:06:22We are not sure about the demands.

00:06:24Apparently, demands are going to be met that the NWO have made.

00:06:28We understand meetings have been going on all day

00:06:30in the WCW offices about their demands.

00:06:33They asked for not only their segment,

00:06:35they extended it to an entire television program.

00:06:38What?

00:06:39Yes, they did.

00:06:40And we are only going to tell you that in the weeks to come

00:06:42or maybe in the days to come,

00:06:44we will find out exactly how their demands will be met

00:06:47here in World Championship Wrestling.

00:06:49But ladies and gentlemen,

00:06:50we have later on Diamond Dallas against Ice Train,

00:06:52Conan Supercello, Hugh Morris is here in action,

00:06:56the Macho Man Randy Savage will go up against Scott Norton,

00:06:59and ladies and gentlemen,

00:07:01making his debut on Nitro a little bit later on

00:07:04here in hour number two, Glacier will be here,

00:07:07and he'll be going up against a man

00:07:09who's said some very unkind things about him

00:07:11over the past couple of weeks.

00:07:12We're talking about Big Bubba.

00:07:14That is still to come in this telecast.

00:07:16You know, I seen a very impressive debut of Glacier

00:07:18last week on Sunday, but now against Big Bubba,

00:07:21we'll see what the Glacier's made of.

00:07:24Yes, we will.

00:07:25Glacier will be here a little bit later on.

00:07:27All right, here's the whip.

00:07:28Ray Mysterio, Jr. been working on the leg.

00:07:31Hoobintooth Guerrero, and Hoobintooth with a back elbow

00:07:34put Ray Mysterio down hard in the match.

00:07:36Yeah, he caught him right smack in the mouth.

00:07:39This kid went down.

00:07:40We have seen some intense action

00:07:43from these superstars from Mexico,

00:07:45and we're gonna see some more later on in this telecast.

00:07:48Look at the quickness, if you will, of Ray Mysterio, Jr.

00:07:51A stumping spin wheel kick, and that was right on target.

00:07:54Yeah, the moves have been phenomenal.

00:07:56These athletes are incredible.

00:07:57The only thing about taking so many high risks so fast,

00:08:00so often, you leave a lot of openings.

00:08:03As a matter of fact, you may notice,

00:08:05and there Guerrero puts a foot right to the solar plexus.

00:08:08The abdomen of Ray Mysterio, Jr. heavily taped,

00:08:13as you can see, right above the waistline there.

00:08:16And I'm not so sure if that was an injury last night.

00:08:19Last night, the amazing thing about his match

00:08:22against Supercalo is that there were no broken bones.

00:08:25I mean, they did things with two rings.

00:08:27That's absolutely unbelievable last night.

00:08:30He waits on Guerrero.

00:08:31Whoa.

00:08:32Hoobatude held his balance nicely.

00:08:34Up on top.

00:08:35Nitro kicked him in the midsection

00:08:37as he was coming off.

00:08:38Caught him in midair.

00:09:11Yeah, Ray Mysterio, Jr., he's in trouble.

00:09:16You'll notice he's got some of his lower ribs

00:09:19already taped up.

00:09:20And boy, that's a painful area.

00:09:22And he got nailed again.

00:09:24That was a tremendous dropkick

00:09:25flush on the chest of Ray Mysterio, Jr.,

00:09:28the Cruiserweight champion.

00:09:29But one of his trademarks always has been

00:09:32in the jaws of defeat,

00:09:34the youngster has been able to pull it out.

00:09:37Each and every time, he astounds us.

00:09:39Whoa.

00:09:41He's trying to buy a little time now,

00:09:42but there's Hoobatude.

00:09:43A jumping springboard spinwheel kick.

00:09:46He knocked him all the way across the ring.

00:10:36those high wrist maneuvers.

00:10:37That's, you know, that's their forte.

00:10:47Look at this.

00:10:53on top of Ray Mysterio, Jr.

00:10:55He was off by maybe a foot,

00:10:56but that foot, he could have knocked himself cold.

00:10:58And Mysterio, he's in trouble now.

00:11:05Sends Ray Mysterio back to a neutral corner.

00:11:09A little hoovitude.

00:11:10Big chop right to the chest.

00:11:15And trying to move away from it.

00:11:17Hoovitude right now.

00:11:19Ever since the break,

00:11:20and I know we left you in the break,

00:11:21and it was Ray Mysterio with a seemingly advantage,

00:11:24but it's been Guerrero.

00:11:27Well, ladies and gentlemen, I do understand.

00:11:29Look at this move.

00:11:31I understand from the people in our production truck

00:11:33there's a celebration going on on the outside.

00:11:45of their win last night.

00:11:50and the NWO contingent with their leaflets,

00:11:53with their propaganda,

00:11:54celebrating what they accomplished last night.

00:11:57I find this sickening.

00:11:58It's amazing how many robotized sheep are in existence,

00:12:02and Ray Mysterio dumped him off!

00:12:04He got him!

00:12:05Incredible.

00:12:07You talk about high-risk maneuvers that are dangerous.

00:12:10That was one of the most spectacular moves

00:12:12we've ever seen.

00:12:15Out of the 1, 2, 3,

00:12:16Ray Mysterio hurt himself as well,

00:12:19but gets the win in the opening bout here on Nitro.

00:12:23A disgruntled, dejected Juventud Guerrero

00:12:26on the short end of that one.

00:12:27There'll be another day for him,

00:12:28but once again, like we said earlier,

00:12:30his ability to win in the jaws of defeat

00:12:33continues to make him a sensational fan favorite, Larry.

00:12:37Well, watch this guy move.

00:12:38I mean, he's like a cat came down.

00:12:40All these high-risk maneuvers, I think,

00:12:42took a toll on both of these men,

00:12:44but right here, Juventud Guerrero,

00:12:46he was ahead on points, left himself open.

00:12:49Ray Mysterio Jr. in a beautiful move

00:12:52and turned Guerrero into a human piñata, Tony,

00:12:55right before our very eyes.

00:12:57First time we have seen a Frankensteiner out of a powerbomb

00:13:01as we take you now to Mike Tenet in the locker room area.

00:13:09along with the Canadian Crippler, Chris Benoit.

00:13:11I think it was quite obvious that your presence

00:13:13was missed last night at the War Games.

00:13:15Let me tell you what, Lex.

00:13:17You better go find Sting

00:13:18and beg him to come back and get in this match, brother,

00:13:21because I made you a promise.

00:13:23If you let the horsemen down at War Games,

00:13:25what was gonna happen to you?

00:13:26And baby, tell the world what happens

00:13:28when your husband makes a promise.

00:13:30I tell you what, Lex and Sting,

00:13:31you better watch out,

00:13:32because my husband made a great living in the NFL for 15 years

00:13:36by being pumped up little bullies like you guys,

00:13:39so you better watch out.

00:14:18ever since Glacier made his debut last Sunday on WCW Pro on TBS,

00:14:23everyone's been talking about his unique style

00:14:26and about his background.

00:14:28Here's a special look.

00:14:29At Glacier as he brings his unique style to WCW later on tonight.

00:14:35Glacier's a spirit inside of me.

00:14:38The name Glacier was given to me by my master.

00:14:41It's an appreciation for the elements,

00:14:43the awesome strength and the power that's derived from the elements.

00:14:51There's a lot of excitement because Bruce Lee just hit superstardom.

00:14:54People like that got me excited about wanting to study martial arts.

00:15:00I had a burning desire inside of me that told me

00:15:02that's where I needed to go to learn.

00:15:06So I traveled thousands and thousands of miles

00:15:08and finally ended up in Kyoto, Japan.

00:15:10And what I found was an old master who took me in as a student.

00:15:17I was very happy to let him become my sensei,

00:15:20which in Japanese means teacher.

00:15:23He took a bunch of styles, combined the best of those styles

00:15:27and came up with an awesome style that was passed along to me.

00:15:34Throughout my travels across the world, especially in Japan,

00:15:37when I was out teaching what I knew,

00:15:39I met some of Japan's most phenomenal wrestlers.

00:15:43And they taught me what they knew.

00:15:45I have now taken a great experience in wrestling

00:15:49and a great experience in martial arts

00:15:51and put the two together to develop a style that I think is superior.

00:15:58The armor and the mask that I wear to the ring

00:16:01are both examples of what I consider a tribute to gladiators

00:16:06throughout the last hundreds of years.

00:16:11In the Japanese language, symbols are used rather than letters.

00:16:14The symbol on my belt is a symbol for the universe.

00:16:19The symbol that is on my face above my eye is a symbol of ice.

00:16:24The symbol that is on my back is a shield

00:16:27that is made into an ancient Japanese face of evil.

00:16:31It always reminds me that there could always be evil lurking behind my back.

00:16:34But that's why I wear it. It's a symbol of respect and honor.

00:16:37A glacier is what's known as a mass of moving ice.

00:16:40That's what I am. I'm a mass moving towards whoever my opponent is

00:16:44to conquer that opponent and win at any cost

00:16:47as long as it's within the rules.

00:16:49Be cool.

00:16:54You heard earlier, as Mike Tenet said,

00:16:56we have a tremendous tag team main event still to come.

00:16:59I guess the Horsemen are going to try to take matters into their own hands

00:17:02as Steve Mongo, McMichael, and Chris Benoit meet Lex Luger and Sting.

00:17:06And I do want to say, this time it will be the real Sting we understand.

00:17:11Sting very angry last night at everyone.

00:17:15Now that Sting's upset, now that Sting's angry,

00:17:17now that we heard his precious feelings,

00:17:20can Lex Luger trust him now that he turned his back on him before?

00:17:25Well, I think so.

00:17:27You know, a lot of times in the heat of a battle, emotions carry you away.

00:17:31Emotions have carried us away and carried me away.

00:17:34Emotions make you do funny things.

00:17:37I mean, why didn't Sting stick it out to the end?

00:17:41Didn't he have the guts?

00:17:43Or was it the emotions that made him leave the War Games?

00:17:47No one in the history of wrestling ever left the War Games.

00:18:15with the literature, the propaganda that's been distributed,

00:18:19WCW falling apart at the seams.

00:18:22They have battled us physically, mentally,

00:18:25and I must admit, it's working here.

00:18:27They've been staying one step ahead,

00:18:30the reason being that they have organization.

00:18:33They have a leader, and the followers,

00:18:36as robotized sheeps as they are,

00:18:39they follow the leader.

00:18:41All we have is paranoia, suspicion, finger-pointing

00:18:45at everybody from Sting to Nick Patrick, the referee.

00:18:49It just feels that at times,

00:18:51as Big Ice Train puts the mammoth arms around

00:18:54Diamond Dallas and crashing down to the mat.

00:18:57I mean, whatever happened to Gene Ogerlin?

00:19:00Gene Ogerlin disappeared.

00:19:01Well, he left, and I just feel like

00:19:04a lot of times we're just, I don't know,

00:19:06I feel very unsettled right now.

00:19:09But nevertheless, the action continues,

00:19:11and we still have the, without a doubt,

00:19:14bar none, look it up,

00:19:15the number one wrestling program in all the world

00:19:18each and every Monday right here on TNT.

00:19:21And Diamond Dallas coming off a successful

00:19:23venture last night

00:19:25against Chavo Guerrero Jr.

00:19:27and Ice Train very successful

00:47:49She couldn't stand to see what was happening to Randy.

00:47:51It just got to the point where whatever feelings

00:47:54were left for Randy Savage,

00:47:56however hidden they may have been

00:47:59by all of the things that have happened to those people

00:48:01in the past, they came out last night.

00:48:03She came to his aid, and she was embarrassed along with him.

00:48:06Well, Hogan spray-painted her dress, made a mockery of her.

00:48:09He even spit on both Savage and her laying on the mat.

00:48:12That's what he thinks of these people.

00:48:14Now he may have pushed Savage's butt too far.

00:57:46Well, I know a lot of the guys in the Dungeon of Doom

00:57:49so that makes sense with Bubba.

00:58:46Well, I think the most impressive thing

00:58:47is the way that he's been able to meld,

00:58:49the way that he's been able to mix

00:58:50that combination of styles with martial arts

00:58:53with professional wrestling of the 90s.

00:58:55Now, you just got a good look at a standing side kick.

00:58:57He locked that side kick down,

00:58:59had his hip rolled over.

00:59:00Perfect control, though.

00:59:02Didn't lose control of his upper body,

00:59:04which happens a lot of times with kickboxers.

00:59:07They put so much effort into the kick

00:59:08that they lose control of their upper body.

00:59:10He had perfect control there

00:59:11and was able to recover,

00:59:12even though he didn't get the kick.

00:59:14You'd almost have to say that Big Bubba's

00:59:15at a disadvantage in this matchup

00:59:17just from the plain familiarity

00:59:19and not being too familiar with the style of Glacier.

00:59:21Absolutely.

00:59:22And that's Bubba's fault.

00:59:23Bubba should make Glacier wrestle his man.
