00:34It is WCW Monday Nitro Live, the only live wrestling broadcast
00:43this Monday night, and it's coming to you here again on TNT
00:49Live from Knoxville, and we have got an explosive night of
00:55hard-hitting wrestling action coming your way, including a
01:01big six-man main event that we'll be talking about in just a
01:05few minutes.
01:06But, Mongo, Bobby, last week, man, it was the booty man, and
01:11he kicked some booty while he was here, dude.
01:13Well, he certainly did, you know, and everybody's talking
01:16about the pay-per-view coming up uncensored on the 24th of
01:19March, but this could be uncensored tonight.
01:21We could see things happen here with Hogan and that big six-man
01:24tag that you may never see again.
01:26Don't leave your rented furniture.

01:29Yeah, let me reiterate that.
01:31Hulk Hogan with a spy in the Dungeon of Doom's camp?
01:34Absolutely.
01:35Unprecedented, sports fans.
01:36We'll get into that later, but get ready for some rumbling
01:39tonight, because we've got the road warriors in Harlem Heat.
01:42Them two tag team, baby, they get after it.
01:44Absolutely, and the six-man match that we talked about is
01:46going to see Hulk Hogan, the macho man Randy Savage, and the
01:49booty man, the spy, if you will, step into the ring with the
01:53world heavyweight champion.
01:54That ain't your boy, Ric Flair, Arne Anderson, and the
01:57taskmaster, and you've got Sting and Luger, the world tag team
02:01champions, in singles competition.
02:05That should be very interesting.
02:07Whole lot coming your way.
02:08Let's kick it off with the Stinger.
02:10This is going to be an interesting matchup.
02:15Here's two guys who know each other extremely well.
02:20We're talking about the Stinger and Big Bubba, and right off
02:26the bat, I want to let all you fans know, with remote controls
02:30in your hand, over at the World Whining Federation, here's how
02:36it goes down.
02:38DQ, Yokozuna, the handicap match.
02:41Cank and Snake Roberts, we're talking about picking up some
02:44bones here.
02:45Over Isaac Yankov and Diesel over Bob Holly.

02:50Okay, we got that out of the way.
02:51Now you are where the action is, and the action is live.
02:56Who knows what's going to happen here tonight?

03:02Well, Big Bubba looks ready.
03:04The man's always ready.

03:08I can't wait to see Sting in some singles match here when he
03:12don't have to worry about shenanigans by Lex Luger.
03:15Let me tell you, this boy's ready to rumble.
03:18Well, if it wasn't for Lex Luger, this man would not be
03:21one-half of the tag team champion, along with manager
03:24Jimmy Hart.
03:25You can't say that.

03:28You don't have a crystal ball over there.
03:29You don't know how this man would have done with another
03:31partner, so what if he's got Lex Luger hitting people with
03:34chains, hitting them with whatever?
03:37The Stinger, without question, one of the most popular
03:41athletes in the sport today, a guy who's been hooking up as of
03:44late with Steve Grissom, and you're talking about a couple of
03:49winners here.
03:50Stinger, one-half of the world tag team champion, Steve
03:53Grissom.
03:54Of course, he drives a WCW car in the Busch Series, Grand
03:58National Series, and, of course, he drives a Hanna-Barbera car
04:02in the Winston Cup.
04:03And, by the way, congratulations, Steve Grissom,
04:07this Sunday placing fifth in the Winston Cup in that Hanna-Barbera
04:12guy.
04:13I tell you what, winners attract winners.
04:15That's just the way it goes.
04:16Was the Stinger out there again holding out the pit sign for
04:19him?
04:20Absolutely.
04:21Right.
04:22Absolutely.
04:23Stinger's turned into a big race fan.
04:25Well, I hope he washes the grease off his hands and puts the
04:27monkey wrench back in his pocket, because he's going to have his
04:30hands full with this big machine.
04:32A lot of horsepower there, and I'm talking about Big Bubba.
04:36Big Bubba, indeed.
04:37And I'll tell you what, Monkey, you've been in situations before
04:39where you've had to play against teams and individuals on teams
04:42that you've played time and time and time again.
04:45Sometimes it's an advantage.
04:47Sometimes, though, I would have to imagine, it's got to be a
04:49disadvantage.
04:50When you can predict, you know your opponent so well, you're
04:53forced into coming up with a new game plan.
04:55That could throw the Stinger off here tonight.
04:57Exactly.
04:58Well, you know Big Bubba's going to brawl him, baby.
05:00Stinger's going to have to stick with his wrestling, and we call
05:03it game plan.
05:04You watch Phil, you watch this big guy, where is he susceptible?
05:08He'll find it.
05:10Well, I'll tell you something, you really can't tell where he's
05:12susceptible.
05:13The man is very quick, he's very agile, he has a horrible temper.
05:19And make no mistake about it, he is an incredibly powerful
05:22individual who's been around the ring a long time.
05:25You're not going to fool him.
05:27You're not going to intimidate him.
05:28We're talking, of course, about Big Bubba.
05:30You have to take him very seriously.
05:33Although Sting, without question, a man who is on a roll here, and
05:37I don't think can be intimidated by anyone either.

05:40Sting up very quickly, thought he was going to set up for a drop
05:43kick, but instead takes Big Bubba face first right into the mat.
05:48That's what you got to do.
05:49You got to get up on this big guy, not let up.
05:51You got to stay on top of him, because if you do, he might squash
05:55you like a bug.
05:57And there's a lot of that going around here in WCW with a big
06:01boy's play.
06:03You've got to be careful when you get in there with some of these
06:06powerhouses that know the ring so well.
06:10Did you see and hear that?
06:13That sounded like a two-by-four cracking.
06:16Big right hand.
06:18Might have been some dental work cracking.
06:21Look at the agility of this man.
06:23That's what I was talking about.
06:24Well over 300 pounds.
06:25Let me ask you two a question.
06:26What do you think is going on here in the camp with Sting and Luger
06:30and Jimmy Hart?
06:32Give me your opinion on that, Eric.
06:35I don't know.
06:36I mean, I honestly don't know.
06:37I mean, you're talking about Jimmy Hart.
06:39Here's the guy.
06:40I guarantee you I can throw him much farther than I trust him.
06:44And the same can be said for Lex Luger.
06:46What confuses me, mystifies me, is the relationship between Sting
06:50and Luger.
06:51Clearly Sting is aware of Luger's shortcomings.
06:54Apparently, however, able to look past them or through them or see
06:57beyond them and try to find something good in this guy.
07:00But I'd have to say even Sting, even his patience is being tested.
07:04If you've been watching WCW Saturday night, you saw the interview this
07:07past weekend.

07:09One, two, big boomer.

07:12Oh, he was too cocky there.
07:13He should have laid on top of him and hooked that leg, baby.
07:16He might have had it.
07:17Or hooked the trunks to put your foot on the rope or do something.

07:23You have to look out for yourself.

07:26That's what's wrong with the Sting-Luger camp.
07:28Luger plays by those rules, and Sting plays by the WCW rules.
07:33That is the friction everybody sees right there.
07:36But, Monk, I hate to call you to the carpet, but what's Sting doing about it?
07:39So far he's sat back.
07:40He's letting what's happened happen.
07:42And like I said, maybe a little bit of tension we're starting to see in the
07:44interview.
07:45I mean, we're going to find out just how close this relationship between
07:48these two individuals really is.
07:49Well, you know, when you're friends with somebody, you give them all the
07:52rope in the world, and sooner or later they're going to hang themselves.
07:56And Stinger taking Big Bubba into the corner, into the turnbuckles.

08:01Big splash, and another devastating right hand sends the Stinger face
08:06first into the mat.
08:08You know, he's been in tag team competition an awful lot lately, being
08:11one half of the world's tag team champions, him and Luger.
08:14So is he used to wrestling with a partner?
08:16Is he used to always going back to that corner and seeing if he's got some
08:19help?

08:21He's in there right now by himself.
08:22He's got to depend on his skills with a big, big man.

08:26Oh, Sting eats a lariat.
08:28Well, you've got to admit Big Bubba's handling Sting.

16:21Luger had no idea what he got himself into.
16:25They signed an open contract for Uncensored.
16:27If the Road Warriors want a Chicago street,
16:30they're going to get it.
16:31And Luger doesn't even have a clue what he's getting into.
16:34The Renegade making his way to the ring.

16:41Luger had both belts on his shoulder.

20:28Last year, we had a truck heading down a highway
20:32at speeds over 50 miles an hour
20:35with a wrestling match going on in the back.
20:37That's never been done before.
20:39We had a brawl and a concession stand.

20:45So I'm telling you, anything can happen,

21:34I mean, like a 100-pound warm-up bench
21:36pressed off the chest of the Renegade.

21:43I can't believe Luger was ready to get into this match
21:45and have a guy go toe-to-toe with him,
21:47strength for strength, because Luger
21:49is one of the most powerful guys in the WCW, let's face it.
21:52I'll give him that much.
21:54Well, Lex Luger, a former member of the so-called New Generation
21:57who crossed on over to play with the big boys,
22:01is going to get an opportunity to play with the big boys
22:03in the streets of Chicago at WCW Uncensored
22:06on pay-per-view March 24.
22:09You saw that match made right here on Nitro.
22:11That's why they call him the total package.
22:13I'm not sure Sting's too happy about it.
22:16But don't worry.

22:18And I know Lex Luger.

22:20I know what goes through their minds.
22:22Sting's just going to have to keep his mouth shut

22:45Well, you got to be very careful about a guy like Renegade.
22:47He has enormous amount of energy.
22:49Comes to the ring at about 80 miles an hour.

22:55You just can't turn your back on this guy.
22:57He's so powerful.

22:59Well, we just saw Sting go through it,

23:04they're a tag team now.
23:05They're not used to answering in single competition.
