00:00:28Welcome to two full hours of Without a Doubt,

00:00:31wrestling's number one television program, WCW Monday Nitro.

00:00:36He is live on the air once again on this Monday.

00:00:42And along with the one and only living legend Larry Zabisco,

00:00:47this is Tony Schiavone.

00:00:50As you can see and you can hear, we are red hot Larry Zabisco.

00:00:55And as Eric Bischoff announced a week ago,

00:00:58many of the top WCW superstars are not here tonight because they are in Japan.

00:01:04And this would be the perfect opportunity for the NWO to strike.

00:01:09As a matter of fact, they have really kind of struck already.

00:01:12Take a look at what we are seeing right here.

00:01:14This ad ran today in the USA Today, put in obviously by the NWO.

00:01:20There you see them spray painting the Monday Nitro logo.

00:01:23And they said while the WCW is away, the NWO will play, Larry.

00:01:28Well, you know, a parasite is a useless life form.

00:01:31It infiltrates a healthy species.

00:01:34It sucks its blood dry and does nothing in the end,

00:01:38but destroys an organization that blood, sweat, and tears

00:01:42by a lot of athletes went into.

00:01:44The New World Order, Hulk Hogan and the Outsiders,

00:01:47they're nothing but parasites.

00:01:49One man is here though, the Macho Man Randy Savage,

00:01:52along with many other stars of WCW.

00:01:55As a matter of fact, if you take a look at the footage from Fall Brawl,

00:01:58the Macho Man Randy Savage was very, very successful against the Giant.

00:02:02The man looked good.

00:02:03The man is going to Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc,

00:02:06going after Hulk Hogan in the WCW World Heavyweight Title.

00:02:09But I would think this man will be somewhat of a target here tonight for the NWO, Larry.

00:02:14Well, no doubt, Randy Macho Man is the target.

00:02:17He has the ability to win.

00:02:19Life has kicked him.

00:02:20Randy Savage, when life kicks you, make sure it kicks you forward,

00:02:23and you get the Holy Grail.

00:02:25No doubt the man who could pick up the Giant and slam him at Fall Brawl

00:02:29is ready for Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc and Hulk Hogan.

00:02:32WCW is ready as well.

00:02:34Let's take a look at the footage from earlier today.

00:02:36You know about the propaganda.

00:02:37You have seen it.

00:02:38But earlier today, WCW and the fans,

00:02:41there you see what some of the fans think of the NWO,

00:02:44tearing up this propaganda.

00:02:46No way, Outsiders.

00:02:48WCW is fighting back, I'm happy to report,

00:02:51and it's going to continue on through Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc.

00:02:55Well, it's about time.

00:02:56That's what we need, organization.

00:02:58We need leadership.

00:03:08As we kick it off, let's go to the ring tonight on Nitro.

00:03:12Ladies and gentlemen, the first contest live on Monday Nitro

00:03:16is tag team action, Simple One Fall.

00:03:19Introducing team number one,

00:03:21coming into the ring by the mouth of the south, Jimmy Hart,

00:03:24and representing the Dungeon of Doom,

00:03:26first from the Iron Gates of Fate,

00:03:29the Taskmaster.

00:03:31His tag team partner from Mexico City,

00:03:34the Mexican heavyweight champion,

00:03:36Coleman.

00:03:40Well, we begin with tag team action this week on Nitro,

00:03:43and you've got an angel duo here of the Taskmaster

00:03:47and the Mexican heavyweight champion, Conan.

00:03:51Well, you've got the devious mind of Kevin Sullivan.

00:03:54You've got the physical ability and the unique style of Conan

00:03:58being led by a deranged man.

00:04:00You know, Kevin Sullivan's got a great personality,

00:04:03but not for a human being.

00:04:05Here to put us from Marietta, Georgia,

00:04:06Brent Armstrong, and from the Federal District of Mexico,

00:04:10Juventud Guerrera.

00:04:13Juventud Guerrera and Brent Armstrong

00:04:16are their opponents.

00:04:17Big Bubba, of course, is in there with them,

00:04:19and we welcome Mike Tenay with us.

00:04:20Mike, of course, will be with us,

00:04:21as always, during the second hour.

00:04:23Mike, I know you know as well as anyone else,

00:04:26Conan has been quite an addition to the Dungeon of Doom here,

00:04:30this Mexican heavyweight champion with a new attitude,

00:04:32but really, you've got to admit, like him or not,

00:04:34in most people, right now or not,

00:04:36he's been looking really darn good.

00:04:38The latest recruit for the Dungeon of Doom

00:04:40has emerged with a more aggressive style than ever before,

00:04:43a relentless offensive attack.

00:04:46Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan has regrouped,

00:04:48he's refocused his troops to counterattacks from both sides,

00:04:52from within the company,

00:04:53the Four Horsemen, from the outside,

00:04:55the New World Order.

00:04:57Against Juventud Guerrera, rolls through,

00:04:59and Mark Curtis says no, only a two count that time.

00:05:02Kevin Sullivan, the Taskmaster, and Conan together

00:05:05in the opening bout here in Nitro.

00:05:06Juventud Guerrera, he's up on top,

00:05:08and a head scissor takeover,

00:05:10and quickly on the outside, Conan.

00:05:12Well, he's not done yet.

00:05:14Not at all, he goes up top,

00:05:15and sends Conan crashing down.

00:05:17That's one thing about Juventud Guerrera,

00:05:20even outside the ring is not a safety zone.

00:05:23You've got to look up at all times.

00:05:26Well, Juventud took control with that cross body

00:05:28up and over the top in Mexico,

00:05:30that move is called a plancha,

00:05:32and I think back to that highly competitive title match

00:05:35with a Mexican heavyweight belt at Fall Brawl,

00:05:37Conan's power and his size advantage,

00:05:39just too much for Juventud,

00:05:41as he somersaults through with that leg drop.

00:05:43Using the top ropes as a springboard

00:05:45with the somersault, Juventud Guerrera,

00:05:47no, the Mexican title is not on the line tonight,

00:05:50but certainly for Juventud Guerrera,

00:05:52a very important match for him in this tag team,

00:05:54and quite a pointer in Brad Armstrong.

00:05:56Oh!

00:05:57My goodness, he turned that into a DDT!

00:05:59Yeah, dunked him right on top of his head,

00:06:02and Sullivan is not tagging.

00:06:05Well, what's that all about?

00:06:06He went to tag Kevin Sullivan,

00:06:08Sullivan said, go get him, get him some more,

00:06:10and without losing the beat,

00:06:11Conan back once again.

00:06:13You know, what's Brad Armstrong thinking?

00:06:15Can Brad Armstrong speak Spanish?

00:06:17Can he even communicate with his partner,

00:06:19who's in big trouble?

00:06:21Dropping him, he goes to make a tag again,

00:06:24and again Sullivan not making the tag.

00:06:28You know, it looks as if Sullivan

00:06:29doesn't want to get in here at all,

00:06:31but now Brad Armstrong does.

00:06:34Sends him in, dunks low, misses a clothesline.

00:06:38No communication problem there.

00:06:40Well, he's not talking to anybody.

00:06:42Armstrong can handle Conan,

00:06:43he can keep up with him athletically,

00:06:45see if he's vicious enough.

00:06:46You know, you also got Jimmy Hart outside the ring,

00:06:49and Armstrong got it right in the knee,

00:06:51wasn't expecting Conan to go long.

00:06:54Picking him up.

00:06:55Powerbombing Armstrong down here in the match.

00:06:58Uh-oh, as you can see,

00:07:00Sullivan reluctantly appears, makes a tag,

00:07:03but the NWO propaganda is out in full force

00:07:07across the way there.

00:10:31well, the majority of them were booked in Japan,

00:10:34and I was booked in Japan too,

00:10:36but I took myself out of there.

00:10:38Not because I've got any unbelievably stroke or anything.

00:10:42I just felt that I needed to be at Nitro

00:10:44because it's not cutting stone

00:10:46whether you're going to beat me up

00:10:48or I'm going to beat up the whole NWO tonight.

00:10:51And about Elizabeth, let me tell you something.

00:10:53Not this lifetime, not the next lifetime,

00:10:56or maybe the only thing we've got in common

00:10:58is that about 100,000 lifetimes away from now,

00:11:01we might be the same goldfish swimming in the same water.

00:11:06Now, nothing makes sense,

00:11:07but I'm going to tell you something that does.

00:11:09Halloween Havoc is very scary,

00:11:12and I'm not scared in Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

00:11:15I take the responsibility to wipe you out.

00:12:35Well, anybody that can take Benoit to the limit

00:12:38definitely knows what they're doing.

00:12:40Jericho came on the scene.

00:12:41I think he surprised a lot of people against Benoit.

00:12:45And he's got no easy night here against Mike Enos either.

00:12:49We'll see what he's got.

00:12:50See if the Benoit match wasn't a bit of a luck out.

00:12:53I want to go back to something the Macho Man just said.

00:12:56He talked about Miss Elizabeth and what happened

00:12:58and what you fans have seen.

00:12:59I know by now at Fall Brawl what she did.

00:13:01You know, it looks to me as if she may have rediscovered

00:13:04her feelings for the Macho Man, Randy Savage, in one night.

00:13:07At least that's what it appears on the surface there.

00:13:11I don't know.

00:13:12If I was Randy, I would just stick to his game plan.

00:13:15He said 100,000 lifetimes from now.

00:13:19That seems about right.

00:13:20Well, you know, when we talked to Savage

00:13:27in his world title match,

00:13:28we also have found out tonight Harlem Heat

00:13:31will defend against the Outsiders, Hall, and Nash.

00:13:33The WCW World Tag Team belts

00:13:35has Slim Jims' Halloween Havoc as well.

00:14:29But they basically said that we will be here tonight.

00:14:34Paul Cogan, the Outsiders, Ted DiBiase, number six,

00:14:38the Bogus Sting, the entire group here tonight.

00:14:42How they will come in, what they will do, remains to be seen.

00:14:47They have a chance, as we said,

00:14:48to get the World Tag Team Championship as well

00:14:50at Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc against Harlem Heat.

00:14:53And right now, Mike Enos choking away.

00:14:55There's a couple of parasites trying to run off

00:14:57with the World Championship Tag Team belts.

00:15:02I don't like the idea.

00:15:04And again, Savage being confused.

00:15:07He said something else, too, that I didn't like.

00:16:17and you are facing someone like, well, like Chris Benoit.

00:16:20You're facing someone like a Mike Enos.

00:16:23It would be very easy to say, you know,

00:16:25I've had enough.

00:16:26They're beating me up enough.

00:16:27But that's not been the case with Chris Jericho.

00:16:29He just continues to scrap and get to his feet

00:16:32like he's doing right now.

00:16:33Well, I think that's what shocked Benoit,

00:16:35is that this guy does not give up.

00:16:37Enos, he's going to go suplex him on him, steel step.

00:16:40Oh!

00:16:42And he did.

00:16:43Right beyond his ear, as you can see,

00:16:45that could seriously injure Chris Jericho.

00:16:48You can see the face of Jericho.

00:16:50He is in a tremendous amount of pain here.

00:16:52Yeah, he hit the steel steps.

00:16:54He's got nowhere to go.

00:16:55That steel always breaks bones.

00:16:57And again, something scary that Savage was talking about was,

00:17:03He's our last hope.

00:17:05I don't like to hear that.

00:17:16And Enos back into the attack once again.

00:17:38Well, he just got that bear hug stitched in nice and low.

00:18:12And Enos, who has been known in WCW as a Pollux Tag Team wrestler,

00:18:25He's got to sit back.

00:18:26Got to straighten that chest and neck up and sit back on the small,

00:18:29the back of Jericho.

00:18:31He's too far forward.

00:18:35Just kind of gives up on it as he just jumps down on the back of Jericho.

00:18:39Going to try some other strategy here.

00:18:41Well, Jericho's keeping them legs as straight as he can.

00:18:43Enos felt he couldn't bend them over, so move on to plan B.

00:18:49Almost like a backbreaker or a form of a torture rack here.

00:18:53He's got his hands locked on top of that sternum bone.

00:18:57You squeeze down on them with the knuckles while the man's upside down.

00:19:00Very hard to breathe.

00:19:01Keep the wind out of Jericho.

00:19:51Enos keeps getting up, but it's slower every time.

00:19:54Jericho looks like he regrouped.

00:20:02And he still has more to give some offense from the top.

00:20:25call it what you want to call it, heart, desire,

00:20:27intestinal fortitude.

00:20:28The young man will just not stay down.

00:20:32He won't give up.

00:20:33But Enos is pulling ahead on points.

00:20:38And he rolled him over.

00:20:45Chris Jericho turned a power slam around on Mike Enos

00:20:49and gets the win.

00:20:50You know, I've always said a wrestling match

00:20:52is three heartbeats away from being over.

00:20:55Jericho just proved it.
