00:01:03We are one week removed from the brutal attack,

00:01:06the takeover, if you will, by the NWO.

00:01:09It has to be considered the lowest point in the history

00:01:12of this great live television program each and every Monday.

00:01:15We do understand in this telecast,

00:01:17Eric Bischoff will give an official response

00:01:19on what happened last week.

00:01:21We'll wait on Eric's response.

00:01:23And Larry, it was absolutely horrible last week.

00:01:25Not only did they attack Eric Bischoff,

00:01:27they slapped him around repeatedly.

00:01:29They took over the proceedings of the ring.

00:01:31They even brought out their own race car last week.

00:01:34They apparently had their own race car.

00:01:36And if you can believe this, yeah, right,

00:01:38they say their driver is Kyle Petty.

00:01:41Yeah, well, more paranoia, more rumors.

00:01:44I think Kyle Petty has too much class

00:01:47to go in with the new world order.

00:01:49And I would agree to that.

00:01:50Ladies and gentlemen, I do understand that Eric is.

00:01:54All right, let's go to our broadcast location.

00:02:01And I want to make one thing very clear.

00:02:03First of all, you pointed out that, yeah,

00:02:05they slapped me around.

00:02:06Yes, the new world order, as Larry refers to it,

00:02:09did take over our broadcast booth.

00:02:11But listen, this isn't about Eric Bischoff.

00:02:13This is about the history of WCW and what that represents.

00:02:18This company's roots go back to 1905.

00:02:21Champions like Luthez, Terry and Dory Funk,

00:02:24Pat O'Connor, Dusty Rhodes.

00:02:27The names go on and on.

00:02:28It may not mean anything at all to Hulk Hogan,

00:02:32to the outsiders, Hall and Nash, to Ted DiBiase,

00:02:35to that 180-pound wimp they call Six.

00:02:38Maybe it doesn't mean anything at all to them,

00:02:40but it does mean a lot of things to a lot of people.

00:02:42It has got to stop. It is going to stop.

00:02:45And it's going to stop now,

00:02:46because this company's not going to tolerate it.

00:02:48Not at the corporate level, not at the level here

00:02:50that all of us work at on Nitro

00:02:52to try to put together a program that people out there can enjoy.

00:02:56It's got to stop, because it's not fun anymore.

00:02:58Nobody's entertained by it.

00:03:00The NWO is nothing but dirt bags,

00:03:03from the bottom all the way to the top.

00:03:05And yes, that means you, Hulk Hogan.

00:03:07And yes, Eric Bischoff has been accused

00:03:09of making a whole lot of mistakes,

00:03:10and I admit that I have.

00:03:12And my relationship with WCW may have only lasted

00:03:15the last five or six years, but let me tell you something.

00:03:17The one singular mistake I ever made

00:03:19was bringing Hulk Hogan into WCW.

00:03:22And Hogan and the rest of you thugs,

00:03:24because that's all you are, you're thugs.

00:03:27You want to come in here? You want to try to stop WCW?

00:03:30Well, we've worked too hard. We've worked too long.

00:03:33And gentlemen, and I use that word very carefully,

00:03:35because it really doesn't apply,

00:03:37but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

00:05:31It's going to be interesting, you know.

00:05:32I had my heart set on watching the Heart on the Heat

00:05:34stand up for World Championship wrestling.

00:05:37I think they're going to have an easy time

00:05:39with Paul and Nash, but now,

00:05:41now I don't know, public enemy, unorthodox team,

00:05:44but it's going to be an exciting pay-per-view.

00:05:48They better keep the gold.

00:05:49Ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be an exciting

00:05:51two hours of WCW wrestling action here tonight.

00:05:54As a matter of fact, in keeping with the way

00:06:00public enemy throw the Outsiders

00:06:02right to that table head first.

00:06:04Well, that's their MO.

00:06:05They bring that table to the ring.

00:06:07Of course, it's a loophole

00:06:08if you leave it outside the ring.

00:06:10It's not a foreign object, only inside the ring,

00:06:12so they can bring it out, and of course,

00:06:14that intimidates their opponents right off the bat.

00:06:19We look at Juventud Guerrero and El Tecnico

00:06:23here in this opening bout,

00:06:24and there you see Randy Anderson,

00:06:26and I want to say hats off to Randy Anderson as well.

00:06:32this is not WCW action. I'm leaving.

00:06:35And you saw Nick Patrick all too willing

00:06:37to get in the ring to help matters out, I would think.

00:06:40And speaking of taking matters into their own hands,

00:06:42we're going to show you some footage of this past weekend

00:06:45of how WCW is taking matters into its own hands as well.

00:15:48Well, you know how Malenko feels ever since losing the belt to Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:15:57and Malenko, I think, was a good move of human chest to do that.

00:16:21Now they're hiding in a motel room.

00:16:34the young German sensation who, in about three years here,

00:16:38has made quite a name for himself

00:16:44Well, Alex Wright here, he's going to have a match on his hands.

00:16:48Malenko, you know, motivated more than ever.

00:16:52This guy is no nonsense, and he knows a lot more holds than Alex.

00:16:57Alex is basically going to have to play a game of, you know,

00:17:02stay away, like hit and run.

00:17:04Don't let Malenko get his hands on you on the mat.

00:17:07That's when you're going to be in trouble.

00:17:10D. Malenko floats over the top into a front face lock

00:17:12and a good reversal to a hammer lock that time from Alex Wright.

00:17:19We often talk, and when we say about the man of a thousand holds,

00:17:22we feel he has no parallel in this sport,

00:17:24but Alex Wright is up to the task here.

00:17:30You know, one thing about Malenko, and I've been watching the guy here a lot,

00:17:33he's almost maybe a little too methodical.

00:17:36He thinks a little too much.

00:17:40You almost have, it has to go with the flow.

00:17:43You have to flow like water down a stream.

00:17:46Be fluid.

00:17:47Malenko sometimes too much in thought, not enough instinct.

00:18:50You know, ever since Malenko lost that cruiserweight championship

00:18:53here on this program back in July to Rey Mysterio,

00:18:56he has been on a quest, so to speak, to get that title back.

00:18:59Of course he has.

00:19:00He wants to be the cruiserweight champion, pulling ahead on points.

00:19:03Alex Wright made a big mistake,

00:19:05tried to put that abdominal stretch on Malenko.

00:19:07Again, master of 1,000 holds, also master of 1,000 reverses.

00:19:12Watch out! Back to the safety rail.

00:19:15They are right behind us, very close to the action here,

00:19:18and Alex Wright, as you can see,

00:19:20has taken a tremendous amount of punishment

00:19:23at the hands of this man, as we said on a quest, on a mission.

00:19:56and that is to win the cruiserweight championship once again.

00:20:53when the organization needs him,

00:20:57I mean, Bischoff went through a whole list of guys

00:20:59from Lou Sez to the Bunks,

00:59:57is relying on Randy Savage.

00:59:59And then, all of a sudden, to have this interview

01:00:00scheduled with him tonight, and no Macho Man.

01:00:03Just very, very confusing.

01:00:04Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, let me ask you.

01:00:07If Savage wasn't in trouble, he'd be here.

01:01:01a little time right now.

01:01:03He needed a little distance, and he was gonna give Sting

01:01:05that time and that distance to sort things out.

01:01:07And I think that's a good move on his part.

01:01:08Although I heard from some people

01:01:10that Sting's feelings were really hurt

01:01:11that the likes of Lex Luger and the fans at WCW

01:01:15wouldn't trust him, to think that he turned his back

01:01:17on his fans and went with the NWO.

01:01:19Sting is devastated by this, and he's gonna have to

01:01:22wipe the tears out of his eyes, too,

01:01:24and become a free agent or not.

01:01:27Join us or not. It's that simple.

01:01:28Bobby, I think that if anyone can judge the situation

01:01:31with Sting right now, it would have to be

01:01:33the total package Lex Luger.

01:09:01Lex Luger was coaxed out to a limousine in the rain,

01:09:04actually by Ted DiBiase and, if you'll recall, by Nick Patrick.

01:09:08The man that jumped out of the car we thought was Sting.

01:09:11We all said, hey, Sting is a part of the NWO.

01:09:14We were wrong.

01:09:15We talked about that maybe because we being wrong,

01:09:18we being WCW, as the front office staff,

01:09:21as production personnel, and as wrestlers, by being wrong,

01:09:25we lost war games.

01:09:26We lost fall brawl.

01:09:28We want to give Sting a sign of peace, a little peace

01:09:31offering, if you will.

01:09:32Ladies and gentlemen, as you know,

01:11:00These two men who are coming up at Slim Jim's Halloween

01:11:15will be facing members of the horsemen, Benoit and McMichael,

01:11:19will face these two men.

01:11:22when you talk about great tag teams

01:11:24in the history of our sport, the Rock and Roll Express,

01:11:27one of the teams that come to mind.

01:11:28Well, one of the great tag teams through the 1980s,

01:11:31now trying to expand that into the 90s.

01:11:34And boy, are they in for a difficult time

01:11:37tonight against this team of Ming and the Barbarian.

01:11:40Those are island savages from Tonga, of course,

01:11:42managed by Jimmy Hart.

01:11:44And coming up at Halloween Havoc,

01:11:45the faces of fear against Chris Benoit and Steve

01:11:48McMichael.

01:11:49What a tag team match that's going to be.

01:11:51You know, the faces of fear got about,

01:11:52I would say, 50, 60 pounds apiece

01:11:54on the Rock and Roll Express.

01:11:56But Rock and Roll Express, Tony, they've

01:11:57been world tag team champions on five, six,

01:11:59seven different occasions.

01:12:00They've been good, good friends all their lives

01:12:03in and out of that ring.

01:12:04So they know each other quite well.

01:12:05They've beaten a lot of good, great, big teams.

01:12:08But I'll tell you, this team of the Faces of Fear

01:12:11here, they're just too powerful.

01:12:13They're just too big.

01:12:14They're too mean.

01:12:15And they got Jimmy Hart in the corner.

01:12:16I think it obviously comes down to a situation

01:12:19where it's the power of the Faces of Fear

01:12:21against the speed and cunning of the Rock and Roll Express.

01:12:24They're going to need to stay one step ahead

01:12:26of the Faces of Fear in this matchup

01:12:28if they're going to be successful.

01:13:21background as well.

01:13:23And Ricky Morton, not being deterred at all,

01:13:26goes right back to the point of attack

01:13:28with another sleeper hold.

01:13:30He should tell him, Ming is not a ride.

01:13:32He's a wrestler.

01:13:33He's going to have to get him off his feet to beat him.

01:13:35Quit riding him.

01:13:36He don't know what to do with him.

01:13:37The man's too powerful.

01:13:38Look at the size of the shoulders on this man.

01:13:40Morton's attempting that sleeper as the great equalizer,

01:13:43trying to bring Ming down to the same size as he,

01:13:45trying to bring him down to the mat, but unsuccessful so far.

01:17:13One thing that guided the Rock and Roll Express to five

01:17:17World Tag Team Championships was not only their speed and

01:17:20their quickness, but their determination.

01:17:22The same thing you see with Eddie Guerrero each and every

01:17:25week.

01:17:29Faces of fear ever get one of the Rock and Roll Express

01:17:32in the corner and work them over like good tag team should

01:17:35do.

01:17:36You may never see them again.

01:17:38He absorbed the right hand from Ricky Morton, and there's

01:17:41the foot to the face from the Barbarian.

01:18:16I didn't think that Morton had anything left, any kind of

01:18:26is in the corner or what town he's in.

01:18:51I've always thought that the great champions had it, the

01:18:53great champions that throughout the years held the WCW World

01:18:56Heavyweight title belt, had that desire, that perseverance,

01:19:00that determination, that heart.

01:19:02Ricky Morton is exemplifying that right now.

01:19:04Well, he doesn't need perseverance.

01:19:05He doesn't need a heart.

01:19:07He needs a good chiropractor and some back surgery.

01:19:09Sure, and I know he's, you can see he's in a tremendous

01:19:12amount of pain, but he will not give up.

01:29:54a lot more single matches, like you said, and Steiner's always relying

01:29:58on his brother for help.
