00:00At $25,000, it's really hard to find a horse that can offer you what Blame does.
00:14Whether it's proven on the dirt or turf, long or short, you can get plenty of grade
00:181 winners.
00:19Some really brilliant horses like Nadal, Marley's Freedom, Volt, Epscon, you know, the list
00:25goes on.
00:26He had the favorite for the Oaks two years ago in wet paint.
00:28She ran a very solid, respectable fourth, but she went on to win the coaching club Oaks
00:34later in the summer.
00:36His statistics as a broodmare sire are starting to really speak for themselves and be very,
00:40very impressive.
00:41So, in 2024, he was the number one broodmare sire by percentage of black-tied horses.
00:46And then in 2025, he's already the number one broodmare sire of black-tied horses as
00:50starters.
00:51I've tried to advise anyone that listens that you need to have a Blame mare in your broodmare
00:55band.
00:56He's a damn sire of two young stallions, a stud and Forte and Loggins.
00:59I'm sure there'll be many more to come.
01:01But not only is he a great broodmare sire, he's turning out to be a true sire of sires.
01:05Nadal, who's famously won the Arkansas Derby during COVID, he's a champion first-year sire
01:09in Japan.
01:10He actually has quite a bit going for him right now.
01:14He's got a filly on the Oaks trail that's running in the Bourbonette or the Ashland
01:17that we own, that we're excited about and admit.
01:21He has Charlies to Blame, who won the Kittens Joysticks the other day at Gulfstream.
01:25Epic Ride, who was third in the Bluegrass last year, came back and won really impressively
01:30at Turfway in an allowance race last week.
01:33And then he's got a filly named Sylvology for Mr. Stewart Janney, who's two for two
01:36this year.
01:37We have a filly that won the groupie doll last year named Pagal.
01:41She's a Blame filly that will be coming back later this spring, early summer.
01:45So we're looking forward to her.
01:46We also have a filly named Agra that was second in the Oakland's Coke Stakes last year at
01:50Aqueduct.
01:51She's training beautifully down in Ocala, about to ship back to Belmont.
01:54I think he's poised to have a pretty big year.
01:57And I think people will regret not breeding to him if they haven't already.
02:00At 25,000, they're usually on their way up or on their way down, but he's been steady
02:03right there basically his whole career.
02:05He's just such a solid sire.
02:07His yearling average last year was 90.
02:08His two-year-old average last year was 125.
02:11Well over what his stud fee is.
02:14For someone that's looking to get their mare off to a good start, Blame is a clear-cut
02:17choice in my opinion.
02:19We're so proud of him.
02:20He's my personal favorite horse of all time, if you can't tell.
02:23For various reasons, obviously, mainly because he won the Breeders' Cup Classic in 2010.
02:27I've been in a lot of sports arenas in my life, and I'm not sure I've ever heard one
02:31get as loud as when they turn for home, and Zenyatta was bearing down on Blame.
02:36He's just so game.
02:37He's so gritty.
02:38He's so tough.
02:39Blame trying to hold on.
02:40Blame!
02:41And Zenyatta!
02:42Blame has won it ahead!
02:47Like nothing can stop this horse, and he passes that toughness down to his offspring.
02:52He's got plenty of years left, and we're looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
