00:02all done at a million five last time.

00:17Froze a l'Avion qui va triompher nettement.
00:19Rosalien and Sean Levy are up in the guinea!
00:31This month's News You Can Use segment is presented by Dali.
00:35Dali's Knight of Thunder is currently the leading sire
00:38of three-year-olds in Europe this year
00:40with 45 individual winners.
00:43And he is the only stallion in Europe
00:45with the winners to run a strike rate in excess of 50%.
00:49That's unheard of.
00:50And his is 53%.
00:52He is head of champion sire Frankel
00:55and his own great sire Dubawi.
00:59Knight of Thunder's top two-year-olds this year
01:01are led by the one and only Fairy Godmother,
01:03winner of the Albany Stakes Royal Ascot.
01:05And they include the Aga Khan's
01:07impressive Currah Maiden winner, Hazdan.
01:10Keep an eye on three-year-old Ombudsman 2
01:13as he is from the Gosden Stable.
01:15He's unbeaten and with a time form rating of 106p.
01:20He is surely bound for group races soon.
01:23On this week's News You Can Use,
01:24we are proud to introduce Emma Berry,
01:27the Cornhole Champion of France,
01:30along with Sue Finlay.
01:31How you doing, Emma?
01:33Well, I've been practicing my cornhole
01:35and also revising my form for this week's King George
01:39on Sat-Dead Ascot.
01:40Yeah, big weekend coming up.
01:43Well, Emma, I think the question about the King George
01:45is everybody's going to be asking.
01:46Two Breeders' Cup Turf winners,
01:48Rebels Romance and Agustro Dan,
01:50the last two Breeders' Cup Turf winners
01:52will meet in this race.
01:54What's your take on that?
01:55Who's likely to be the favorite?
01:56Who do you think will win?
01:58Well, that's a great question.
02:00I mean, current favorite is Agustro Dan
02:02and we all know with him,
02:05he can be absolutely tremendous
02:07and sometimes quite terrible.
02:10They've only met once before these two
02:12and that was in Dubai when Rebels Romance won the Shima Classic
02:16and Agustro Dan was last.
02:17So, you know, it's round two now.
02:20It's by no means just a two horse race,
02:22but we saw what I like to think of as the real Agustro Dan
02:26at Royal Ascot when he won the Prince of Wales Estates,
02:29really nicely, you know, coming back to the form
02:32that we know he can produce, you know, on his good days.
02:36So I guess everyone just holds their breath
02:40going into this, hoping that he's going to,
02:43you know, pull out all the stops
02:44and do what he can do best.
02:46But, you know, Rebels Romance is six now.
02:49He's so consistent.
02:51He's traveled all over the world.
02:53He's, I think, won 13 of his 18 races
02:56or something like that.
02:57He's just, you know, a terrific performer
03:00all around the globe.
03:01It'd be great to see him get his group one in England,
03:04where he's trained, obviously,
03:05by Charlie Appleby most of the time,
03:07although he does spend a lot of time on airplanes.
03:11Well, Emma, also on the immediate horizon over there
03:14is Goodwood, this particular five day meeting
03:17known worldwide as Glorious Goodwood.
03:20What, give us what you're anticipating
03:24to be the highlights of Glorious Goodwood this year.
03:27Well, I mean, the Sussex Stakes
03:30is always really the week's highlight.
03:32That's on Wednesday.
03:33I'm just going to dip in quickly before that
03:35as a real confirmed lover of stayers.
03:39And we start with the Goodwood Cup
03:40on the Tuesday, next Tuesday.
03:42And that's always a terrific contest.
03:45I mean, if people think Epsom is a weird track,
03:47they should go and see Goodwood,
03:48because it's a real sort of helter-skelter,
03:50downs track and uphill, down dale all over the place.
03:54But we're going to see Kiprios hopefully come back.
03:58He won the Goodwood Cup two years ago,
04:00came back in June and won the Ascot Gold Cup
04:02for the second time.
04:03But in between, he's had a death defying injury
04:06and it's terrific to see him back around.
04:09But I guess really what we're all mostly looking forward to
04:13is a return of Rosalian,
04:15who is really building up into the outstanding
04:20three-year-old Colt, I think,
04:21certainly in the miling division in Europe this year.
04:26And he won the St. James's Palace
04:28in his last run at Royal Ascot.
04:29He's the Irish 2000 Guineas winner,
04:31and he was second in the 2000 Guineas,
04:33a new market to notable speech,
04:35who we hope will be back in action in the Sussex Stakes.
04:37He sort of flopped at Ascot.
04:40So we're going to see him back
04:42and a proper battle between the two Guineas winners,
04:46but also in the mix is Henry Longfellow
04:48from Ballet Doyle, trained by Edna Brown, of course.
04:51And he went really close to Rosalian last time at Ascot.
04:55And I think it's going to be an absolutely absorbing contest,
04:59not just for three-year-olds, of course,
05:00they're taking on older horses as well,
05:02but they will be the market leaders for sure.
05:06What's going on with the other King George
05:08a little bit later on the week?
05:10Because I'm really looking forward to seeing Big Evs.
05:12Can we expect to see Big Evs running?
05:14I think so.
05:15I believe so.
05:16He's certainly entered.
05:18We're a little way out from Goodwood as we're recording,
05:20but that seems to be the plan.
05:21Back to five furlongs for him,
05:26and we'll buck to a sort of sharper five furlongs,
05:29if you like.
05:30He will be taking on again Asfora, the Australian mare,
05:35who turned up at Royal Ascot
05:38and did what we've seen lots of Australians do in the past,
05:41won a Group One very nicely.
05:43And yeah, they'll be hopefully back in competition again.
05:48Big Evs, he's had such a glorious two-year-old year,
05:51culminating at the Breeders' Cup last year,
05:53and then he hasn't done much wrong so far.
05:55He won on his debut and was third at Ascot,
05:58so it'd be great to see him back.
05:59I'm particularly looking forward to him getting,
06:01I think, back to York for the Nunthock,
06:04but yeah, hopefully we'll see him at Goodwood first.
06:07Can I just ask Emma to quickly explain,
06:09for those of you that have never been,
06:11it's like Ascot and Royal Ascot.
06:14You've got Goodwood and glorious Goodwood.
06:16Can you explain to people what makes it glorious?
06:19I suppose it's just the feature summer meeting.
06:22It was always a real highlight, I suppose,
06:24of the English social scene through the summer.
06:28It's obviously, it's five days now,
06:32and because it's mid-summer, it should be glorious,
06:34but we'll know the English weather
06:36isn't always playing ball.
06:37So yeah, it's like the tag it always had
06:41for that particular,
06:42and it's the best racing of the year
06:44at Goodwood in this week.
06:46Well, Emma, I want to thank you
06:47for taking time out of your busy cornhole schedule
06:49to join us this morning on the TDN Writers' Room
06:52with news you can use.
06:54Some great things coming up in Europe,
06:55and we'll all be paying attention,
06:56and we'll catch up with you again in a couple of weeks.
06:59Great, look forward to seeing you
07:00and showing off my cornhole trophy.
07:04Thanks, Emma.
