00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Well, for some
00:04of us, it's going to be a wet day on Tuesday. As we start the day, we've got this band of
00:09rain across many parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. It does eventually clear Northern
00:14Ireland during the course of the morning, begins to move into Wales and North West England.
00:18But for South West Scotland especially, a spell of very wet weather for a time. Warnings
00:23are in force. We could see some fairly difficult driving conditions in places. Ahead of this
00:28band of rain, it is fine and dry for many parts of England and eastern Wales. And in
00:34the sunshine, feeling warm, could see highs reaching around 25 or 26 degrees. Into the
00:40evening, certainly a better end to the day for much of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:45But the rain still continuing across South Western parts of Scotland, North West England.
00:49And that rain just beginning to move into South Western England too. So, a fairly cloudy
00:55and damp note for many central parts of the country. But again, holding on to the dry
01:00conditions towards the southeast, with further rain beginning to eventually move into parts
01:06of Northern Ireland. But for all of us, it's a fairly mild night for the time of year.
01:11In fact, for some of us actually, temperatures staying firmly in the teens. So, we start
01:16Wednesday with again, plenty of sunshine down towards the southeastern corner of the UK.
01:22It remains that way right throughout the day. Another fine summer's day to come here. The
01:27area of cloud and rain again just lingers across many central parts of the country.
01:32The rain a little bit more patchy in nature, but I think most of us here will still see
01:37the risk of some further rainfall. And for Northern Ireland and Scotland, further rain
01:42just moving in from time to time. And some of this will be heavy and possibly thundery
01:46in places. So, ahead of this band of cloud, we hang
01:50on to the warm conditions, could potentially be up to about 28 or 29 degrees in a few spots.
01:56But fresher air following on behind. So, for much of Scotland and the Northern Ireland,
02:00temperatures generally around the mid to high teens as we see out Wednesday afternoon.
02:07Then going forward after Wednesday, we start to see high pressure begin to build in across
02:11the UK, beginning to settle things down, especially as we head into the weekend and start September.
02:18You can find out more about the weather where you are over the next few days on our app
02:22or on our website. But from me for now, take care and I'll see you again soon.
