00:00Hello again. Very good evening to you. It feels like I've said this quite a lot recently
00:04but it's not always going to feel that summery as we go through this weekend. There's going
00:09to be some cloudy wet weather around and a relatively cool breeze at times too, particularly
00:14towards eastern parts. Here we have a system coming in from the North Sea. That's going
00:18to gradually become more of a thing as we go through this evening and overnight. So,
00:23some thickening clouds, some outbreaks of rain could be a little bit on the heavy side
00:26at times. Further west though, a little bit drier. Yes, some outbreaks of rain still possible
00:31where we see any showers kicking off but on the whole it is a bit drier and some clearer
00:36skies quite likely too. Where we see the cloud lingering, temperatures aren't going to drop
00:41much. Many places holding up in low double digits but we could just about fall to lows
00:45of around 7 or 8 Celsius over some parts of Scotland perhaps where we get any clear skies
00:51through the night. Into Saturday then and it is going to be a cloudy grey picture down
00:56the eastern side of the country. Rain coming in from the North Sea and it could still be
01:01a bit heavy at times and fairly persistent for some places. More rain developing across
01:05parts of eastern Scotland and down the eastern northeastern side of England as well as we
01:10go through the afternoon. Further west, a greater chance of catching some bright or
01:14sunny spells but also a scattering of showers developing and some of these could be quite
01:19heavy, could have some rumbles of thunder mixed in but they're not looking quite as
01:23intense or as frequent as the showers that developed across parts of the southwest today.
01:28Nonetheless, we could see some localized impacts as a result of them. Temperatures are still
01:32generally a little bit on the low side for the time of year. If you get any sunshine
01:37away from any of those showers, it's not going to feel too bad. Relatively warm, 19, 20,
01:42that kind of thing. But down the eastern side and with that thicker cloud, the outbreaks
01:46of rain and brisk northerly wind, it's really going to feel pretty cool with temperatures
01:51suppressed. Pretty unpleasant for the time of year. More wet weather to come across eastern
01:56northeastern parts as we go through Saturday evening and overnight. That swirl of rain
02:00continuing to make its way in and pushes a little bit further westwards for a time. Further
02:05west and south though, here it's actually looking largely dry and there will be some
02:09clear skies. Those showers largely dying out through the evening, taking us into a pretty
02:14fine night for many places. But because of the clearer skies, I'm expecting it to be
02:18a touch fresher for many places. First thing on Sunday morning compared to Saturday morning.
02:22Otherwise, as we go through Sunday itself, and it is looking a bit dry for many places,
02:27especially across the bulk of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and northern parts of Scotland.
02:32But still this swathe of wet weather, which has changed in position as we've been through
02:37this day. So slight differences in the detail, but that swathe of wet weather continuing
02:41across southern parts of Scotland, northern England for a time before then it should start
02:45to clear away. Away from this, there will be a few showers around. Some of them could
02:49be on the heavy side, but probably fewer showers than through today and also through Saturday.
02:55Also some bright sunny spells again and temperatures likely to be that little bit higher, 22, 23
03:00perhaps. And so feeling a bit warmer, perhaps feeling a bit more like summer than it has
03:04done recently. Still a bit of a northerly wind, particularly affecting eastern parts
03:09of Scotland. But even here, it's going to be a bit more pleasant than it will be on
03:13Saturday. Now on Sunday evening, our attention will be turning to Germany, where there will
03:19be a few showers around as we go through the day, but most of them will be clearing away
03:24in time for kickoff for the Euro 2024 final. We will, of course, be keeping you up to date
03:30with the forecast both across the UK and for the significant sporting events happening
03:34this weekend across our YouTube channel. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
