00:00Hello again. Tomorrow is looking like it will be quite bright, sunny at times, but also
00:05some showers to watch out for. Before then though, there is still a front making its
00:10way across the country. This has already brought a fair bit of rain to parts of northern UK
00:15and it is currently bringing some heavy rain to southern parts of Scotland, northwest England
00:20and western fringes of Wales. It's across the borders areas, parts of Dumfries Galloway
00:25that we're going to see some further impacts as we go through the end of the day with rainfall
00:29totals here likely to continue to build up. But that front does progress southeastwards
00:35as we go through this evening and overnight, so rain pushing into more parts of northern
00:39England across Wales, southwest England and into the Midlands as well. Ahead of this front
00:44in the southeast, it should stay dry with some clear skies, but we still have some warm
00:48humid air here, so temperatures not dropping a huge amount. But there is actually fresher
00:53air coming in behind this front and so for other places, particularly across parts of
00:58Scotland, Northern Ireland, turning a bit fresher, perhaps a bit cooler, a bit chillier
01:01maybe in some rural spots. There will be some rain then across parts of the Midlands, central
01:07southern England first thing tomorrow morning, even into Lincolnshire. And some of this could
01:10be heavy, could be some thunder mixed in as well. But that front does then push its way
01:14eastwards into parts of East Anglia, Kent, across London as well. But as it goes, it
01:20breaks up and it eases. So no heavy rain really reaching the far east of England. Behind it,
01:25some brighter, sunnier weather. Most of us will see some sunny spells at times through
01:29Tuesday. There will also be though quite a few showers, especially across Scotland and
01:33Northern Ireland. Here the showers are going to be fairly frequent, particularly towards
01:37the west. Meanwhile, across other parts of England and Wales, western areas, we may see
01:41some showers coming and going. Further east, a greater chance of staying dry once that
01:46front has pushed its way through. It is going to be a little bit fresher than it has been
01:51of late. I think in the far east, especially ahead of that front, still pretty warm temperatures
01:55in the mid-twenties once more. But otherwise, we're looking at mid to high teens, low twenties
02:00generally. So not feeling too bad in any bright or sunny spells. More showers to come as we
02:05go through the end of the day, particularly across Scotland and Northern Ireland. But
02:09a few showers are possible elsewhere. Some then heavier showery rain feeding in across
02:14western parts of Scotland as we go through the night. Meanwhile, across England and Wales,
02:18apart from a few showers towards western coastal parts, I think it is going to be largely
02:22dry with some clear skies. And because of that fresher air that's coming behind that
02:27front for many of us, especially across England and Wales, tomorrow night is going to be a
02:32little bit more comfortable than it has been through some recent nights. A real fresher
02:36feel to things. You may need to get that duvet back out. As we go through Wednesday, then
02:40it is going to be a bit of a cool showery day for many places. The showers will be piling
02:45in from the west northwest. So it's western northwestern parts where the showers will
02:49be most frequent. Initially, we have that heavier, more persistent rain across Scotland
02:53that does clear away and then it is just showers here. But like I say, plenty of showers around
02:58towards the east southeast. You may stay dry one or two showers perhaps, but perhaps a
03:03bit more cloud building as we go through the day, a little bit less sunshine compared to
03:07Tuesday. With that, then temperatures not going to be quite as high as they have been.
03:11I still think 23, 24, so near normal for the time of year, perhaps a touch below in
03:16some places. Towards the northwest of the UK, generally temperatures are going to be
03:20a little bit lower than this. Mid to high teens, just about low 20s. If you do catch
03:24any sunshine, not feeling too bad at all. But there will be a bit of a breeze around
03:29and that will add to the relatively cool feel to things. As we go later on in the week and
03:34do watch out because there will be some rain arriving. Various systems coming in from the
03:39west will bring spells of rain. The rain generally heaviest towards northwestern parts, but some
03:44rain will cross the UK and so most of us will see some rain at times as we go through Thursday
03:49into Friday. And there will be a bit of a breeze around as well. And so that will add to that
03:54generally cool feel. For more details about what we can expect through the week ahead,
03:58do check out a more in-depth video which is available on our YouTube channel
04:02with Alex Deakin. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
