00:00Hello, very good evening to you. It is going to be a bit showery and a little bit cool
00:04this weekend, but before then there is some heavy persistent rain around. Through today
00:09we've had a waving front across southern parts bringing some persistent rain here. A pulse
00:14within this is then going to make its way north-eastwards as we go through this evening,
00:18so many parts of England seeing some heavy persistent rain for a time. And there'll also
00:22be a system lying across some northern parts of Scotland too, bringing some heavy rain
00:27here, could be some flooding, which is why we do have a warning out. Elsewhere, yes there'll
00:31be some hefty showery rain around, but also some clear skies and where we get any clear
00:36skies with some cool air across us at the moment, temperatures are going to take a little
00:40bit of a dip, particularly in rural spots dropping well in two single figures. Many
00:44towns and cities are holding up in double digits. So a bit of an unsettled start for
00:49some of us first thing tomorrow morning. Still some heavy persistent rain affecting some
00:53parts of northern Scotland. Totals could build up in excess of 50mm perhaps, so that's
00:57why we could see some impacts. Otherwise, as we go through the day, a lot of the heaviest,
01:02most frequent showery rain is actually going to clear away, but there will still be plenty
01:06of showers following in behind and some of these could still be heavy. Some rumbles of
01:10thunder, a bit of hail, many of us likely to catch some of these, especially towards
01:14the north and west. Across many parts of England and Wales, by the afternoon the showers are
01:19going to be a bit more hit and miss in nature and so a greater chance of staying largely
01:23dry with some bright or sunny spells around. But there will be a bit of a breeze and blustery
01:28winds around and we do still have that cool air across us and so temperatures are on the
01:33low side for the time of year and it is going to feel pretty cool for the fact that it is
01:37July. As we go through the end of the day, we are going to have more showers for a time.
01:42Still some late sunshine in a few spots, but the showers are largely going to die out overnight
01:47and that means it is going to turn largely dry for a time. Some clear skies, particularly
01:51towards more central and eastern parts and under those clear skies it could be perhaps
01:56a little bit fresh again for some places, so dropping a little bit lower than you might
02:01expect at this time of year. But again, towns and cities generally holding up. And then
02:05Sunday gets off to a fine start across eastern parts. Showers already in the west from first
02:11thing and those showers are going to become more widespread across much of the country
02:16as we go through the day. Again, some of these showers will be heavy, they will be
02:20thundery at times, there could be some hail mixed in with them and they are going to be
02:24pretty frequent. So frequent in fact, I think there is a reasonably good chance or reasonably
02:28high chance that we are going to see some showers affecting play at Wimbledon and there
02:32is a reasonable chance we could see some showers affecting the British Grand Prix at Silverstone
02:37as well. Still temperatures are going to be a little bit on the low side, but the winds
02:42will have eased a little bit compared to Saturday. I mean, Saturday is not looking very windy
02:45but a bit blustery, but the winds are looking lighter on Sunday and so it should feel ever
02:50so slightly warmer perhaps when you get any sunny spells away from those hefty showers.
02:56There is more unsettled weather to come as we go through into next week, so do make sure
03:01you stay up to date with the forecast, which you can do so by subscribing to our YouTube
03:05channel. Bye bye.
