00:00Hello, very good day to you. There will be some drier, brighter weather around today
00:05for some of us, not all of us because there is also going to be quite a bit of rain in
00:09some parts. Showers across north-western areas and then this waving frontal feature brings
00:14some heavier persistent rain across some southern areas. That is pushing its way eastwards so
00:19it's across south-eastern counties that we're going to see some hefty rain as we go through
00:23the afternoon but also some outbreaks of rain pushing into parts of Devon and Cornwall perhaps
00:28too. Like I said though, showers across Scotland, Northern Ireland, some of these quite heavy,
00:33could be some rumbles of thunder mixed in but in between these two areas, so across
00:37more central parts, largely dry and there will be some brightness breaking through at
00:42times. And with that brightness, temperatures not doing too badly, highs of around 23, 24
00:47Celsius so in any sunshine feeling pretty warm. More showers to come as we go through
00:52the end of the day across northern parts, particularly Scotland, Northern Ireland, north-west
00:56England seeing plenty of showers through this evening, some continuing overnight. Further
01:00south some outbreaks of rain for a time but these should clear away and so for large chunks
01:05of the country it is going to be mostly dry and there will be some clear skies around.
01:10Still quite a muggy warm feel to things, especially in the southeast. Temperatures not dropping
01:15a huge amount here, something a little bit fresher, perhaps a bit more comfortable for
01:18some of us elsewhere but yes, still quite a warm night for some of us. Starting off
01:24then tomorrow morning and it is going to be a showery day for many places, especially
01:28towards the north-west. Some hefty showers across west and Scotland. These will feed
01:32a little bit further eastwards as we go through the day and across Northern Ireland, plenty
01:36of showers here and also across many parts of northern England and even Wales into the
01:41middle and south-west England we may see a few showers developing at times. Across eastern
01:46parts of England, particularly the south-east, here you have a good chance of staying dry
01:50with very few if any showers here and even here there will be some bright sunny spells
01:55and even elsewhere in between the showers some sunshine breaking through and in that
02:00sunshine with temperatures similar or perhaps a touch higher than today it is again going
02:04to feel pretty warm nonetheless. As we go through the evening there will be some more
02:09showers to come, especially across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland but elsewhere
02:13a drier picture and we could see some pockets of mist and fog developing first thing on
02:18Saturday but then Saturday itself another showery day for many of us. There will be
02:23some sunshine in between those showers once more but then we are likely to see a ridge
02:28of high pressure building as we go into Sunday and that brings the potential for something
02:32a little bit drier and then we could see our temperatures rising as we go through the early
02:36part of next week. For more information about what we can expect through this weekend do
02:40head to our YouTube channel as Alex Deakin will have a full update later. I'll see you
02:45again soon. Bye bye.
